NBA starts tomorrow!

I know lots of you guys aren't as into basketball, but I'm a bigtime Nets fan. I think we'll be decent this year, 2nd place in the Atlantic and 6th or 7th in the Eastern Conference if everyone stays healthy.

Like the Atlantic is that tough! I am a Knicks fan and Robinson looks SICK. Zach needs to run some suicides though. Yes I know your Nets beat us Firday. Truthfully both teams are quite boring. Nets squeaking by, Knicks trying to figure it out. Boston is fun to watch these days, and I am all about NCAA in March

No, it's not, but the Celtics are gonna be really strong, the Raptors will continue to improve and the Knicks picked up a soft 6' 11" guy to go along with their other soft 6' 11" guy...so maybe that'll pan out too.

Atlantic isn't really that tough, but neither are the Nets, so I'll take what I can get!

Here's to Nenad Kristic and Richard Jefferson staying healthy and the Nets winning 50+ games.

Raptors are doing well. Would love to see Kobe shoved somewhere in the east. Knicks do have a lot of padding down low in the paint for sure. Hurts to see them drenched in sweat not even halfway through the 1 st qtr. The Nets to me are like the Yankees, great team, great players, get them to the big games and they just don't seem to care as much.

Word! I used to play and follow basketball a LOT in middle and high school, but really stopped playing and watching when I got to college.

But I'm looking forward to this season and getting back into it.

I think a lot of that rep is b/c of Vinsanity. He's great for highlights and for getting you 20pts and 5 or 6 reb per game, but not exactly the "tough as nails" type. I would never question JKidd's heart or desire to win though. Being able to watch him play has made all the crappy years I spent as a Nets fan worth it.

For what it's worth, here's the fantasy basketball team I drafted last night

Niagara Balls (Josh, I stole the name from you...it was too good not to)

Dirk Nowitski
Tim Duncan
Vince Carter
Carlos Boozer
Joe Johnson
Kevin Durant
LaMarcus Aldridge
Lamar Odom
David West
Monta Ellis
Richard Jefferson
Stephen Jackson
Marvin Williams
Nenad Krstic

(in the order I drafted them)

I'm pumped...Niagara Balls is gonna be awesome.

I am a big Vinsanity fan, he played tough last year. Can't beat his 10 3pt game or what ever that was. Kid just keeps missing his calling, sick player controls the floor so well. Put it together, you know. I mean they're a smart group and play well. The knicks on the other hand have great talent but play ghetto ball

What do you mean when you say that Kidd "keeps missing his calling"? His calling is to distribute basketballs to folks in a position to score em...IMO. Probably coulda been a good QB too if he could throw a tight spiral.

this is not the same Vince Carter that plays in the NBA on the Nets?
if so I do not know what your talking about
Vince carter is cancer in a locker room which is why his teams never produce

i will take mostly any bet that says Carter will not win a championship in his lifetime

I know he usually opts for the path of least resistance on the court...settles for jumpers, etc...but I don't think he's that much of a douchebag or "locker-room cancer". He seems pretty affable in the interviews I've seen and seems to get along with his teammates...with Kidd and Jefferson anyway.

Not in the sense that you're taking it, sorry. I mean is he deserves an NBA title. He keeps missing his calling, by just that. I do think he should of taken the job with San Antonio. I was at dinner at the post house and who's at the next table over but Kidd and Popovich. I guess Kidd don't like no steak

I remember the "Kidd for Parker" rumors. Woulda been good for Kidd...there's no way he wouldn't have won at least 1 ring on that team. As a Net fan though, I was super-relieved that he stayed. Just watching that guy on TV has made me a better team player.

Kidd on the SPURS forget about it, 3 rings easy. By the way when u move out west, it's the Mecca for sport watching. You get better basketball games too, ugh

Taking a 2 game parlay tonight boys, wish me luck.

San Antonio (-6) @ Memphis

And the OVER (186) in the Dallas @ Cleveland game.

Risking $20 to win $52.
