I'd go with what you mentioned plus some Fish Oil like Barlean's. Don't need anything too far out there.

For the creatine you should take Neovar.

Itll help you keep some weight on too since it increases your appetite.

Fish oil may not be a good idea as it could lengthen the amount of time prior to recovery.

Past studies done on patients with severe trauma indicate the best way to speed recovery and minimize learn muscle wasting includes:

-Extremely high amounts of vitamin C - 20 grams or so
-Branch chain amino's
-Glutamine

If you ask, your surgeon will tell you to lay off the fish oil for a few weeks prior to surgery due to its effects on platelet aggregation.

Just keep in mind the simple fact that fish oil (omega 3's) are anti-inflammatories, which by nature, will prevent some necessary inflammation/recuperation.

True story. I had surgery in early March and they advised me to sty off fish oil for a week or so prior for this reason. C is well known for its wound healing ability, as is E.
