Yes there is some. In France, something like 75% of their power comes from nuclear. You're referring to 3-mile Island. That incident scared the shit out of everyone, but the truth is not one person died or got sick. The nuke plant did what it was supposed to do in an emergency situation. More people have died in the back of Ted Kennedy's car than died at 3-mile island.
