People who lift at night

I may have found the answer...well sort of. I am one of the unlucky people i guess that have to lift at night (around 7 or so) and i have to be up usually around 5 for work the next day, so in the past any type of stims have killed me, unless i guzzle nyquil before bed (which usually just makes me feel fuckin drained in the morning) Ive taken caffeine pills and stuff like no xplode when i had to lift at night and id be up till like 2 in the morning and unable to sleep, which sucked obviously..anywho

I found a solution, I got this little pakcets of crystal light, who makes an energy one now. It contains Caffeine along with Vit B6 and 12. They have the perfect amount of blend in them, to keep you up and ready to lift, and then fine for sleep afterwards without the jittery/ansy i have to go to soemthing else feeling. Really good stuff, I empty the packet in a liter of water or so before i have my post workout meal around 5 and sip it untill about a half hour before i lift, and the energy levels have been great



comes in the packets also, contains 120mg of caffeine


Kind of long, but the shit works, thought id give a heads up for people that need a boost when lifting at night but cant afford to be up all night afterwards

cool, i might try that out. because like you, i have to workout at 8-9pm until like 11 or so. If i take a NoXplode or whatever, im up all night too.

Yeah I know what you mean...Sometimes I lift at 6 or so, and taking stims then sucks cuz im up so late then...but working out at night gives me more rest...So its a catch 22. mad.gif

You could always get up earlier and train before work. M/W/F/ are cardio days for me and I'm up, and running at 2am (I start work at 4am)

hmm will look into it...they have it here for a real good price, it almost looks like they put the wrong price up, they list NOW's version at 60 500mg pills for 4.00

im up at like 4, 5 in the morning for work, its tough to be able to be "up" for anything around the time i lift. I usually only take the crystal light on days that i do legs or deads. Its the only stimulant i take anyways and i dont take it everyday so i dont see it as a problem for me really, plus sometimes i dont take it and it just takes more effort to get into a "zone" for the 30 seconds-1 minute of reps

I usually workout at latest 12:30 to 2:30-45AM.
forcing myself to sleep early while taking ephedrine to force myself
up early.

I always figured working out at night was a bad idea because the hours immediately follwing your workout is when your body needs the most nutrients, which youre not going to get if youre too busy sleeping.

I do. Allows me to have a few meals in me before I workout, and it also gives me something to look forward to during the day...Just my personal preference

You can still have your little PWO shake and a meal after you lift at night. He makes it sound like you cannot eat at night at all just cause you lift at night.

Also you grow 24/7. The rest of the day's diet is just as important as what you eat an hour after you lift.
