| For those of you that haven't tried it from seeing the oil ring on the top, as thats how I used to feel about it, once you've tried it I don't think you'll have the regular sugary stuff ever again. Especially if you like Peanuts....been eating this stuff for awhile but figured I'd throw a post up for all the new guys. I go through about a pound a week, eating it with bananas and apples for quick snacks and w/breakfast, and adding some to shakes here and there when I have chocolate flavored whey. Chocolate/P-Butter/Oatmeal shakes are heaven to me, just like a no bake cookie and a good munchie killer. Tempted to get a jar of that protein added Peanut butter but for cost the extra protein isn't really that over the top to make the switch. Has anyone tried that stuff yet? |

| I don't think the extra protein peanut butter is worth it. You can easily get "extra" protein through real foods. Your diet shouldn't hinge on whether your peanut butter has extra protein or not. The regular natural kind will do just fine. Drink a scoop of whey with it if you must get "extra" protein. |

| x2 love the natty stuff, can eat it like its my job |

| I keep several jars of it at work to snack through out the day. It's been a long time since I've had any other kind of PB but about a month ago I tried some Skippy and that had to be the nastiest tasting stuff I have ever had. Natty is the way to go. |

| I prefer the taste of Natty PB. I STILL have not found Almond Butter. We have freaking Apple butter up the wazoo here but no Almond Butter. BTW, I do NOT like Apple butter. Tastes like ass to me. |

Saw the Almond Butter at the store the other day, was tempted to try it. But didn't know what it tastes like? Ever heard if its good? Haha, never seen the Apple Butter though....how does an apple turn to butter, or shouldn't I ask!!! |

I agree X, switching back to the regular stuff I have no idea how I used to eat it. I guess it still tastes good, but like a candy taste and is way too sugary for me now. But all I used to eat was JIF never tried Skippy. I sure as hell can't eat it by itself like I can the natural stuff, hell if I'm hungry enough at work and can't find anything I can grab a spoon and carton of milk and go to town if I have to!!! |

| Posted by: ShakesAllDay Apr 9 2008, 01:26 PM |
| I keep multiple jars on hand at home, and at least one jar up at the office. Fuckin' shower in that shit. |
| Posted by: willpiazza31 Apr 9 2008, 02:19 PM |
| Almond butter is awesome. I can't buy it anymore though. Too easy to eat the whole fucking jar in one sitting. Bathe in that shit!!! |

| I love the natty stuff. Fukkin shower in that shit! They have some protien enhanced PB at my local HF store. Only problem is it's like $9.99 for 16 oz and it has like 16g of protien as opposed to the standard 8g. Seems like a waste of $. |

| do you guys refridgerate you natty pb like it says on the container or does it matter...i keep mine refridgerated and it gets hard? |
| Posted by: accent115 Apr 9 2008, 03:37 PM | ||
i leave it in the cabinet, room temp i guess |
| Posted by: willpiazza31 Apr 9 2008, 03:47 PM |
| Word, room temp is best so it remains spreadable. |
| Posted by: cc-10 Apr 9 2008, 03:49 PM |
| alright, good i always left it in the fridge b/c i though since it was natural it will go bad... i saw skippy natural...you think their shit is legit or do they ad stuff and call it natural? |
| Posted by: Jason2459 Apr 9 2008, 03:50 PM |
| I think they say to refrigerate it so the oil doesn't separate again after you mixed it up. |
| Posted by: willpiazza31 Apr 9 2008, 04:20 PM |
| I drink that oil... |
| Posted by: Jayv24 Apr 9 2008, 04:40 PM |
| CC-10 yeah its legit (skippy natural) Its just palm oil....which is thick like hydrogenated. palm is not as "healthy" as other oils but its nontheless "natural" Plus it spreads 20x better than smuckers natural. |
| Posted by: cc-10 Apr 9 2008, 05:24 PM | ||
sweet...ive been buying naturally more....pretty tasty |
| Posted by: BIGPOPPA Apr 9 2008, 07:43 PM |
| agreed. after switching over to eating natty PB I don't even like the kraft shit |
| Posted by: SFW_SFW Apr 9 2008, 09:14 PM | ||
if i dont refrigerate my pb (i get the one from costco) it gets really nasty and oily. if its cole tho its perfect texture |
| Posted by: yeashescool Apr 9 2008, 09:46 PM |
| i keep my pb just in the pantry, room temp |
| Posted by: ShakesAllDay Apr 10 2008, 05:29 AM |
| I fucked up and showered in some natty PB and nutty bars last night. Smothered the bars in the PB and went to town. Fucking. Delicious. |

Yep, tried the "Choosy Mom" transfat shit the other day and can't stand it. Natty forever! Oh, and Almond butter is the SHIT. So good, probably better (and better for you) than PB. If you really want something delicious, I found cashew butter at Kroger! |
| Posted by: Jason2459 Apr 10 2008, 09:24 AM | ||||
Are you F*CKING KIDDING ME? Cashew Butter? I HAVE GOT TO FIND THAT!!! I absolutely LOVE cashews. Like eating candy to me. |
| Posted by: hadi_D Apr 10 2008, 09:38 AM |
| Dude Fuck that!!! If you can find this get it Mo Fo'n Asap! Better then Natty PB! 4grams of carbs, 10grams of protein and 4grams of fiber. It also is used with flaxseed. |
| Posted by: willpiazza31 Apr 10 2008, 10:05 AM |
| Cashew butter? Holy shit. |

| Its good bro, but I also eat Pbutter like Im gettin paid for it. |
| Posted by: cc-10 Apr 10 2008, 01:42 PM | ||
that's my brand of choice |
| Posted by: accent115 Apr 10 2008, 03:03 PM | ||
lol i do that with granola bars |
| Posted by: ftank Apr 10 2008, 03:23 PM |
| I keep my natty butter in the fridge as it tends to lack all of the secondary ingredients to prolong shelf-life. It also keeps the oils from separating. If it's too hard after doing this, try turning your fridge temp down a notch (up in temp) or just try stirring it up a bit before spreading. Natty almond butter is also the shit for a different flavor than your typical peanut variants. It's a bit dryer tasting which is pretty typical for almonds. Local HEB and Super Wal-Mart both carry natty in both peanut and almond variants. And I need to find this deviant cashew butter. Sounds ridiculously tasty. |

| bet you could find cashew butter online somewhere |

Smuckers (Now sold at BJ's in bulk) 3. Teddies Unsalted |

| Posted by: RandyOrton Apr 10 2008, 07:53 PM |
| it is true though, once you try natty ob..you never want to go back to that "other" stuff is it possible to actually not like natty pb? |
| Posted by: cc-10 Apr 10 2008, 08:09 PM | ||

| ate a shit ton of natty pb 2day lovely |
| Posted by: vanthehentai Apr 11 2008, 11:23 PM |
| I'm adding this to the list of things that I owe to BN forum. I bought my first two jars of natty PB today and I'm loving it. I've been a huge PB fan since I started lifting seriously and this is so much better than what I was having. Not as sweet but it has more protein in it and I like the texture better. Hell I was so eager to try it I didn't even mix it all that well and ate it kinda runny with my PB and J sandwich and I still loved it. I'm def going to stir it up a little more next time and maybe refrigerate it. Now I just need to find no sugar added fruit preserves and I'm set. |
| Posted by: RandyOrton Apr 13 2008, 04:02 PM | ||
thats the best when its watery....its impossible to sit there and stir the peanut butter and not eat it while you can smell it |
