| gonna go SFW today, hope to see some strength increases over last week, im just about pumped to get into the gym, but gotta wait till at least 3 o clock when the gym opens school starts tommorow so imma use the weight room there for chest day, today is purely back, biceps and forearms. |

| Yeah buddy, the big guy getting bigger, haha! No cutting for you huh? VERY nice work!! Keep it up. Casein is a better meal replacement as it stays with you longer. If trying to keep cost down, just mix a scoop of 100% casein powder with a scoop of whey. Don't forget your essential fatty acids. Buy some flax oil or better yet Udo's Oil by Flora and add it to your shakes. If things go well for me with my gains in the next 1-2 months, you'll be seeing me in NYC in mid-September on stage! |
| Posted by: opfor101 Apr 10 2007, 05:26 PM | ||
NYC? awesome haha i have no doubt you'll make it never expected you had NYC in mind. if you make it, then ill be there you just gotta tell me where the show is gonna be ill definitely buy some casein tommorow, i think its quite cost efficient since ill only have to use whey post workout. and yeah im just too small to cut down, gotta hit 200's first |

| planning to add 2 days of cardio each week, 20-25 minute jogs each according to rich, it makes you more efficient at lifting, and many others seem to validate that statement when i asked around at usp labs forums they said that it makes the body more efficient at utlizing calories |

i may think about adding power butter along with casien to my diet, power butter seems pretty cool. |

| im finally close to 180 now FINALLY the only time i hit 180 is when after i ate. lets hope its during the mornings. |
| Posted by: rich_55 Apr 19 2007, 12:40 PM |
| Congrats on your great gains and winning the bulkfest contest! Keep eating up and training hard and the gains will keep coming. Power butter is pretty good stuff and I like using it when I'm in a pinch. I will probably pick some up for when I go on vacation next month. I bring a few slices of wheat bread and whole fruit jelly for snacks. You need to be sure to hit your back from all angles. I always begin my back days with deadlifts and then include some type of pullups/pulldowns for width and bent-over rows for middle back thickness. I will then throw in a fourth move to further blast the back as its so large of an area. I also make sure to include one type of isolateral move whether dumbbell, one-arm cable or hammer strength to isolate one side at a time. Keep that back growing! You'll need your wings for when you hit the stage |
| Posted by: opfor101 Apr 24 2007, 10:41 PM |
| ahhh i havent posted on for a while. did some back work and bicep yesterday i actually added bent over rows to my back workouts. i did pull ups first 7 reps 2 sets then i did lat pull downs 160 lbs for 6 reps 3 sets after that was bent over rows 165 lbs 6 reps 3 sets then came the shrugs 285 lbs (it was the front) 7 reps and then i did alternating dubmells curls for 50 lkbs 8 reps 2 sets this is my second day on my new Anabolic Pump cycle and i already feel fuller and more energy in the gym. if it lasts this whole week then ill know its not just the placebo effect. |

| Posted by: Succio Apr 25 2007, 12:50 PM | ||||
wtf are you talkin about, you're the one being racist. He simply looks like him, not because of his race. |
| Posted by: KAILSD Apr 26 2007, 12:14 AM |
| type rob your like one of those black people who thinks everyones against them and that "we're" trying to bring you down but in all honosty your the most racist of them all. |
| Posted by: typeRob Apr 26 2007, 01:51 AM | ||
no im really not at all. why compare opfor to a mass murderer? i dont think its relevant to the topic. this is his journal. no need for you to throw in your retarded joke. and then to call me racist but you dont even know me. i didnt call you racist, i simply said your comment was. im sure opfor doesnt appreciate people comparing him to cho seung-hui. and honestly i dont think he looks like him at all so i dont know wtf your talkin about kdkdk, i guess you were just tryin to stand up for your buddy KAILSD because u got a chuckle out of it. whatever im not tryin to start an e-fight. grow up guys |
| Posted by: KAILSD Apr 26 2007, 09:26 AM |
| grow up? |
| Posted by: Succio Apr 26 2007, 11:26 AM | ||||
the only thing we're comparing is his face. he looks like him. get over it. i really doubt opfor is upset and he shouldnt be anyways. |
| Posted by: typeRob Apr 26 2007, 01:41 PM | ||
well why dont you let him speak for himself instead of assuming things and jumping to conclusions? like i said im not tryin to e-fight but it seems like you guys always gotta have the last word. this is a bbing forum if you guys havent forgot? a good place to learn from one another. bringing your ego on this forum is about as bad as bringin it to the weightroom. just chill with the hostility and get back on topic. nothing else to say..... |

well if u call that a joke then wow. really great sense of humor goin on around here... |
| Posted by: Jason2459 Apr 26 2007, 03:13 PM |

| damn i almost threw up my oats with milk just now put some honey in it to improve taste and i ended up pouring waay more than i thought and it was waaaaay too sweet. i currently put another cup of oats after i ate the first one to get a milder taste from the sweetened milk. well it forced me to eat more carbs, i guess that was a good thing. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Apr 29 2007, 03:03 PM |
| uggh i gotta up my calories again to see some increase in weight. im currently stuck at 177 lbs..... its weird tho since every scale besdies mine says im 183 lbs. im not seeing strength gains that i was expecting but i guess thats cuz im only 1 week in. |
| Posted by: typeRob Apr 29 2007, 07:44 PM | ||
dude try blending your cooked oatmeal in with your protein shakes, possibly even add in some strawberries or a banana. i tried it today for breakfast and its ALOT easier to eat. its actually pretty good and i didnt even add milk, i just used water. plus it doesnt take forever to eat cause all youre doin is drinkin it. you can also try alternating oats with grits. i personally like grits better. try mixing grits with egg whites like how ronnie does, thats pretty good too. oh and good luck hitting your goals |

| Posted by: opfor101 May 5 2007, 08:56 PM |
| ummmmmm 3 inch ROM's, they tend to work out my legs ALOT more. JK |
| Posted by: opfor101 May 6 2007, 12:27 PM |
| aww man, my legs hurt like a bitch today. i have a hard time getting up from my seat without having some bad aches. what a great workout yesterday was. i was actually surprised to see the new PR's since my eating habits been crappy the whole week. |
| Posted by: Sockfilter May 6 2007, 12:40 PM |
| Word of advice, dont let any shits sneak up on ya.. I was in the same boat a few months back, day after legs I was a hurting MoFo, couldnt move around very good, well my damn morning coffee hit me really hard and I had to shit right then, not 5 mins from then. Talk about a sight, damn legs killing me and I couldnt run to the bathroom fast enough.. I can laugh about it now... |
| Posted by: opfor101 May 6 2007, 01:27 PM | ||
so you shit your pants?! well hopefully i wont have any of the same experience. i wouldnt really mind the ruined boxers, only that itll hurt my ego ALOT. |
| Posted by: Sockfilter May 6 2007, 01:55 PM |
| Nope I didnt shit my pants, but I was damn close. It was just the whole process of me trying to get to the toilet as fast as I could and my damn legs would not work to get me there fast enough. I looked like a pari-palegic (sp?) trying to run the 100m. |
| Posted by: opfor101 May 6 2007, 02:48 PM |
| haha what a close call. i hate it when you gotta go take a piss right away but then you have a belt on that seems to be stuck when your right next to the toilet. |

Dirty Bulk is the way to go for strength. Just eat anything available when ever available. |
| Posted by: opfor101 May 6 2007, 08:12 PM |
| i guess theres one good side to dirty bulking i hate when i hit a small plataeu at a certain weight and it takes a while before i skyrocket again in weight. |
| Posted by: opfor101 May 7 2007, 06:33 PM |
| great back day today despite having ZERO sleep. pull ups-5 repsx 3 sets lat pull downs- 170 lbs 5 reps 2 sets barbell rows- 175 lbs 5 reps 3 sets dumbell curls- 50 lbs 8 reps 2 sets reverse curls- 70- lbs 8 reps 2 sets wrist rollers. |
| Posted by: MoVin_Weight May 7 2007, 10:16 PM | ||
nice! some good #'s bro depending on what your form looks like... how tall are you? thats basically what i squat (but squats are my worst lift due to my long ass fuckin legs) |
| Posted by: opfor101 May 8 2007, 06:18 AM | ||||
yeah my form was great, i was real surprised that i can pull that much. even my pull ups were much more controlled than other back days. it was weird. im 5' 8" |
| Posted by: opfor101 May 10 2007, 06:00 AM |
| somethings wrong with me these days. im like super tired these days im always trying to sleep early and even with like 8 hours sleep im tired as fuck later in the evening. i slept at 10 today and woke up at 7 |
| Posted by: MoVin_Weight May 10 2007, 09:15 AM |
| yeah i know what you mean, you could be overtraining or just stressed out |
| Posted by: typeRob May 10 2007, 10:42 AM | ||
how often are you hittin the gym and how often are you hittin each muscle? are you takin any naps through out the day? are you taking any multivitamins? there are several different possibilites as to why your always tired. your body is obviously trying to tell you something, not sure what. maybe you just need a day or two off from the gym completely? figure out what the problem is and learn from it. good luck! |
| Posted by: opfor101 May 10 2007, 03:19 PM |
| ive been actually off from the gym for a couple days, and i only do 2-3 exercises per muscle group. |
| Posted by: rich_55 May 11 2007, 08:39 AM |
| I often find that I am more tired when going through a growth spurt. My body needs more sleep as it repairs muscle tissue and grows. Nice work on those legs man! Your physique starts from the ground up. Keep doing it right big guy. Oh, and I have never been a fan of dirty bulking. You can end up looking like a fat powerlifter instead of a bodybuilder. |
| Posted by: Jason2459 May 11 2007, 08:43 AM | ||
HEY, I resemble that... I mean I resent that!! I would never had thought about a dirty bulk and wouldn't recommend it either if you're going for looks. But, going for strength and power I wouldn't hessitate to recommend it. |
| Posted by: typeRob May 11 2007, 12:15 PM |
| my first bulk started off clean then i just kinda got outta control and started eating alot of dirty shit. it was the only way i could cram all the calories in each day and stay sane. i did put on alot of fat which im workin to get off now but i had good muscle gains as well. if you can force feed yourself only clean foods while bulking then more power to you. if not just stick with the dirty bulk and look forward to all the fat your gonna be burnin when you start cutting! |
| Posted by: opfor101 May 12 2007, 11:24 PM |
| man im hit with the stomach virus. ive been having pooping diarhea 5 times a day for the past 3 days. Hurts likea bitch. i cant wait for this to go away. |
| Posted by: opfor101 May 16 2007, 06:45 AM |
| hahaa damn stomach virus had nothing on me, im back 100 percent and surprisingly i had no major strength losses after having the stomach virus back day was a pretty normal day, everything just felt heavier. today is my chest day so im hoping for a good workout. |

| You are taking/took anabolic pump right? How did you like it....just got a bottle in the mail today |
| Posted by: opfor101 May 23 2007, 03:25 PM |
| when you eat alot of carbs throughout the day with anabolic pump, it feels soo good, like your muscles are friggin swollen 24/7 if you dont eat enough, you dont feel anything from it |
| Posted by: Pain4Gain May 23 2007, 08:30 PM |
| haha i can't wait...i eat about 4,000 clean cals a day so it should be fun |
| Posted by: opfor101 May 30 2007, 10:22 PM |
| my legs are absolutely blasted today, had to literally limp out of the gym to go home. trying to get up to wipe my ass when im using the bathroom is friggin hard (cant lift myself up with my legs) new pr's squated 315 for 4 reps 3 sets then deadlifted 315 lbs 3 sets 5x4x4 reps respectively i love the new pr's on an every other or so week basis i need to workon developing the teardrops though, i absolutely do not wanna hit the stage with anything short of a leg with huge teardrops and looking like a thick slab of beef |
| Posted by: opfor101 Jun 2 2007, 08:38 AM |
| having the cold sucks ass, especially in this 90 degree weather. my incline bench went down by 30 lbs!!! from 185 down to 155, not to mention my gyms air conditioning broke so we were lifting in the heat. im like coughing and sniffling like every other minute, i feel pathetic |
| Posted by: opfor101 Jun 3 2007, 04:10 PM |
| just a lil picture of my quads (the rest is washed out) http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/8992/p6030900ji3.jpg heres a more clear shot of my upper body. gonna get a good shot of my back in a lil while http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/2045/p6030893hu5.jpg one thing i notice is that my delts are being overpowered by my biceps and i gotta work on bringing them up a bit, my lats still need work on the width and my chest needs to come up in size a bit, my traps seem to be developing pretty well my strength has gone up by about 20+ lbs on most of my major lifts since the ending of bulkfest, especially the squats and deadlifts however my bench seems to be lagging behind a bit (especially since i just got into free benchpressing from the dumbell presses i was doing since the duration of the bulkfest |
| Posted by: opfor101 Jun 5 2007, 09:33 PM |
| this was mondays workout (back) i absolutely blasted it, doing pull ups and dumbell rows, which i threw in a lat pull down to further hit my lats, im really trying to blast it as much as i can to further stimulate its growth, again my diet isnt 100 percent yet so growth will be slow for the meanwhile. i MAY incorporate supersets into the workout since ive been hearing many positive effects of supersetting and growth. but for now i cant STAND eating oats at the moment since i gotta microwave it and its a hot food during the heat which i DO NOT look foward to but i posted a diet on Riches log and ill be eating more broccoli from now on. Ill regularly eat apples and bananas too. (i have to add fruits and veggies into the diet) im going to have to replace the milk with water in the protein shakes because of the high lactose which causes excessive fat gains but not quite sure how to make up for the calories lost by cutting down on the milk. |
| Posted by: OmniRed Jun 6 2007, 12:01 AM |
| What is your weight at now? Looking good man, pretty solid. Keep it up! |
| Posted by: opfor101 Jun 6 2007, 06:30 AM | ||
right now im starting to bounce back into 175 but it goes up to 180 on certain days (all morning weight) once i get my diet on track im planning to hit 190 in about 2 months or so |
| Posted by: opfor101 Jun 7 2007, 11:52 AM |
| just had two salmon steaks and a protein shake, about to eat oats now, the thing is im hungry but never in the mood to eat foods for my bulk. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Jun 7 2007, 08:14 PM |
| uggh horrible chest day, lifts all went down tried incline bench 165 lbs 5 reps 1st set then 3 the 2nd my incline SUCKS ass and this will be another lift i have to build up then i hit flat dumbell presses and this went down to about 80 lbs 3 reps 2 sets which SUCKED ASS did 100 lb military shoulder presses for 8 reps 2 sets then went on to upright rows 100 lbs 7 reps 3 sets lateral raises were done at 30 lbs 10 reps 3 sets and then i did rear shoulder raises at 30 lbs 10 reps 2 sets CRApp ass workout, but i just got back on the diet been farting alot during the workout, forgot all about the protein farts |
| Posted by: opfor101 Jun 10 2007, 07:22 PM |
| oh man, because of a day called "roosevelt island day" the gym was closed and couldnt hit my legs i was lookin foward to hitting about 7-8 solid reps on 315 lb squat. anyway im gonna hit the gym, backwork since i wont have access to a squat rack tommorow. im really eager to bring up my weak points (delts, lats, chest) up to proportion with the rest of my body. it seems that the only place that really grows for me is just the legs. but i cant complain since i havent hit those body parts as much as i shold have, and dumbell work for my chest doesnt seem to really stimulate growth as much as a barbell. im happy ive gotten my diet on track again, my appetite is starting to kick in again. |
| Posted by: OmniRed Jun 11 2007, 02:41 PM |

| just had my post-post workout meal 100+ g of carbs from rice i ate my bro's bowl of rice as well. my lats and tri's are ABSOLUTELY blasted, and dont think my forearms escaped the cruel punishment did 3 sets of pull ups for around 4-7 reps then i did, closegrip pull ups for around 3-4 reps 2 sets then i did lat pull downs for 150 lbs 5 reps 2 sets afterwards was a barbell row for 165 lb 7 reps 3 sets. close grip tricep pulldowns were done at 90 lbs 6 reps 2 sets and then the overhead extensions 30 lbs 8 reps 3 sets shrugs for 335 lbsx 10 reps 3 reps (behind the back) 285 lbs were used for the front same repititions afterwards i did forearm curls 95 lbs 6 reps 3 sets my lats were hit hard especially after realizing that it was one of the major muscle groups lagging behind. |
| Posted by: typeRob Jun 11 2007, 08:41 PM |
| good shit bro. may i ask whats with the lower rep range? are you trying to go for more strength? when trying to bulk up i usually stick to the 8-12 range, plus i get a better pump that way. sometimes ill go down to like 6 reps on the last set if i dont lower the weight. oh and about your farting. i just switched my diet up to a somewhat bulk. tapering my calories up so ill be at atleast 4,000 a day by next monday. and i guess my body isnt used to the huge increase in food, i been farting all day non stop. its crazy i was at the chiro today gettin adjusted and getting a massage by this milf and i had to hold it in it hurt so bad! anyways, keep up the hard work! |

| Posted by: MoVin_Weight Jun 28 2007, 11:49 AM |
| i noticed i bulk better at a higher weight lower rep range as well, and then when i'm trying to refine the muscle i increase the reps... jus watch them joints! i'm sittin on a rotator cuff injury right now which is keepin me from flat benching much over 200lbs but i switched to incline and thats not botherin me |
| Posted by: JW32Hoops Jun 28 2007, 11:58 AM | ||
Word, same thing happened here and it SUCKS. Fucking rotator cuff or shoulder impingment or whatever it is, can't bench, can't do certain shoulder lifts. Incline is OK and DB's arent as bad, but Fucking-A I wanna BENCH! |
| Posted by: typeRob Jun 28 2007, 04:31 PM | ||||
i hear ya guys. my shoulder has been tweaked for like the past month or so. no flat bb benching. i have no problem on the incline. no problem with any shoulder workout, not even military press. although im getting better since i started taking cissus, now im able to flat db bench with little to no pain. i think i will try some bb benching next time chest day comes around. |

| hmmm ive noticed a bit of improvement when i switched things up to 8-12 reps. and this has only been one or two weeks, im going to give this a while and ocasionally switch up to 4-6 reps, my delts have been giving me the green light that 8-12 reps actually works better. 2 months of bulk and then a slight cut during the september period to prevent having too much bodyfat. as rich stated, we gotta look like bodybuilders not powerlifters. although im weak as hell to be a powerlifter anyway. im trying to lay out my goals as of now short term - bench 315lbs 1 rep max <-hopefully by the end of this year deadlift 375 lbs 1 rep max<- hopefully by the end of this year squat 375 lb 1 rep max 200 lbs at around 13-14 percent bodyfat now this is also after my slight cut at the or near the end of the summer i hope i can have more size on delts and lats to improve proportions and look like a beast max ot worked extremely well for me however the delts and lats were quite understimulated due to the fact that not enough exercises were used for these muscle groups. i will be focusing alot on these muscle groups in particular and also watching for asymmetry (its pretty much all over my body, asymmertical pecs, lats, legs) long term- hopefully bench 355 1 rep max by the end of school year(hopefully better) squat 400+ deadlift 400+ be around 200 lbs at 7 percent bodyfat. at 5'7.5" im sure 200 lbs lean is going to look pretty darn nice, hopefully itll be by the end of senior year but if not, its only another motivation to eat better and lift harder. Eat to grow |

| about to go hit the gym today, goddamn i woke up soo fucking late. i woke up at like 12 and only managed to get in 2 cups of oats, and i ran outta protein shakes so i gotta buy it or steal it |
| Posted by: opfor101 Jul 10 2007, 07:02 AM |
| adding some things to my diet, since jason was strongly advocating the use of real gains, im going to buy it (seeing how it has very little sugar i thought that was a good thing too) i stayed up till 2 last night thinking about different ways i can fix my diet around the wrok schedule i had, i didnt wanna say i eat it because im busy with work. eating 2-3 hours,and i made sure i get at least 25 g protein in each meal. so this is what it came down to on regular days (no work) 4200 Calories 302 g fat<-about...... 2726 calories from fat 360 g Carbs<- about..... 1440 calories from protein 266 g protein<- about .......1034 calories from protein yikes about the fat but im guessing most of it is coming from real gains addition to my diet. im having 2 servings of it a day. on work days im having 4180 Calories oh and vegetables are definitely in there, mostly greens. |

Fat is good!! It really is. All about balance. There is a lot of fat listed there though. There's really not all that much fat in Real Gains and the fat that is in there is from the Flax and MCT. Which is all good fat and only amounts to 6g for a 3.5 scoop (155g) serving. How much Real Gains are you taking in those two servings? Good amount of calories though. Keep that up. |
| Posted by: rich_55 Jul 11 2007, 09:26 AM | ||
Increasing your fat a bit to support healthy hormone levels and get additional calories is great, but there is a point when it will simply do more harm than good. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Jul 11 2007, 04:54 PM |
| hmmm i was wondering if i did it correctly but i was estimating all the calories from my food,,, hold on. i was also kinda skeptical about the fat intake. hmmm ill post a diet now 6:30 i wake up 6:35 2 cups oats and 1/2 serving real gains 9:00 1 cup rice w/ 1 can of tuna 12:00 real gains 1 serving 2:00 1 cup rice with sidedishes (veggies) 4:30 1/2 serving real gains 6:00 post workout shake (carbo power, isopure, dextrose) 7:00 half a chicken or turkey on a roll 9:00 1 cup rice with veggies 11:00 2 scoop casien |
| Posted by: rich_55 Jul 11 2007, 08:51 PM |
| Actually, your diet looks relatively low in fat from what you posted and could probably use a boost of some good fats. |
| Posted by: typeRob Jul 11 2007, 09:54 PM |
| hows the real gains taste? what flavor do you got? i just ordered the chocolate flavor. and how many servings does it say on the tub? |
| Posted by: opfor101 Jul 11 2007, 09:59 PM | ||
yeah im gonna add flax to my diet. besides that does everything else look ok? thanks for the reply Rich. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Jul 11 2007, 10:01 PM | ||
well from what i've heard its good, but naw i still didnt get it yet, should be coming here tommorow. ill let you know how it tastes. other than that they dont tell you how many servings in a tub but i just did some math and i got about 20 days worth of servings if you only drink 1 serving a day |
| Posted by: opfor101 Jul 12 2007, 08:45 PM |
| just got real gains today, tastes pretty OK with water, nothing disgusting, more on the tasty side (similar to how ON whey tastes with water) im guessing it tastes much better with milk. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Jul 20 2007, 06:32 PM |
| omg, i had an INSANE strength increase, did lateral raises 40 lbs 15 reps and since i felt i was good to move on so i did 50 lbs 15 reps and after 2 minutes rest i did 70 lbs 8 reps i DO NOT know where that strength came from. then i did front raises 30 lbs 12 reps 2 sets and then did 50 lb dumbell presses (military) for 8 reps 2 sets skull crushers were also done for 10 reps at 115 lbs 3 sets |
| Posted by: typeRob Jul 20 2007, 06:54 PM |
| how are your lateral raises so strong and yet your db military presses are weak? mines the other way around. wierd... |
| Posted by: Regulator Jul 20 2007, 07:13 PM |
| yeah my MP is double my lateral raises |
| Posted by: opfor101 Jul 20 2007, 07:53 PM |
| yeah my front delts are freakin fighting to grow. ive been stuck at doing 50 lb dumbell military presses for months |
| Posted by: tree33 Jul 20 2007, 08:00 PM | ||
How many sets and reps are you getting with the 50s? |
| Posted by: typeRob Jul 20 2007, 08:56 PM |
| wait a minute op, did you say you do 70lbs total for lateral raises(35s in each hand)? or did you mean 70s in each hand. 70s in each hand sounds unrealistic...... im not even sure if ronnie does that much or maybe you meant on a cable machine? |
| Posted by: opfor101 Jul 20 2007, 09:06 PM |
| 70 lb dumbell |
| Posted by: tree33 Jul 20 2007, 09:14 PM | ||
|
| Posted by: opfor101 Jul 20 2007, 09:15 PM | ||||
whats so funny? i did it well i guess it was easier since i did it one arm at a time rather then doing both arms simultaneously |

|
| Posted by: tree33 Jul 20 2007, 09:18 PM |
| Maybe I beleive you, but I can imagine you also doing AAAALLLLLOOOOOTTTTT of swinging. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Jul 20 2007, 09:23 PM |
| ummm, it was close to proper form, my negatives sucked ass but i didnt swing em up. Edit: i thought you guys already can do 70 lbs lateral raises, why are you trying to call BS on this? it was a good lift. |
| Posted by: accent115 Jul 20 2007, 09:23 PM |
| i think my elbow would break |
| Posted by: typeRob Jul 20 2007, 09:27 PM |
| like i said. 70s are in ronnie's league. i dont even know if he can do 70s. the most ive seen him do was 50s. so are you saying you are as strong if not stronger than ronnie coleman?? |
| Posted by: opfor101 Jul 20 2007, 09:29 PM |
| wtf? so your saying after 1 year of training people can do around 50's to 60's lbs lateral raises and they stay stuck at that point? so for the 2nd year and then on they always do 50's or 60's 15 or 10 reps? wtf thats not possible. i just did 50 lbs 15 reps and then moved onto 70's for 8 reps whats so unbelievable about that? there are TONS of people who can bicep curl or lift what ronnie does being less than half their size. |
| Posted by: MoVin_Weight Jul 20 2007, 09:36 PM |
| ouch bro that sounds painful! I do 40's... 45's max! and my military press is 95lb dumbells x 6-8 |
| Posted by: opfor101 Jul 25 2007, 06:57 PM |
| gonna go SFW now, but no legs today, i havent hit much in a week or two for legs and that means im going to have some serious DOMs on my legs seeing how im going to go to denver to camp with the cousins and the dad i dont wanna go limping on a hike. practically in the woods for 3 days so my legs gotta wait for monday when i come back. i reeeaallly wanted to hit legs today, im actually in the mood for some squats and Stiff legged deads. | gonna go SFW today, chest day today. one thing REALLY bugging me out is how my left lat is MUCh bigger than my right lat (both thickness and width) on a rear lat spread and a frontal lat spread you can notice how much smaller it is. Now i know how some people would say its perfectly fine and only i would notice it but i dont wanna frikkin go competing half assed and without good symmetry. besides that im gonna go hit some chest hard. back to dumbell presses |
| Posted by: Will109090 Aug 3 2007, 07:21 PM | ||
I have the opposite problem. My left lat is smaller than my right lat, and it pisses me off. I think the problem contributes to back problems, due to my left lat lagging behind when I used to lift heavy weights 5 months back. I lifted back for the first time in about two months on Tuesday, and only my left side was sore and hurt a little. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Aug 3 2007, 08:32 PM |
| wtf one of my stretchmark busted open and is bleeding, what the hell is going on? damn im really starting to hate them |
| Posted by: Will109090 Aug 3 2007, 10:47 PM |
| Hey homes, what do you use for those stretchmarks? I have a few at the chest/deltoid connection and some in my inner bicep. I'm tan by nature, so you can't see them too much, but is there any lotion or other formula I can use to make them less visible? |
| Posted by: typeRob Aug 3 2007, 11:32 PM |
| cocoa butter |
| Posted by: MoVin_Weight Aug 4 2007, 11:34 AM |
| if your losing symetry then that means your supporting muscles are weak... possibly the rotater cuff or rear delt ect... since your lifting as heavy as you can your strong side is making up for the weaker side and it will only continue to get worse if you don't do something about it your best bet is to start doing some isolation lifts to strengthen the weaker supporting muscles and drop the weight slightly so you can maintain proper form, and evenly distribute the weight between both sides |
| Posted by: opfor101 Aug 6 2007, 02:41 PM |
| goddamnit, i had a fucking wood for the whole day already wtf is going on. its as if im on viagara or some shit. |

| Hey op, what do you typically do for back? I'm trying to regain my strength after being out of the gym basically 2 out of the past 3 months due to various injuries. Also, since we both have disproportionate lats, I was thinking about adding 3 sets of DB rows to my lagging lat to help it catch up to my right lat. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Aug 6 2007, 09:31 PM | ||||
well im gonna quote rich, i hope he doesnt mind i found it really informative

| im gonna be on a strength routine for a while once i get membership for a new gym 150 dollars a year, they got EVERY equipment possible dudes dont even complain if you slam the weights on the floor or just be a dick and leave the weights on the machines or barbells. and its like 30 minutes away. this one guy i know trains people (hes not certified) but does a damn good job at training people. the dude recognized my weaknesses right away and he told me how its much easier to hit them if you have more variety at the gym time to get even bigger! |
| Posted by: opfor101 Aug 11 2007, 02:49 PM |
| damn i gotta start stretching my arms, i cant do a lat spread on my right side anymore. my rear delt of my right arm hurts like shit when i try a lat spreead. |

| Posted by: willpiazza31 Aug 13 2007, 04:10 PM |
| Try getting some bulk L-Tyrosine, bulk caffeine, bulk AAKG. Mix that shit up in water and there's your energy drink! |

I wouldn't want a gym that lets ppl be homos and leave weights on shit. I'd smack u with a bar |
| Posted by: opfor101 Aug 14 2007, 07:03 AM |
| that was a good workout, my energy drink cocktail turned out to give me more energy during the workout. Im pretty sure it was mostly the dextrose that did the job. |

| haha just measured my arms, grew about .6 inches since my last measurement since march or april. its measured at now 16.6 inches this is not after workout pumped arms or anything. cold measurement |

| Posted by: opfor101 Aug 15 2007, 09:10 PM |
| im thinking of cutting now, gonna shed some fat before another bulk. ive added some good lbs to my frame and i just wanna come in leaner on my next bulk personally i hate the time frame that im doing a cut (its almost winter) so im not sure whether i should ride out the winter and add some more lbs of muscle then wait till jan or feb to cut for the summer |
| Posted by: accent115 Aug 15 2007, 09:40 PM | ||
dont cut now, theres no purpose, from the last pic i saw of you, you dont have that much bodyfat as it is. Cutting now wouldn't serve any purpose, its winter time aka time to look good in a tight shirt. Wait till like feb/march |

| How are the gain coming along Min? Oh, and you better have your calendar marked for Saturday, September 22!!! Prejudging starts at 11am and finals are at 6pm at the MLK H.S. on 65th and Amsterdam. Oh, and my friend Sue will need to workout on Thursday and/or Friday afternoon if you know a gym we could hit up. I'll be chilling, but would be happy to show you a thing or two. We are staying at the Double Tree on Lexington Ave. in Manhattan. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Aug 29 2007, 06:38 PM | ||
eh..... gains are VERY slow these days im becoming fat too and im constantly debating whether to use shortcuts (AAS or PH) ive even found alot of legit sources, got very close to buying. But im still staying all natural for the time im a teenager. now onto the topic. im thinking of getting a new membership anyway so if things go accordingly ill get you guys a guest pass. I'll definitely be there on the 22nd. Oh man i'm gonna look like a stick walking next to you in the gym 51st and lex, thats really close to where i live. You'll probably hear of it, i live on roosevelt island. Its a tram away and a couple blocks down. Hell yeah!! Oh, I will be all dieted down and still carbing up at that point so you have nothing to fear....except feeling chubby next to me. Patience is critical in this game no matter which path you choose. 5-7 lbs of lean mass gained per year is excellent. Heck in 5 years you could 25-35 lbs larger! That is LARGE man. Slow and steady wins this race! |

got a new update picture. nothing impressive. |

| Posted by: opfor101 Sep 1 2007, 03:37 PM | ||
naw i finished Anabolic Pump during may. really fun to use though. The psychological effects of having your muscles swell up is really great. you feel bigger too. When i get the money im going back on Anabolic pump |

Hell yeah, a back bashing it is! |
| Posted by: opfor101 Sep 25 2007, 09:54 PM |
| oh man, what a LONG layoff from working out. working out with Rich and Hoops really motivated me to workout again. anyway, had weightlifting for gym in school so i deadlifted 135x10 reps (felt kinda stiff) 245x10 reps (felt really good) 295x 8 reps (was kinda hard at the end) 315x4 reps (on the 4th one the bar was slipping off so i couldnt get a PERFECT lockout) good to see my strength hasnt suffered one bit. im sure ill see some good strength gains now that im getting back on, hopefully ill see strong rebound and possibly pass my previous plateau. but man, i had a terrible headache after I finished deadlifting. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Sep 26 2007, 04:24 PM |
| omg.... when i woke up today my lower back and my hamstrings hurt like a bitch! deadlifting after laying it off for two months really hurts lol. well as they say, i wont be bending over and stretching each others hamstrings for quite a while! LOL! |

| optfor, that was pretty gay...... i have pics, but i am not posting them now, i feel violated |
| Posted by: Light Weight Baby Sep 30 2007, 09:14 PM |
| opfor, when you pose (especially double bi) make sure you let your arms like out away from your body.... you are "hiding away with it" as arnold says in pumping iron. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Sep 30 2007, 09:25 PM | ||
hmmm i heard that before, but i dont know what that means. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Sep 30 2007, 09:26 PM | ||
haha i was playing around but seriously do you have pics? |
| Posted by: Light Weight Baby Sep 30 2007, 09:42 PM |
| Umm... like when you go to flex your biceps, you seem to keep your arms in. Stretch your arms out first and then flex the biceps without moving at the shoulder at all. Take a pic that way and compare and you'll see what I mean. |

| Posted by: opfor101 Oct 4 2007, 10:42 PM |
| ok, i might be taking anabolic pump again, that was the one supplement that i really liked. but then its frikkin expensive. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Oct 5 2007, 04:06 PM |
| gonna go lift today, prolly some chest and back and triceps. |
| Posted by: accent115 Oct 5 2007, 04:46 PM | ||
I wouldn't worry to much about it, you're lack of sleep/ calories is why you feel weaker. But you better get shit together |
| Posted by: opfor101 Oct 5 2007, 05:41 PM | ||||
i can certainly eat more calories, but sleep is something i have no control of. I have way too much hw and projects, not to mention have quizzes and tests every week. anyway i think i found the problem to the whole thing about lats, shoulders and chest assymetry, my left and right shoulder joints are placed differntly so the muscles worked are different on each side. i can actually feel the differnce of the position of where the arm meets the shoulders on my left and right. so its a bone deformity, this sucks ass. |
| Posted by: JW32Hoops Oct 5 2007, 05:42 PM |
| Get 7 hours of sleep per night and get your ass in the gym 4x per week to SFW. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Oct 5 2007, 05:44 PM |
| 7 hours of sleep would actually be a blessing, these days i only get about 4.5 hours of sleep each day, even on weekends (have to goto work, goto NYU science lectures, etc) |
| Posted by: opfor101 Oct 9 2007, 12:25 AM |
| i think i may have a reason for why some people have more stretchmarks then others when they gain weight. glucocorticoid hormones, are primarily directly affects fibroblasts in the dermis by preventing its production of collagen and elastin fibers, so when you gain weight, not enough collagen is present and so the dermis tears. i think some people produce more of this hormone than others, now my guess is because of stress since it has the same effects as cortisol, and also to negate the inflammatory effects of weightlifting (muscle microtears) glucocorticoid is a powerful anti inflammatory. now if only i knew how to block its effects. |
| Posted by: Succio Oct 9 2007, 12:31 AM |
| whats your schedule like? do you work during the week? |
| Posted by: opfor101 Oct 9 2007, 02:05 AM | ||
schedule? oh im busy as hell this year, especially since i actually do hw and study. ummmmmmmm i rarely have time to lift these days. but 8-3:30 school but then i have to leave at 7 to make it to school on time get home at 4:30 or 5:30 and then eat and get settled until like 6 goto the gym for an hour at 8 i start my hw i finish at like 1 am, and then i study until like 2 or 3 o clock. take a 3-4 hour nap (its not even sleep) then wake up at 6 REPEAT this process for 5 days a week. It sucks ass. |
| Posted by: Light Weight Baby Oct 9 2007, 06:16 AM |
| Sounds like me... except I lift first thing in the morning so the rest of the day I can focus on getting enough food and doing my hw. I still get like 6-7 hours of sleep, though. |
| Posted by: MoVin_Weight Oct 9 2007, 09:14 PM |
| sleep is killing me this year too bro! i'm up at 515 at school at 630 til 330 come home and eat and chill for an hour, hit the gym... home by 7 eat chill and do hw and never get to sleep before 12 fuckin sucks man! |
| Posted by: OmniRed Oct 9 2007, 10:20 PM |
| what's your weight at now bro? or ate you still on the wall at 188 |
| Posted by: opfor101 Oct 9 2007, 11:09 PM | ||
haha the only differnce is, your doing well with your bulk. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Oct 9 2007, 11:10 PM | ||
yeah i lost like 4 lbs of muscle in two months. it sucks ass. i didnt know junior year of high school would be this bad. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Oct 10 2007, 03:31 PM |
| time to gain PURE MUSCLE! gonna hit the gym today. back and forearms today and also rear delts. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Oct 11 2007, 06:33 PM |
| heres an update yesterdays workout was lat pull downs 90 lbs 10 reps 120 lbs 10 reps 130 lbs 10 reps 120 lbs 8 reps 120 lbs 7 reps all the reps were nice and slow, well, fast on the positive and squeezing the muscle while on the negative i brought it up slow and let it stretch my lats at the top Something Rich taught me while he was in NYC i actually felt it on my right lats this time Thanks Rich! Anyway afterwards i did dumbell rows 60 lbs 10 reps 3 sets nice and slow, same method as the latter exercise. my lats are quite sore today. then i moved onto reverse curls 40 lbs 10 reps 3 sets then moved onto bent over shoulder raises (rear delts) overall a REALLY good workout. this was my first real workout since i worked out with Rich and Joe(jw32hoops) |
| Posted by: MoVin_Weight Oct 11 2007, 08:06 PM |
| well i'm hoping to do well with my bulk, i'v been cutting for a while so now i'm going to try and add 10 lean pounds by spring but hell look at it this way... your all rested up and ready to SFW! switch to a fullbody routine and you only gotta hit the gym 3 days a week instead of 5 thats how i'm making it work |
| Posted by: opfor101 Oct 11 2007, 09:23 PM | ||
hey i gotta ask a noob question lol, can you gimme a post of a fullbody routine? well i hope i can gain 10 lbs LBM but thats really hard to do as it is the epistane that i ....... my friend has at his house looks awfully tempting to use. its not mine i swear! |
| Posted by: rich_55 Oct 12 2007, 08:32 AM | ||
You better be joking! - From training with you for 2 minutes, I can tell you that you can train ALOT harder, more strict and more intense. - From reading about your eating habits, I can tell that this is that you are not consistent with your eating all the time. - Sleep, everyone struggles with this. Get as much as you can. Stop being such a pus! Focus on the basics and JUST DO IT! Lift, Eat, Sleep, repeat. If you can't do that first and foremost, then no "assisted" gains will ever stick. Not to mention, how high your natural test is anyways and the potential damage you would do to your still developing hormonal system. |
| Posted by: MoVin_Weight Oct 12 2007, 08:35 AM |
| lol 10 lean pounds to me just means less than 30-40% fat... yeah i wish i could add pure LBM but my body doesn't love me enough to do that anyways i see rich floating on this forum and he's the one that inspired my full body workout so i'll let him post first since i'm late for class |
| Posted by: JW32Hoops Oct 12 2007, 08:38 AM | ||
There are some good examples in this thread. http://forums.bulknutrition.com/?showtopic=39251&hl=my+routine I actually wound up doing the FB thing for a couple months and liked it. |

http://forums.bulknutrition.com/?showtopic=31100&hl=rich&st=0 I have found this time and time again to be a great program, particularly for adding back and leg mass. I mix it up differently each time I do it. |

430490349340984309850348503485034850438% behind rich on this. Opfor you shouldn't even think about this. You've got a lot of potential in you that you really need to bring out first. |
| Posted by: MoVin_Weight Oct 12 2007, 11:13 AM | ||||
yeah this is the routine i based mine off of, i tweaked it a bit to get it to my liking but it worked out good my workout is kind of all over the place lately, no strict routine... but basically hitting all bodyparts 3 days a week somethin like this Monday: DB Military Press DB Rows Leg Press Lateral raises Lat Pull-down (behind neck) Calf raises Dips Thursday: Incline Bench Deads hack squat Shrugs Weighted pull-ups Calfs Sunday: Squats or Leg Press DB Flat Bench Barbell Rows standing shoulder press Calfs Bi/Tri work and i'll throw other isolation lifts in there from time to time between sets... basically i warm up and then go for 2-3 good working sets of 8-10 reps |
| Posted by: opfor101 Oct 16 2007, 06:11 PM |
| yeah you guys are right. its gay that i even got it, let alone thought about it. thanks for the fullbody workout guys....... wait that sounds a tad bit wrong. thanks for giving me the list of what you guys do for the full body workout. anyway, i had a pretty decent workout today no PR's since its been a month or two off with shitty diet. but i did incline dumbell press- 40 lbs x 10 60 lbs x 7 60 lbs x 6 40 lbs x 6 and did some triceps rope pulldowns 80 lbs x 7 60 lbs x 7 30 lbs x 10 overall my strength went down by like 10-20 lbs i found out why my bench went down considerably and also was my weak point previous to my 2 month layoff my triceps were weak (didnt really work em out) and consequently, the triceps gave up before my chest would on the bench press. |
| Posted by: MoVin_Weight Oct 16 2007, 07:48 PM |
| no biggie, it will come back in a couple weeks... could be worse, you could be me! I think i have some mild tendonitus (sp) in my left shoulder cuz i can't bench worth a shit! 185 hurt like a bitch today so fuck it i'm sticking to hammer strength for a while till it heals |

| YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOT!! my hunger is finally kicking back in. had 2 cups of rice with tuna an hour ago and im STARVING AGAIN!!! YES!!! it took WAY too long for this to start again. im fully back in the game again guys! |
| Posted by: rich_55 Oct 19 2007, 09:49 AM | ||
Consistency is key! Keep it up and your strength will bounce back in no time. Your goal should be to work your muscles as hard as possible regardless of the weight used. Get back after it!! I hope to see you onstage next September in NYC!! |
| Posted by: opfor101 Oct 19 2007, 10:26 PM | ||||
hmmm september, i think thats sufficient time to bring all my weaknesses on par with my strong points. i just hope if i do proceed to do the show, i wont lose alot of muscle. i might run a cut before hand earlier to actually see how to cut properly and if i do lose more muscle than expected, i can look to see where my flaws in diet and training and cardio were. that being said i went out with friends and had italian (penne w/ vodka sauce and grilled chicken (like 8 oz) alot of carbs and protein! and fat...... i was full, but 2 hours later i downed a weight gainer since i was starving, about to eat 2 cups of rice with tuna in about half an hour. EAT TO GROW! |
| Posted by: opfor101 Oct 20 2007, 07:28 AM |

| Its probably the ZMA that's giving you weird dreams. I had to stop taking ZMA before bed because of that |
| Posted by: opfor101 Oct 22 2007, 06:48 PM |
| pretty short workout, but efficient i did back so i pretty much did lat pull downs 60 lbs x 10 130 lbs x 10 130 lbs x 7 120 lbs x 7 close grip pulldowns 140 lbs x 6 120 lbs x 6 120 lbs x 6 i smashed my back Went down fast, and went up slow, squeezed my muscle at the bottom and stretched it out at the top. the only thing that hampered my workout was my weak forearms, it felt as if i was about to let go of the lat pull down bar thingie within a couple reps never had this problem when i did the lat pulls uncontrollably. LOL |
| Posted by: willpiazza31 Oct 22 2007, 07:30 PM |
| That's all you did for back? |
| Posted by: opfor101 Oct 22 2007, 07:38 PM | ||
sorry mr.strongman, im still featherweight compared to you |
| Posted by: willpiazza31 Oct 23 2007, 07:21 AM |
| No I mean 2 exercises, that's it? |
| Posted by: JW32Hoops Oct 23 2007, 08:04 AM |
| Word...2 exercises for a total of 7 sets? Couldn't have taken more than 20 minutes. Why not just stay home and bang out some pushups if that's all you're gonna do? Smash some bi's or something else when you're done with back...get your 45-60 minutes worth. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Oct 23 2007, 03:15 PM | ||
holy crap. hmmm ill have to look at that for next week. |
| Posted by: accent115 Oct 23 2007, 03:24 PM |
| I almost do as much as you for back and i do fullbody. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Oct 23 2007, 07:21 PM |
| ahh fuck didnt hit the gym today. i might look into the 24/7 opened gyms in queens but then my parents are hardasses about being in the suburbs in the middle of night. anyway, i just took a pic. ![]() my arms are two small lines away from hitting the 17 inch mark these gains i did make on lats and arms which for some reason grew a bit even when diet was garbage and training was ass was i believe tottally from just the high test levels. gotta stop depending on that, this wont last forever. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Oct 23 2007, 10:03 PM |
| damn, its soo hard balancing school and diet and lifting. focusing on one of em makes you sort of neglect the other. im really trying to be the best i can be at school. Doing hw, studying every week, joining extracurricular programs, afterschool and then on top of that, fitting in the diet and finding a free time (when im not tired up to my eyeballs) this really sucks ass. last year i dedicated alot of time to eating and lifting but then again my focus on school was horrible (i ended up having a grade about 20 points less than the previous year) although i made great gains, i also had terrible performance in school not making excuses, just felt like ranting. got some serious studying to do, i gotta get my U.S history grades up (my teacher gives us his liberal views on politics rather than giving a class lesson) and come test day you're kinda like wtf this was never gone over in class. math and french i just suck ass at so major studying is needed. God this feels like a never ending cycle. every damn week theres a test and quizzes. |
| Posted by: rich_55 Oct 23 2007, 10:20 PM |
| You have to find balance as there will always be other factors such as friends, relationships, work, kids, school, etc. Oh, and you don't need as much volume if you are lifting at a very high intensity. BUT, I don't think that is the case. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Oct 23 2007, 11:14 PM |
| yeah my workouts need to be kicked up a notch or two. once i get my drivers license, going to the gym should be helluva lot easier (faster to get to gym by car than train, 45 minutes by train) for now im really hoping to fit in education and bodybuilding into the schedule and excell in both of em. |

| Posted by: opfor101 Oct 24 2007, 06:47 PM |
| had a pretty intense shoulder workout. military press....... 80 lbs 7 reps x 2 sets 60 lbs 7 reps x 3 sets front raises 20 lbs 8 reps x 4 sets lateral raises 8 lbs 10 reps x 4 sets bent over raises 8 lbs 10 reps x 3 sets rope pulldowns 60 lbs 13 reps x 4 sets numbers all have to go up. |

| hey thanks! i sure wont stop when i do hit 200. by the way does anyone know anything about pinched nerves and such? you know when you hit the nerve next to your elbow and it makes your hand spasm and such well when i do a front double bicep it feels like the left arm nerve is being pressed or something i cant flex all the way. |

| im wondering what carbs do to increase appetite. i just ate spaghetti (a huge bowl) and like 20 minutes later i was full but then i had a surge of hunger. really weird. i feel like throwing up yet im still hungry. |
| Posted by: J-Freak25 Nov 3 2007, 12:43 AM |
| I get that sometimes, it fucking sucks! |
| Posted by: accent115 Nov 3 2007, 08:30 AM |
| If the spaghetti was not wheat, then its a higher GI carb, and it digests faster. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Nov 3 2007, 08:23 PM | ||
it is wheat, and it was still in my stomach when i was eating the oats. |
| Posted by: Light Weight Baby Nov 3 2007, 08:32 PM |
| Wheat pasta??? Never tried it... I had a steak, big baked potato, and fettucini alfredo from Hoss's tonight tho |

what does that have to do with otfpor's journal? that belongs in the clean thread bud along with any AP or JO stories |
| Posted by: Light Weight Baby Nov 3 2007, 08:51 PM |
| The point of my post was asking about what wheat pasta tastes like. Do you see it? |
| Posted by: opfor101 Nov 4 2007, 09:39 AM |
| k fags, new pics are here. took em right after i got outta bed. just dont JO to them.....except for Roids LOL jk anywway here they are. i think i grew a bit even on a crap diet. http://img26.picoodle.com/img/img26/6/11/4/f_PB042000m_d7a1207.jpg http://img28.picoodle.com/img/img28/6/11/4/f_PB042002m_c9f4755.jpg http://img03.picoodle.com/img/img03/6/11/4/f_PB042006m_de2cd10.jpg http://img35.picoodle.com/img/img35/6/11/4/f_PB042010m_9bab4ef.jpg http://img26.picoodle.com/img/img26/6/11/4/f_PB042012m_f5740d9.jpg what pisses me off is that, my lats are growing assymetrically. couple months back my left lat was much bigger, now my right lat is the bigger one. |
| Posted by: JW32Hoops Nov 4 2007, 09:47 AM | ||
I know you were working on bringing the right lat up, so that's a good sign that it responded. For now, I wouldn't worry about it...just keep SFW hard and try to get both sides to grow. You can worry about the finishing touches later. At your age, just bulk, bulk bulk and give yourself a bigger canvas to work with, y'know. You're doing fine...just gotta SFW more. |
| Posted by: opfor101 Nov 4 2007, 10:03 AM | ||||
not now chief, I'm in the fucking zone! |
| Posted by: Light Weight Baby Nov 4 2007, 12:50 PM |
| Yeah... I strongly agree with Hoops. Don't worry about symmetry between your lats when they aren't massive. Get them huge then worry about that (if you are planning on competiting). |

| thanks guys. so the moral of the story would be, stop complaining and just lift. im planning to compete next year, hopefully if things go accordingly i might attend the same show Rich is in september. |

There will always be other things going on in your life that can make it difficult for you to train such as school, work, relationships, family, whatever. You have to make it a priority if you want to take to a competitive level. Consistency will enable you to make the best progress. I think the INBF Naturalmania would be an excellent debut for you. Let me break it down for you. Giving yourself 16 weeks to diet will put you beginning your prep in mid-May. During that time you will need maximum focus. Prior to that you have more flexibility, but maximum focus is still needed if you want put on more quality lean muscle in the next 7 months. Timelines are mandatory in this sport. FYI, my training partner James will be competing in NYC next June and going for his WNBF pro card. We'll have to get together then. |

ill definitely see you guys at the June show. funny thing is, once i hit the legs today, i suddenly felt like i am able to goto the gym frequently and eat more. Must be all the bitchiness i released when doing squats. i'll definitely make bodybuilding one of my priorities, next to hw and studying and definitely eating. cant wait to see what kinda gains i can make during the next couple months until june, when i start the competition mode. |

| AAAwww optfor....well don't pick your nose and eat it and you won't get sick! Seriously though, I hope you feel better bro...everyone here in FL is getting the seasonal crap. Just keep up your vitamins like you said and drink lots of cranberry juice or whatever juice you like with tons of antioxidents. Personally when I feel sick, I just bring some hand sanitizer to the gym (keep everyone else from getting sick too...they would probably hate you at your gym if everyone got sick and noone was coming). Unless you are really really sick, if you keep the blood moving through your body and keep working out and eating right, you will heal up in no time. Prime example: I don't usually get sick much, but my sweetie got really, really sick a few weeks ago. She could barely whisper, runny nose, sore throat, pale skin, feeling hot in cold temperatures, etc. I sleep in the same bed with her, even still gave her kisses to make her feel better and I didn't get sick why? I washed my hands an absolute minimum of 6 times a day at home, drank lots of juice and took my normal supplements (I think the ADAM's superior man multi helped me here a lot), and kept hitting the gym hard. You've been eating really well too right? You shouldn't get too sick doing all the things you are suppose to. There are a lot of pro-immune supps out there too bro, hit up your local shop to grab a bottle (grocery stores dont usually have the right pro-immune stuff). You'd be amazed on how it keeps you well! Get tons of rest when your not in the gym too. Chicken noodle soup, sprite, and day-quil cured the people of South Park of SARS....think of what it can do for you..... |

Bad news on that bro....I graduated HS in 01' and lemme tell you, it gets 20x harder once your in college having to pay for your own bills. I'll give you a quick run down of my life for the past 2 years. I am working 2 jobs, a day and a night. Day - $15/hr cash, only 2 days a week though (pool table repair, jukeboxes, arcade machines, bar-top touchscreen games....) We did all the work for the first 4 months (worked mon-fri then) I worked and now, 8 months since, we barely have any work. Night - $9.50/hr check, Mon-Fri 7:30p-12:30a UPS Only full time employees make the good money, but I won't become a driver till I move to Chapel Hill. SO not only do I work two jobs and have almost no money after bills, but I'm doing 3 classes online at the local college in my free time, so I don't have any free time between work, learning my degree at home, gym 4 days a week..... Enjoy living at home with your parents bro...you'll miss it once the real world slaps you in the face. You'll not only have school stress, but add keeping your power/phone/cable/water turned on, pay your rent every month, car payment and insurance, food, gas...it's a big change. |

| ok, cold is almost 100 percent gone. so it lasts for about a week. time to get back onto the diet, (the combination of heavy caffeine usage for those late night study sessions and having the cold has killed my appetite) i notice some size loss (especially on the chest and shoulders). gotta get cracking, im gonna bulk for about a month or two then go on a small cut to get an experience before i do a comp cut in june. not to mention i have to lower my relatively high bodyfat percentage to make it easier later when i do the comp cut. going to have to stick with basic supps, and only herbal thermogenics (no ephedra) since INBF has a strict guidelines on which supps are considered "natural" to think about it, its not that much time till the cut, have only about 4-5 months to bulk and work on those weakspots. |
