You think Kobe comes east? Wizards style?

Wizards? Whoa...didn't even think about that. All the talk has been about Chicago, but I could see Washington, because they'd be able to send Agent Zero to LAL. I hope he comes to the East, no matter what team. It's tough, cuz I want the Nets to have the smoothest sail possible, but I want the balance of power shifted to the East.

Close game for the Nets last night, solid win. Too bad it took away 75% of the fans at the Devils game. How hockey stays afloat, I have no idea.

Why is Zach Randolph chubby? Why is ANYONE in the League chubby? That pisses me off more than anything. You get paid millions of dollars for a profession that depends on your body. I'd be personally insulted if I were an owner/GM/etc if my guys weren't in tip-top shape.

Richard Jefferson is a BEAST right now, dropping 26ppg and shooting 98% from the line. cool.gif

Kenyon Martin is one of my favortie Nets of all time...miss him. That team with him, Kidd, Jefferson, Carter and Kittles...sick. They ran and passed like nothing I've ever seen.

KMart dunk the ball like he's angry... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4vjZGyGPxo

Out of 82 games, if VC and RJeff missed 8 games a piece....it wouldn't be great, but I'd be able to deal with it...could be worse. As for Kidd and his knee...I've been worried about that for 2 years. However, last year he alleviated my concern by AVERAGING A TRIPLE DOUBLE in the playoffs (you're a Raptors fan, you remember that wink.gif ) and by playing so damn well in the Olympic qualifiers. He's the man, plain and simple.

4-1 start for the nets aint bad

but chicago is 1-4
beginning of the season usually means nothing
but ALOT of entertaining games

i truly think that after being stuck watching baseball (zzzzzzzzzzzzzz) all summer
that these bball and even nhl games are SOO much more exciting
i didn't know what i was missing all summer

and now its back and biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Word AK....first 5 games isn't going to mean the world, but it's a tone-setter and I'd rather be 4-1 than 1-4 so I'll take it. As for baseball...that's my shit, love me some baseball, but I'm happy it's basketball season. Haven't been watching enough the past couple years and now I'm getting back into it.

Check out the SICK kmart link in my sig.

I think the raps will be second or third in the east this year. although it was a playoff series to late it was great watching the raps rape the nets the other night. boston is looking like they are playing really well together which is bad news for the teams who share the division with them.

the entire thing with boston wasn't really if they would dominate the east (which they will to some degree)
it is whether they can stay away from a key injury, and if depth (or lack of) will be able to take them thru 82 games + any playoff games

I don't see them topping the east
but that is because I am a raps fan (biast)

they pretty much rely on each guy of the big 3 to score 20 points per game (60 points total)
then off the bench they only have one guy who can constantly pop in 8-10ppg
their other 2 starters are only averaging smthin like 13 points between them

altho right now, all healthy, it is not a problem
once a key (or even not so key) injury occurs, they have nobody who can step up

New Jersey Nets' Vince Carter is helped off the court by Jason Collins, left, and Malik Allen, right, after Carter sprained his right ankle in the third quarter against the Boston Celtics during NBA basketball action Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, in East Rutherford, N.J.

Balls....I've got VC on my fantasy team too. mad.gif

Friggin Celts are lookin like a juggernaut. Looks like those 3 guys are having NO trouble playing together. The Easter Conference should be very afraid.

ya chicago is REALLY below expectations this season

the way I see it is that Chicago last year finished 3rd or 4th, anyways they were a top 4 team in the east, SUPER young and super talented, and were highly expected to improve and contest for top spot of the east this year

then all the rumors started saying Kobe is going to be traded to Chicago
the players probably feel like their worth $1 and feel betrayed
since they had so much up side then the talk of Kobe comes along and all of their names are on the trading block

I would be a little peeved to, the team is doing fantastic, then suddenly I might get traded away for some jordan wannabe
