I've done some research but cannot find a clear cut answer to - does caffeine has an adverse reffect on nitric oxide supplementation? Many per-workout products have both although I am looking at taking caffeine all day not just pre-workout. I am taking nitrix and called BSN about it. One operator said they fight for absobsion and don't do it. The other said it is perfectly ok. I have a Forskolin 40mg, fat burner with 250 mg caffeine 2x a day(no ephedra or synephrine) and want to take the 2 supps together. the only vaso-constrictor possibility in the fat burner is the caffeine. My goal is fat loss not building right now and I'm using the NO supps because I was on fat burners for about 6 months straight and needed to cycle off.

I take aakg and i stack it with caffeine...hell, i stack it with every know stimulant you can think of. it still gives me a pump. 2 tsps pre-workout and 2 post. If you're in doubt that the AAKG is working with the caffeine, just throw in some yohimbe. 2 vasodilators will get it done. the proof is in the mirror. yes caffeine is a constrictor and aakg is a dilator but how do you look? more pumped? more vascular? then its working. if you dont see a diff, dump it. Some swear NO is garbage....i dont. it works for me. P.S. that Forskolin is the shit. it stimulates cAMP without any CNS activity....perfect for nighttime use. i doubt it would have any adverse effects with the arginine or caffeine. These are just my opinions based on my actual use of this products.

according to a book i have on herbs says forskolin helps with the cAMP in breaking down fat and counteracts the decreased response of fat cells to lipolytic hormones, such as epinephrine, associated with aging. it increases the thyroid hormone production and stimulates the thyroid hormone release. in addition it was shown to help lower blood pressure and help give an increased ventricular contraction. i took the last sentence and assumed that a lowered bp and more powerful contractions would help with the NO, less resistance in vasodilation and stronger blood flow... all good things, but this supp had all of that caffeine, so i wanted to be sure i wasn't wasting the NO product with all of that caffeine. ps i'll try the yohimbine soon, i was already thinking about it.

This subject was raised on a few other boards I frequent, but there are an awful lot of people who swear by products like Shock Therapy, NOX, and NO Shotgun.

ultimately i'd just like to know how much caffeine will be too much and make th NO product worthless as they fight for absorption or constrict vs. dilate?

well evryone is going to be different....i take my own homemade NO mix with creatine...and im taking my free bottle of redline pills which have 673mg of a "proprietry blend" which is basically caffeine....i get a good sweat....and my vascularity has been better each time i lift...my leg veins have been bigger and pop out more than they did before...which is cool

Why would almost every pre-workout supplement on the market have both if they did contradict one another? |
