[PRODUCT]1637[/PRODUCT]
hello
the Bulk CLA Softgels offer looks very interresting and I'd like to know if "Tonalin" name appears somewhere on the Label of this product?

I'm asking that because I've read this on ultimatefaturner.com :
QUOTE
"When you're looking for a quality CLA supplement, look for the
"Tonalin" name somewhere on the label. Tonalin is the patented
form of Conjugated Linoleic Acid that was used in the studies
determining the effectiveness of this supplement."

thx

What you quoted is an ad. I can write anywhere "Make sure your Tribulus Powder has the 1Fast400 label", but it means just about as much.

The bulk CLA caps are 70% CLA, and the isomer configuration is identical to Tonalin.

If you feel like paying 3 times as much for the brand name, though, feel free.

Any chance for small bottles of the stuff in the future? Kind of spendy to try out at the moment.

Maybe pricy to try but DEFINATELY worth the cost. biggrin.gif

IMHO of course! I have been using Now Foods CLA but I'm going to switch to 1fast400 CLA softgels.

Primaforce will have an affordable, high-quality CLA available within the next couple weeks.

Thanks!

Im a little thick, how does this compare in value of 'bang for the buck' to bulk nutritions CLA powder (Assuming caping isnt a factor for you)

I don't know about POWDERED CLA. I recently wrote a brief review of literature for a research design class, on CLA. I've been taking Now Foods' CLA 1000, as it's the best bang for the buck. Tonalin is just a registered name of a specific blend of isomers, which- if altered in the slightest bit, is no longer "tonalin" but rather "generic" and just as good. Most studies and commercial preparations use a 1:1 ratio of cis9,trans11 and trans10,cis12 isomers. the trans10,cis12 isomer seems to be the one most responsible for changes in lean body mass and fat mass- primarily by inhibiting the filling of adipocytes (inhibits enzyme adipocyte lipoprotein lipase, LPL).

sorry to get tedius. just thought i'd clear a little bit up on what i was reading.

So is it possible to know whether this BN version has a good isomer ratio? Or can we just assume it does or maybe raise the dosage a bit to be sure. It is damn cheap which is great.

IIRC, the isomer ratio is 1:1 trans-10, cis-12 : cis-9, trans-11 comprising around 80% of total isomers.

With a 70% CLA, 80% of these are the active isomers (total 50% by weight) and 50/50 t10,c12/c9, t11.

With t10, c12 being the isomer most desired, this would yield around 250mg per gram.
