I just ordered the 10 pound bag/box of the Scivation Whey protein. It was on sale for 60 bucks elsewhere and I just figured i'd try it. Has anyone tried it?? I'd like to know if there are any opinions out there. Lemme know!

I'd be interested to know how it compares in taste to other whey proteins, too. Someone post when they try it.

It should be decent. The guys from Scivation/Primaforce have put out some great products.

I know Substance was awesome, so I'm hopeful.

It can't be that bad and for $60 it's a bargain.

Hey you all! I got my protein in the mail today. I took some pictures for ya The box is like.. 6" by 12" approx http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e319/engagechad/0703081138.jpg Not a square like Dymatize elite whey http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e319/engagechad/0703081138a.jpg The bag inside the box is much stronger feeling than the Dymatize or the ON bag. The Dymatize "ziploc" ish seal was really flimsy and floppy and never really stuck right. This one is pretty nice. http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e319/engagechad/0703081139.jpg The scoop is normal size.. 70cc.. and BLUE! http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e319/engagechad/0703081142.jpg I managed to get some on my pants already.. I'll review the stain later http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e319/engagechad/0703081146.jpg It tastes good and thickens up pretty good with water.. which is rare in a whey.. http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e319/engagechad/0703081150.jpg So buy away! Chad approves

Nice man, can't wait to receive mine! And are you sure those stains aren't from something else?
| Posted by: ENGAGE Jul 7 2008, 09:03 AM | ||
Hahah.. yeahhh.. about those stains.. .. I have a stupid water bottle that is notorious for dripping all over me.. I hate it! Everytime I go to drink anything from it I have like slurp all the water from around the threads of the bottle so I dont drip all over me.. grr |

i have the chocolate and it takes great... it's a little more thicker then other usual whey proteins but still good.

I'm guessing this is mostly wpc instead of wpi, otherwise they would have kept the substance name?

Protein is def a lot thicker and better tasting then most i have tried. I usually use optimum nutrition but after trying scivation i might have to strat going with them. Not to mention the ten pund bag is a good deal |

Vanilla flavor tastes good. It mixes pretty well and is quite thick

it's mostly concentrate ... isn't isolate the best way to go?
Posted by: Will109090 Jul 16 2008, 03:10 PM
I think it's 60% concentrate and 40% isolate. Unless you're a competitive bodybuilder, it doesn't mean shit.
Posted by: willpiazza31 Jul 16 2008, 03:34 PM
Well since most of your protein should come from real food anyway it shouldn't make that much difference.

Even as a competitve bodybuilder, it doesn't mean much. IMHO, all a protein powder needs to do is deliver its label claims (and taste pretty decent) and this stuff is the goods. |

Exactly Rob anyone can write what ever they want on a freaking label, but is that the truth? Hmmmm
