Roids, we aren't SUPPOSED to know. You are given a choice in life to accept it or not.

Good points Roids. So is it beliefs based upon unknown and fears, or an innate GIFT to be aware of a creator??? hmmmm

What do you choose?

Religion wasn't to blame. People are to blame. It's called accountability. Whatever.... dry.gif People justify killing with "religion".

Accountability has been a huge focal point for a buddy and I's conversations regarding his girlfriend. Lack of accountability for an individual's actions putting them where they are today. It's not everyone else's fault or everyone else's problem that you put yourself into thousands of dollars of debt or you're running around with an abusive significant other. Or that you get drunk downtown and get into questionable situations.

It's not God's fault for war. It's a group of people seeking out an objective, 99% of the time that objective being someone else's land. Not fucking religious pursuits. That's just gibblty-gob political leaders feed the ignorant masses into believing. It's easier to scape-goat a religion than it is to take personal accountability.

If our President originally said, "We're gunna go fuck Saddam in the ass for persecuting his people for no good reason," I'd be like, "Well, good, fuck em'. We're already setup for retort against Al Qaeda (ironically who we originally funded anyway), why not double over? They're right next to each other." Instead we were fed BS and mislead. I think accountability was finally named, but never focused on because the media doesn't care about the good, only the strife and conflict. Notice how no one ever looks fucking good on TV? I wonder why that is....

Joe: I think it is an innate gift that goes with human intelligence. We're capable of the awarenessm, but not able to understand due to the limitations of human intelligence.

Shakes: That's some scary shit! It means we're all orphans. sad.gif

I didn't realize how awesome a surround sound system could be until I heard an optical audio cable streaming 7.1 digital audio.

BTW, that probably has more to do w/ DAC's and such more than the optical cable. But, I do get your point. And, this is off-topic.

Greed is the root of all evil. Power. Power is what created religion. Religion is what give a lot of people power. A big ass circle jerk.

Incorrect. People give people power. Some people just take power and make it for themselves. Religion is merely a facade.

Using religion to get what one wants for one's self advancement in power or wealth is truly evil.

It is deception at it's best.

I think we are in agreement, maybe I just misstated my point a little.

I also mis-read a little bit, too. People also give religion power, as you said. People allow religion to have power or control over them.

People use religion as a tool to get what they want in corrup cases. People are corrupt by nature (influenced by greed, ect) therefore religion is corrupted???

I believe religion, at least some forms of it, have had some positive influences on humanity. Teaching kindness and goodwill are always good, no matter under which pretense it is presented.

Also, I believe one thing supersedes every other thought I have... the "Golden Rule".

Paraphrased... Do to others as you would have others do to you.

But, I'm still working on my nasty habit for harboring re/vengeful feelings.

Ok, here is a question:

If God loves us, why are so many people in the world suffering? Is God loving?

Deductive reasoning is such a fallacy. And it correlates to my original point of accountability. Religion is "meant" to be good. It's people who interpret it in order to further their means, just like the Constitution has been in the past. Again, it's the person or people, not the religion. Religion is an intangible thing. I don't understand how people can think it makes anyone do anything.

Again, who is at fault? God, or us for not taking care of ourselves and our people? Who has the choice? We do, because that's what we were "given".

Ahhhh good choice of words Ftank.

We have the ability to help ourselves, and people in need.

Wow, good point. However selfishness > God's will, in the eyes of humanity.

That is deep.
