| what is the best coumpound exersize to target ur quads? |

| Compound exercises are multi-joint movements that work several muscles or muscle groups at one time. |

| It's where you put your feet on any squat that decides what gets targeted mostly. Feet closer= more quads, if you do more of a sumo stance then its hamstring/glute focused. |

Still need to try sprints. May be a dumb question as Im not a runner, and not intune with strides...But do I land on my heels and roll onto my toes?? Cause usually when I sprint, its alot of pushing and landing from the balls of my feet, like Im on my toess.....i think lol. |

| Balls of your feet, always always always. |

| Would agree front SQ are the way to go. Also back sq are effective (obviously), more quads are recruited if you have a small heal like Oly shoes. |

Actually a small (thin) heal would be taking stress off of the quads. BB's sometimes put their heels on a board to raise the heels, putting more stress on the quads. |

Yup. When sprinting, you should be staying on the balls of your feet the whole time, gripping and clawing at the ground w/ your toes. Crossfit recommends landing on the ball of the foot even for long distance. This is something I find awkward and haven't been able to accomplish. |

| i'd say gears are the best |

| If your sprinting the heel of you foot should never touch the ground, if your jogging you should go, heel, toe, heel, toe. Deep A2G squats will build quads, but I think leg presses build them better. |

How does having a small heal take stress off the quads but putting your heal on a board, which raises your heal (same as a heal on a shoe) puts more stress on quads? |

Maybe I am misunderstanding what you mean by "small". The lower your heals, the less quad emphasis. The higher your heals, the more quad emphasis. We may be saying the same thing - just misunderstanding on my part. |

| I (as others have said) would reccomend doing leg presses and squats with your feet very close together. I like to do squats on a smith machine with my feet touching. that way you dont really have to worry about balancing that weight with the strange form. I've seen someguys strap they're legs close together with a weight belt while leg pressing to keep them close.. and this dude was diesel.. haha |
