Certain minerals do. Try a bottle of mineral water some time. Very...interesting taste. The Diet Coke flavor masks a lot of it, but if you know what you're "looking for", so to speak, you can catch a bit of it in the aftertaste. Not really bad, though, considering.

I put a shot of 99 Bananas (99 proof banana flavored rum) in mine last night. It was prob the best testing mixed soft drink EVER. It was awesome. I had a total of 3 shots and was feeling dandy...lol.

This thread is so retarded. But I'll put in my 2 cents.The diet coke plus to me does have a terrible taste.Taste like vitamins smell to me.Now give me some DC w/lime or lemon and we're good to go....lol.It is getting harder and harder to find it around here though.

You should work for those smell and testing panels. Or maybe as a bloodhound with those keen senses of yours. I'm not sure how you can smell the vitamins and minerals.
I must have no sense of taste and smell.

That's not too bad. It has an almost fake tasting sweetness to it, but I like it pretty well. I just don't think you can beat the 50/50 mix of diet cherry van/cherry choc. dr. pepper. It's the best combo out there.
