Hmm they drew 26K for Detroit last week and 25K for the Yankees yesterday.

I just figured they would draw a lot more if not sold out with the Yankees in town.

I was at the last home game ever in Montreal, they drew like 31K that night. I was also at the game a couple days earlier when they drew like 5K.

I'm not sure what the capacity is for Tropicana but they want their new stadium to max out at 34,000.

I guess that's a good idea. They can draw 25K on a good day and it'll look like the place is sold out. That seems to be trend these days. Smaller parks create a bigger demand for seats = more money for someone.

I dunno what to say man. There really should be more people showing up. It's incredibly disheartening for the team to be doing so well and not have people coming out. The players have even been saying that on tv.

I'm doing my part though. I'm getting a new place a lot closer to the stadium so I'll be able to see more games. I've only been to 3 so far this year. Twins are in town 18-21 and I plan to see all those games, plus whatever postseason games I can get tickets to.

Arizona is the same way. The last time they made the playoffs they couldn't even sell out the freaking place.

30 miles is nothing though. That's a 20 minute drive probably so I don't buy the location excuse.

I wish I lived closer to Shea. I'm an hour away with traffic and shit and tolls are a pain in the ass too. If I'm driving I'm down about $30 including parking before going in the stadium.

Some areas just care about baseball (and sports in general) more than others. The Mets and Yanks are always going to have solid attendance because NY is a baseball town.

Having moved to San Diego from New York recently, I can tell you, people don't give half a shit about sports here the way they do back East. If the home team is hot, they'll hop on the wagon, but on a day-to-day basis, no one cares half as much.

Rays saved face tonight and played a very good ballgame. They had a shutout going until the 9th...then gave up 5 runs. All that matters is the W, but a shutout would've been icing on the cake.

Uuuuuggggghhhhh...Rays got swept in Toronto. Now they're in Boston with a 2 1/2 game lead.
