While I agree that most people with higher levels of education and/or people who make a living in higher education tend to lean left, I'd disagree with the notion that right-leaning folks wouldn't have a "chance of making it" in academia.

The implication there is that academic institutions discriminate against qualified professors who don't hold liberal political views. It's an assertion that is (unless you can enlighten me) unsubstantiated.

Grading papers differently based on political view and allocating public funding for climate change research are another matter, although still nothing more than alleged. The claim you made earlier was that qualified right-leaning professors don't have the same "chance to make it" at the university level.

Werd and there is ample reason to believe that. Just talk to your local professor.
