I have been using Universal's Real Gains for about a year now. Personally for me, it blows ON away, which I used for years. The convienince of the 10lb bag was nice though. Anyhow, Universal has a 11lb tub of Great Gains for $38. The 6.85 lb of Real Gains is $30. Has anyone used the great gains. The deal is good, but I hate to pass up on what I know works.

Apples and oranges.

They are both for different goals. ON's is not a weight gainer, Real Gains is.

Both solid products though.

If I remember right I didn't particularly like the break down of the nutrients in great gains and was mostly just a super high calorie gainer.

Real Gains has good fats and doesn't use a really crappy type of carb/sugar. Granted Malto Dextrin is still a relatively high molecular weight carb yet classified as a complex carb. Malto though is much much better on the body then fructose which will get absorbed by the liver quite a bit which is bad.

I was not comparing ON to Real Gains, when I made the switch though, results added up quickly. Real Gains is more complete for what I need.
