I am odering 1 by dermabolics.It says to avoid skin contact with children after administration.I was wondering for how long as I have a 4 month old son.Thanks

I would recommend being overly cautions, and covering any application areas with saran wrap

thanks for the advise guys.I will use rubber gloves and put saran wrap over applied areas.If some gets on my hands and after washing hands is there a time limit to try and not have skin contact with my son.thanks again!!

If you think there's still some risk, perhaps you should consider a different route of administration. It's something you have to be very diligent with, wear gloves, wash hands right after and always keep area covered. A little paranoia is a good thing, not only is the 4-AD not something you want him exposed to, but the transdermal carrier itself could cause irritation.

It is possible though, I was a stay-at-home dad for the last 3 years with my young daughter and had no problems with transdermals.

Wasn't there some story a couple years ago about some British guy who was using some transdermal and handling his 2 year old son, and how the kid got a bunch of pubic hair and a abnormally large penis and genitals?

Don't know if it was just an internet thing, but really, if I were that kid I wouldn't have minded the side effects.

That story is apparently true. The guy was using a test cream and did a lot of sweating on a work out pad doing abs, and also wrestling with his kid. The kids pubic hair eventually fell out but his dick didn't shrink. There is concern about long term effects for the kid and stunted growth.

You also have to be very careful not to let women get this stuff on their skin.

I'm not so sure about this. While I *do* remeber seeing the Androderm story in several news outlets this might not be so bad- especially for sporadic contact. Here is an excerpt from my journal on this:

"When I first started researching this product (S1+) on-line one of the cautions I ran into in a few places was to always wear clothing over the sprayed area to prevent other people- especially kids and women- from coming into contact w/ the spray. Well, last night my wife, uhhh, sort of came into contact w/ a sprayed area. Lots of ‘em actually- it was one of those good-night kisses that just kept going. And it really didn’t seem to have any affect on her. We had lots of skin-to-skin contact, we were both pretty sweaty, and I felt some burning on my face from transferred Agent-Orange, but she seemed totally unaffected. In fact she fell asleep w/ her cheek on my chest which had just been sprayed 3-4 hrs previous. So I guess that’s not a big worry either. She could have absorbed some of the drug too, but I doubt that amount would make much of a difference. Mainly I was worried it would get on her clit somehow- that would just HAVE to hurt. I’ll keep an eye on her for a few days but I don’t think I have much to worry about."
