[PRODUCT]844[/PRODUCT] ok am i reading the analysis right..as its hard to see even on my lcd mac monitor..is that 90% poly 70%cat and 50% egcg's?

if the egcgs are that high it looks like i would only need 2 grams for 100mgs of egcg's. smile.gif

Posted by: rrgg Aug 31 2004, 06:27 PM
That would explain why the NOW brand is about the same price here, even though it's capped. Thanks.

NOW:
40% catechins
60% polyphenols
100g cost = $15 (capped)

1Fast bulk powder:
70% catechins
90% polyphenols
100g cost = $14 (bulk)

If it's 50% egcg, then you'll only need 200mg to get 100mg ecgc.

Is there a rec dosage for 1fast bulk green tea powder?

Posted by: wojo Sep 2 2004, 02:57 PM

Your numbers are correct, the extract is 50% EGCG.

I would take 1 gram daily

Posted by: Brendan Sunderland Dec 17 2004, 10:23 PM
I would have thought that as stated on the spec. sheet that the extract is 90% Polyphenols of which 70% are Cattchins of which 50% are EECG so 0.9 X 0.7 X 0.5 = 0.315g EECG per 1 gram of extract powder. Therefore as 400mg EECG is stated as the min effective amount per dose, then about 1.2grams of extract powder is needed per dose.

Agree?

I was wondering the same thing: is it 50% of the total, or 50% of the 70% or the 90%?

50% of the total would be nice...

I believe it is the same potency as Primaforce Lean Green, which is 50% of the total.

For example, there are 500mg per capsule of Lean Green which equals 250mg of EGCG per capsule after you do the math.

Thanks!

Hmm....looks like I am going to have to start selling 55% EGCG powder. biggrin.gif

Dsade:

That sounds like it would be great. My fiancee just switched from the VasoPro to AppliedNutrition's Liquid-Gel Cortisol Hunger Control™ & Liquid-Gel Green Tea Fat Burner™ and has found them to be much more effective. AN's products are $3.96 per 30 gel-caps at WalMart.

Their ingredients for the GT are:
Green Tea Extact 400 mg

Chromium Picolinate 125 mcg

Advantra Z Citrus Aurantium Extract 200 mg

Bioperine™ Complex
Bioperine Piperine Extract 2 mg
Piper Longum Extract 3 mg
Ginger Root Extract 3 mg

But it doesn't list what the EGCG or catechin/polyphenol percentages are. I have left a vm with the company requesting a call back with the details.

Doctor's Trust Green Tea Extract is 250mg with 75% catechins & 50% polyphenols - at $4.79 per 120 caps.

I'd be interested to know if there really is a difference in effectiveness/absobtion with the liquid-gels as opposed to dry powder caps as well.

I've tried them myself, but haven't noticed any effects (but then I'm resistent to most pharmaceuticals).

I hate to mention non-site brands, but I'm really looking for the best/most effective product smile.gif

Price-wise, it seems that 1Fast400 still has everyone beat for the bulk powder - and here I thought I was getting a really good deal on the AN brand cool.gif

Maybe 1Fast400 can start supplying its own brand of Cortisol?

Ordered this powder, very pleased with the FAST delivery. I have an extremely strong stomach but this stuff is a challenge. I have to put my mind in a "happy place" after drinking it to keep my food down. smile.gif The best way I have found is in a small glass with honey and warm water. Drink it like a shot and have chasers ready.

Questions: I have read that milk products fight with the effect of the green tea extract. Correct?

Also, would vinegar mess this up? I take shots of raw vinegar and honey. Will keep the GTE and vinegar separated if they conflict, don't want to waste my revulsion investment. biggrin.gif

None are interested in your green tea concerns, you son of a hamster and a father who smells of elderberries!

Your French insults do not dissuade me from pursuing the grail of green tea knowledge. I shall continue to search and inquire in hopes that knowledge and kindness will converge here in a reply from a noble forumite. rolleyes.gif

Your questions, which I see as chemical in nature, are interesting ones. I hope someone else can answer them.

My concern is about you drinking green tea extract.

I think you have amazing willpower and should write a book. The world would benefit from your techniques of self-control. If not the world, then certainly the military would value your proficiency with bodily self-regulation. biggrin.gif

Both of you, run to the light and bathe in the power of this wonderful substance, only then will you be liberated from the evils of the american diet. Your wallets will be empty but will quickly be replenished by your strong will and fortitude. For maximum effect you must consume it alone without food or drink and then try to whistle. Good luck on your quest.

Adam, does the "Liquid Gel Cortisol Hunger Control" make your fiancee feel tired after taking it? It contains anti-anxiety ingredients. It also contains horny goat weed (Epimedium Extract).

I got 200gr of Green tea extract. I've tried what Gary Batchelder said but still it's the hardest thing to eat/drink. It sticks to my mouth and water doesn't wash it down. I won't be able to order caping device for next 3 months, so any other suggestions how to take it without feeling it in your mouth?

Posted by: Gary Batchelder Apr 23 2005, 06:34 AM
da_sense,

My latest way to "enjoy" this powder is to put it in a small glass, (make sure it is glass), put the powder in, slowly run in some warm to hot water, mix it thoroughly with a spoon or fork, put in sugar or honey and put a bit in your mouth, slug it down, follow immediately with another glass of warm water.

Not only does it get the good stuff in ya, it makes ya feel like a tough guy. mad.gif biggrin.gif

That being said, I just got some capping supplies in and have turned woosie. ph34r.gif

That's the way I take it, but still I'm left with that ugly taste for 2-3 hours after. Anyway I have some 150 tyrosine capsules left so I'll put that tyrosine into my bulk tyrosine and put green tea into capsules by hand. Messy work but easier than feeling green tea in my mouth smile.gif

you gotta cap green tea and tribulus powders. i can drink anything else w/o capping including CEE, alcar, chocamine, l-tyrosine, Rhodiolo Rosea, etc when mixed with cocao powder and splenda or some other BSL flavoring.

I capped some of my extract and took them today. Didn't get that wonderful revulsion rush. huh.gif biggrin.gif

It does tempt a guy to take more, though, since it is so easy. I was doing 2 half-teaspoons a day. Two 00 caps are a bit more than a half-teaspoon, took 3 this morning.

I am loosing fat, but I am also on a very high-fiber diet, lots of water, and drinking green tea on top of it. Light exersize, too.

Guys you can toss in half a t spoon of this stuff into your whey protein in water. push the powder down into the drink, it will clump up, and the whey will make somewhat of a seal i guess around the powder You can then just down it and barely taste any of it.

I was kind of interested in green teas and extracts. Pretty good post. I read somewhere that someone makes a green tea extract that comes in a concentrated liquid form. Like a lotion bottle with a pump. You apparently pump a few drops into water, mix and drink.

I have no idea what it tastes like. You guys are scaring me though!

Think of over-eating the color green and then regurgitating the meal. The resultant taste mixed with your stomach's hydrochloric acid pretty well sums it up.

Time to suck it up and be a man!

*slap, slap* ohmy.gif biggrin.gif

1/2 teaspoon in a small glass with warm water with another warm water as a chaser. What a rush! I drink this crap every morning, very comforting, revulsion is a sure sign of continued existence. blink.gif

I plan on buyin some green tea extract and maybe using them w/caffeine every Once in a while so i dont grow a tolerance to either one. Any suggestions on doses for both combined I was thinking 400mg Caffeine and 400mg GTE
Sound good for a quick pick me up? I also plan on capping . Im not dumb enough to even attempt to taste some of the powders offered here. If i wanted to vomit Id chew on aluminum foil

Can anyone clue me in on the right dosage, assuming I'm using the very cost effective 1Fast Green Tea Powder?
