recently my bones in my forearms have started to really hurt every time i try to work out my bi's, its really annoying because im stuck for most exercises for them, ez bar curls hammer curls ect ect, and can not increase the weight.
my muscles seem to be able to handle it, but my bones in my forearms kill.
is there anything i can do to help my situation? or even better prevent it completly? are there any sort of supplements out there that could help me out? or am i fucked???
any help will be greatly appreciated as this is really getting to me because i feel like i can't progress....... sad.gif

if its the actual bone and not the muscle then i woudl talk to a doctor about it cuz theres probably not anything we can say to help...maybe just take a few days off or w.e and see if its still like that...do u think u have a bruised forearm bone or something?

i had the same problem a little while back when doing ez preacher curls. i cut them out of my routine and stuck to db curls, machine curls, bb curls and havent had a problem since. ive heard other people complain of the same problem when doing ez bar curls. so my suggestion is to take some time off from training your bi's. the pain will eventually go away. then limit your exercises to whatever doesnt hurt it. it most likely will be the ez bar curls.

i dont think i need to take any time off from lifiting because they only hurt when im actually working out, when i've finished they feel the same as always....
i think that my muscles have actually become stronger than my bones (in my arms only)

yeah man when i was doin the ez bar curls every other exercise hurt as well but i pinpointed the problem down to the ez curls. i dont know what it is but it might have somethin to do with the angle your forearms are at when ez curling. like i said i just stopped trainin bis until the pain went away which was like less than a week i think. then did everything but the ez curl bullshit and havent had a problem since. then recently, about a week ago i though id give the ez's another chance and as soon as i did them the pain came back and i said fuck this and stopped after the first set. so cut them out and let me know how your forearms are feelin in a week tongue.gif

Yes I did when I first started lifting. Eventually it went away as I got stronger.

I also suffer wrist pains. Its called carpal tunnel. It hurts like a bitch when you're lifting something and your wrist has pressure applied to it (ie. reverse curls, vertical rows, straight BB curls). For the most part I just deal with the pain until I just can't hold on to the bar any more. Fortunately this doesn't affect any lifts where I might drop heavy ass weight on me.

Does it feel like shin splints in your forearms? I had those for a while. I don't think the bones hurt, I believe it is the muscles and connective tissues, being pulled away from the bones. I used to get them horrible when I did preacher curls or the ez-bar curls. I know hold the ez-bar in a different location and I use standing dumbells and they seem to have cleared up. Basically you don't want to let your hands/wrists end up in an unnaturual position at any time during the lift. Don't curl your wrists up so tight and don't let them hand so loose either......hope that makes sense.

A lot of people can relate to this problem. I myself have had it aswell. For me it is mostly from EZ like every says, cause the curving of the wrists puts strain on your forearm muscle. But I took a week off, the pain didnt totally go away but now its tolerable. Cause before it kept me from finishing. Try to take some time off of EZ or stay away from them, amd maybe take an ibeprophen/aspirin before your workout, that helped also.

Who the shit are you to come in here out of the friggin blue and start giving out advice to members of this forum?? Do you even have any god damned credentials? How do we know? You could be some str8 fucktard with know expertise whatsoever for all anyone knows, and I suspect that's probably the case. So, do yourself and us all a big fuckin favor and read, research, familiarize yourself with the board and its members before coming in here out of fucking nowhere and throwing around useless dumbfuck advice. Got it??

Thanks in advance cocklick!

I dont feel like arguing cause I can see you think Im some "fucktard" I believe it was. And you probably think that because of the 1 post and the date. Im not gonna say Im an expert of any kind, but I am quite familiar with the board. I made this account due to I forgot my other password/email. But I check the forums daily and read just about every new thread. It's not like I dont know anything at all. I was just relaying information I recieved for the same problem from these exact forums. I made a post a while back asking what to do,and thats what people with "credentials" said to me. And it helped so I just thought it might help him also. Im not trying to anger anyone, but I felt like maybe I could lend some advice that helped me out in the same situation.
But sorry if what what helped me out isnt good enough for other people with a similar problem.
