Im starting my diet and I am quite familiar with the phrase dont eat late at night... I would like some suggestions on what to eat/drink as a snack I work out early in the morning, go to work, and then attend night classes. After I get home, usually after 9, I'm pretty hungry, I typically make myself a protein shake with skim milk and some berries. Is this too much sugar? Should I switch to a slower digesting protein at night? or would that possibly lead to fat? thanks

+1 on cottage cheese and casein. A big can of tuna is great before bed too. Not sure what the rate is for meats and fish but im sure its slow. I believe Fat slows down the absorbtion rate of protein. Some fish oil with your whey shake or a tsp or 2 of natty PB is good to go for a slower release.
