I've been working out around 10-10:30PM for awhile now. I remember hearing a while back that you burn more calories when you lift at night. Does anyone know why this is true?

Studies conducted by Arizona State University show that the most calories are burned between the hours of 10:30-11:15pm.

no idea. But i do know that Test levels are peak when you first wake up in the morn. Only thing i do in the morn is cardio though.

I get much, much more energy at night. Obviously some sort of genetic evolutionary thing in my case. Ive always have more energy/endurance at night.

so that was his secret to that huge muscle gain!

i thought it was just the constant flexing and posing for musclebear.

When you work out, or eat, has no real effect on fat burning, or caloric expenditure, how many calories coming in vs going out is what matters.

I train at 12-2am on a regular basis… I train all the time.. It could be am or pm.

I hardly ever sleep normal hours anyway.

When I first started lifting a few years ago, I trained at night. Never had problems sleeping, but then again I was going to bed late and waking up late since I was in college.
