I didn't say that the actually have a profound impact on all students. However, they do discourage independent thinking and attempt to indoctrinate the students. Look at JW! It worked on him!

technically what your statistics really say is "A higher percentage of exit poll participants with advanced degrees vote democrat" and not the general population.

besides, there's a plethora of other things you can infer from that chart, which may not necessarily be true.

-Jews and African-Americans are more single-minded in their voting (87% and 89%)

-Democrats have a higher percentage of un/less educated people (64% and 55%)

-Democrats are more likely to vote with what their Union tells them (68%)

-Democrats have a higher percentage of people who did not finish college (51%)

It's true, it's all true. I was never very forward-thinking, left-leaning, progressive, etc till I went to college and started watching MSNBC. Now, all I can think of is "Obama, Obama, Obama" I feel like Zoolander, about to off the Malaysian Prime Minister.

In all honestly it has to have SOME effect. Ive never had a prof that is more right wing than "moderate". What bothers me is all the cuts a prof will take at the right wing in classes that have nothing to do with poly sci/law. Yes, i know GW Bush fucked up, but i dont need my math teacher telling me that.

It seems like most profs either go from left leaning (i.e. JDub) to far left cooks (i.e. supertzar), with more on the latter end. But someone who is right leaning would have very little chance of making it in academia (i.e. group think).
