Applied Nutriceuticals has been gracious enough to help me with my cut provided I keep a very detailed log of my experiences while cutting using this stack. For that, I say thank you. I will do my best to post daily (should not be a problem) and offer as much feedback as possible on the supplements in regards to how they react with my body, diet, and training. If you'd like for me to add anything extra in my log, please feel free to let me know. I typically do not post the weights I use while lifting because to me, it's all relative (what may be a PR for me may be a warm-up for someone else). Basics Age: 30 Ht: Around 5'8 Wt: 216 Bf: 23.5% Type: Mesomorph Training: Around 3-4 years but really at it for 2-3 Training Outline Will vary and will post it as I am tweaking it this evening Diet Fine-tuning it right now (need to add more carbs) but after running it by quite a few people, it's spot on for my goal. Supps ON whey Now Fish Oil caps Now Flax Oil liquid Now Adam Multi BCAA's Lipo-AM Lipo-PM IGF-2 Kwick Karb Dextrose Goals To get back to a 32 waist, and drop bf% to 10 (have never been that low). I have done a cut before but relied too much on supps. and mainly cardio without combining the diet portion of it. I did lose weight but also lost muscle in that process. I feel I am much more knowledgeable now and am really looking forward to this cut (was ready to go before BulkFest started). Other notes - I typically train around 7pm so the updates will usually be posted around 9pm. - Other updates will be posted if I have some during-the-day feedback about supps. - I work alot but and at a hotel so my meals may not always be "on time" but I do get them in. - I prepare almost all my meals for the week on Sundays. - I have access to my gym anytime I want as I work there and have a key. - As I always say, this journal is not only for me to keep focused on my goals but also for all of you to see what my results are based off of my diet, cardio, weights, and the specific supps. I will be taking. As you can tell, I am taking this very seriously and have been waiting to do this for awhile. Here we go!!!!

So, here is my anticipated workout scheme, based off of 6 days: Sun: Legs/Bis Mon: Chest/Tris Tue: Shoulders/Back Wed: Legs/Bis Thur: Chest/Tris Fri: Shoulders/Back Sunday (Legs/Bis) Back Squat Leg Press Superset: Leg ext., seated curl Calf Press Dbell curl Hammer curl EZ bar reverse curl Monday (Chest/Tris) Bench Press Incline dbell press Incline dbell flye Tri pushdown (v-bar) Skulls Close grip bench Tuesday (Shoulders/Back) Smith shoulder press Bbell upright row Superset: dbell side and dbell front raise Lat pulldown Seated row Chins Wednesday (Legs/Bi) Front Squat Dbell Lunges Superset: Leg ext., seated leg curl Smith calf raise Bbell curl Incline dbell curl EZ bar rev. curl Thur (Chest/Tris) Flat dbell press Incl. chest press Flat dbell flye Tri pushdown (rope) Incline skulls Cable kickbacks Fri (Shoulders/back) Dbell press Dbell shrug Superset: Dbell upright row/dbell side raise V-Bar pulldown 1 arm dbell row Cable pressdown Before you say I should take days off, this is what I have found to do my body best. As Wdnesday is a regular day off from work, I will do cardio in the morning and work out in the evening. Saturday morning will also be another cardio day. Yes, I will be adding in another day of cardio but this is what I have as definite so far. As far as back exercises go, deadlifts kill my lower back (recurring back problems) and it kills with proper form so those are unfortunately out of the equation, for right now.

Sorry I didn't post yesterday...very long day. Dosing: 5:30AM - 2 Lipo-AM and 3 IGF-2 6:15AM - 2 Lipo-PM with breakfast 12:30PM - 2 Lipo-PM with lunch 3:30PM - 3 IGF-2 on an empty stomach 6:45PM - 1 Lipo-AM and 3 IGF-2 (pre-workout) 9:15 - Lipo-PM (pre-bed) Feeling: Well, being that it was the first day, wasn't able to tell anything. It's also the busiest two weeks of the year for us at the hotel but I had plenty of energy and clear focus and wasn't tired at all. Not sure if this was a result of the supps. or adrenaline from the business of the hotel. Workout: Had plenty of focus and intensity throughout the entire workout. Really wanted to keep going but knew I shouldn't. Seemed as though I was really able to focus on the muscles being worked and again, everything seemed very clear. Flat Bench (10,9,9) Dbell Incline (10,9,7) Incline Flye (10,10,10) V-Bar Pushdown (10,9,9) EZ Skulls (8,8,8) Close Grip Bench (10,10,10) Again, first day so not much to report. Will update on Day 2 tonight after I workout.

From Tuesday Dosing: 5:30AM - 2 Lipo-AM and 3 IGF-2 6:15AM - 2 Lipo-PM with breakfast 12:30PM - 2 Lipo-PM with lunch 3:30PM - 3 IGF-2 on an empty stomach 6:45PM - 1 Lipo-AM and 3 IGF-2 (pre-workout) 9:15 - Lipo-PM (pre-bed) Feeling: Only got about 5 hours of sleep due to watching the NCAA game but woke up feeling as if I had 8 full hours. Didn't wake up once and that's rare for me. So, the day started out very well. Busy again at the hotel and again, full energy and focus and seemed to think clearly about everything. Workout: Had major DOMS in chest and tris from the previous night. Mainly due to taking the previous week off and doing a new rep/set scheme. TOnight's workout went very well with shoulders/back. Smith Press Upright bbell row Superset of dbell front and side raises Lat Pulldown Seated ROw Chins So far, no results I can REALLY put on the supps. but we'll see (especially the sleeping). Till Wednesday.

4/4 AM Day 3 Dosing: 7:00AM - 2 Lipo-AM and 3 IGF-2 on an empty stomach Small EAS Shake at 7:30AM. Feeling: Another restful night of sleep, only woke up once (which is still good for me). Plenty of energy for cardio and still feel good afterwards. Workout: Did HIIT cardio this morning. 10 minutes on the treadmill and 10 minutes on the bike. Really stayed focused from minute one to minute 10 during each session. Sweating was the usual amount so no excess to report. Other: The past couple of weeks I have really been craving ice cream at night but honestly the past 2 nights, no craving whatsoever. The gf wanted pizza last night and I knew it would've tasted good but just didn't want it. Lipo-PM seems to be doing the trick on the cravings already. As far as hunger though, I start to get a little hungry every 2 hours but I think my body is still conditioned to feel that way and now with the extra boost in metabolism and working so hard outside everyday, I think it might be through the roof (which is a good thing). But again, the Lipo-PM might be helping during the day with the bad cravings.

Man, that is a crazy workout schedule, congrats. Can your body really recup. that fast from it? I wish I could lift that often. Sun: Legs/Bis Mon: Chest/Tris Tue: Shoulders/Back Wed: Legs/Bis Thur: Chest/Tris Fri: Shoulders/Back

i'm a bit curious about the IGF-2 what kind of weight do you think you will need to be at to reach your goal?
Posted by: Vitruvian Apr 4 2007, 12:53 PM
Scalato, Looking good so far my man! Keep it going.... You will reach your goal! I am really looking forward to tracking your cut! Alex, Quit being one of the interested and join those that use it and LOVE it. (Peer Pressure) LOL. You won't be sorry! Oh.....It might be a mistake, it might be corrected by now.... who knows. A certain retailer had IGF-2 listed nearly $15 below the nearest competitor! That is one top notch, A1 supplements store!

4/4 Day 3 PM Workout: Had great energy and clarity even after getting a massage a few hours earlier. Squats Walking dbell lunges Calf Press Superset with leg ext and leg curl EZ bar curl Incline dbell curl Reverse ez bar curl Other: Nothing really to report.

4/5 Day 4 Thursday Dosing: 5:30AM - 2 Lipo-AM and 3 IGF-2 6:15AM - 2 Lipo-PM with breakfast 12:30PM - 2 Lipo-PM with lunch 3:30PM - 3 IGF-2 on an empty stomach 6:45PM - 1 Lipo-AM and 3 IGF-2 (pre-workout) 9:15 - Lipo-PM (pre-bed) Feeling: Didn't sleep all that great last night. Had a lot on the mind so I believe that contributed to it. I was able to fall asleep quickly and when I woke up around 3am, I felt wide awake. Kept falling asleep and waking up the rest of the morning until 5:40am. Had to do a lot of office work today and seemed to fly through it without feeling like I was rushing (a great feeling). Again, still feeling hungry every 2 hours. Workout: Still had soreness from chest/tri workout on Monday so decided to take the day off rather than overtrain. Other: Major DOMS today in the legs but none in the bi's. Still feel pleased with the bi workout from yesterday nonetheless.

I'm not really worried about the scale at this point as I am about getting back down to a 32 waist and dropping the bf. Of course, I'd love for the scale to stay the same and drop the bf but only time will tell with this stack. |

4/6 Friday Dosing: 5:30AM - 2 Lipo-AM and 3 IGF-2 6:15AM - 2 Lipo-PM with breakfast 12:30PM - 2 Lipo-PM with lunch 3:30PM - 3 IGF-2 on an empty stomach 6:45PM - 1 Lipo-AM and 3 IGF-2 (pre-workout) 9:15 - Lipo-PM (pre-bed) Feeling: Great clear energy all day without jitters. It was a long, busy day but I still had all the energy needed to get through the day. Workout: Most of the chest/tri soreness from Monday was gone so I decided to work those parts out today. Flat dbell press Incline bench Flat dbell flye Rope pulldown Incline skulls Cable kickbacks Nice pump throughout and really felt as if I could've done more but didn't want to overtrain. Other: I really think the Lipo-PM is helping with the cravings as I am not getting any at all on this reduced caloric diet. It's been kinda nice.
Posted by: scalato23 Apr 8 2007, 06:43 PM
Took Saturday off from the gym as I had to pretty much work a double but still got plenty of exercise being on the pool deck, moving chairs, towel bins, etc. Sunday 4/8 Dosing: 5:30AM - 2 Lipo-AM and 3 IGF-2 6:15AM - 2 Lipo-PM with breakfast 12:30PM - 2 Lipo-PM with lunch 3:30PM - 3 IGF-2 on an empty stomach 6:45PM - 1 Lipo-AM and 3 IGF-2 (pre-workout) 9:15 - Lipo-PM (pre-bed) Feeling: Did not eat terribly great yesterday but didn't notice any sluggish type feelings or bloated feelings this morning as I typically would have in the past. Workout: Dbell shoulder press Dbell shrugs Compound set - dbell upright row and side raises V-bar pulldown one arm dbell row Super pullover Worked out with great intensity for about 40 minutes and when I was done, I really thought I could go for another 40 minutes as I still had plenty of energy and intensity to do more. But, of course, I'm just going to save that motivation. Other: Sleep patterns have been a bit odd the past few nights. I've been waking up around 2 or 3 ready to get going with my day. I typically go to bed at 10 and wake around 5:30. But lately, it seems I'm getting more refreshed in less sleep. I love it but I guess I might have to go to bed a little later so I don't wake up so damn early.

How much weight have you lost?
Posted by: scalato23 Apr 9 2007, 05:05 PM
Week 1 Weigh-In: 213 (-3 pounds) BF: 22.5% (-1%) Today's Observations so far: Pretty crummy weather day, cold, dreary, and rainy. Perfect day to sleep and eat crap. But, I didn't feel any of that. I had just as much energy today as I did last week when it was very busy at work. Plus, no cravings that usually accompany a bad weather day (at least for me). Will update more after the workout tonight.
Posted by: scalato23 Apr 9 2007, 07:57 PM
Monday 4/9 Dosing: 5:30AM - 2 Lipo-AM and 3 IGF-2 6:15AM - 2 Lipo-PM with breakfast 12:30PM - 2 Lipo-PM with lunch 3:30PM - 3 IGF-2 on an empty stomach 6:45PM - 1 Lipo-AM and 3 IGF-2 (pre-workout) 9:15 - Lipo-PM (pre-bed) Feeling: Described it in the post above Workout: Phenomenal. Extremely focused and really was able to concentrate on the muscles involved in the movement. I also think using a little bit lighter weight and going to 10 reps with full concentration is helping. I had a mjaor pump in both biceps tonight, almost lost my dinner, and nearly had to stop because they were so painful. But, I finished the entire workout. Squats Leg Press Calf Raise Super Set: Leg Ext and LEg Curl Dbell Curl Hammer Curl Cable Curl Other: None today. Just excited about the bf% going down (not really caring about the total weight).

Tuesday 4/10 Dosing: 5:30AM - 2 Lipo-AM and 3 IGF-2 6:15AM - 2 Lipo-PM with breakfast 12:30PM - 2 Lipo-PM with lunch 3:30PM - 3 IGF-2 on an empty stomach 6:45PM - 1 Lipo-AM and 3 IGF-2 (pre-workout) 9:15 - Lipo-PM (pre-bed) Feeling: Nothing new to report feeling-wise. Still no cravings for junk food and no jittery effects even though I feel like I have more energy. Still have clarity in thoughts throughout the day. Workout: Bench Incline Dbell Incline flye V-bar pushdown Skulls Close-Grip Other: More DOMS in the legs after yesterday's workout. I am really focusing on them as I think my upper body may be overtaking my lower.

Afternoon Wednesday 4/11 Just a little update to say that during this day off, no cravings which is awesome. It's usually my days off when I'm doing errands that I start to crave fatty or high carb foods. Today, nothing, even with the metabolism in overdrive after this morning's cardio session. So far, I really think the Lipo-AM and Lipo-PM are doing what they are "supposed" to do. As for the IGF-2, my strength is going up a little on my 2nd go around of workouts on this supplement. Not sure if it's really working yet but at least the strength is not going down with my weight.
Posted by: Vitruvian Apr 11 2007, 05:18 PM
Awesome log so far man. I'd be interested to hear of any strength increases you may attribute to the products currently or in the future. Keep up the good work, let me know if I can help in any way.
Posted by: scalato23 Apr 11 2007, 07:44 PM
Will certainly do. I did start taking the WMS and Xtend today with my workouts so we'll see if that has a synergistic effect on my current stack.

Morning 4/12 Woke up WAY too much last night. Went to bed an hour earlier than usual at 9pm and started waking up at 1:30pm and basically every hour after that. Not fun.
| Posted by: Vitruvian Apr 12 2007, 01:26 PM | ||
Scalato, Try one of a couple things for me: 1. drop the pre-bed Lipo-PM and see if there is any change, or 2. include a small dose of melatonin pre-bed. You are the 2nd individual to report sleep problems, while multiple dozens have reported significant sleep improvements. Strange I tell you! Let me know what you think. |

Thursday 4/12 Dosing: 5:30AM - 2 Lipo-AM and 3 IGF-2 6:15AM - 2 Lipo-PM with breakfast 12:30PM - 2 Lipo-PM with lunch 3:30PM - 3 IGF-2 on an empty stomach Feeling: Despite not getting enough sleep after taking the AM, I felt "normal" and had no residual effects from the restless night. Workout: Day off as I felt a pull in my back the other day from doing upright rows and it hurts to move my neck around. Other: About 1 1/2 hours after my 3:30pm dose of IGF-2, whenever I use the bathroom, my urine has an odd smell and I am positive it is b/c of the IGF-2. I've noticed it for a few days now and have traced it to the supplement.
Posted by: scalato23 Apr 13 2007, 05:15 AM
Friday morning. I did not take the PM dose and slept wonderfully. Of course, it could be from the fact that I did not sleep well the previous night so I will do this through the weekend and see what happens. I'd hate for the PM to be the cause. COuld it be from me taking it during the day to control cravings that when I take it at night, it's not as effective?
Posted by: scalato23 Apr 14 2007, 06:53 AM
Saturday morning Usual dosing for Friday and again did not take the PM dose of the Lipo. Slept pretty good and only woke up once (bathroom). So far so good. No workout as well today as I was pretty sore from work. I did however walk a ton and briskly at work and the temp. was close to 90 so I know I burned a ton of calories. Hunger: I don't know what's going on but I'm getting very hungry way before my 2 hours apart from meals. Friday morning and this morning I've been hungry again at 7:15 am and I eat at 6:15am. On top of that, I'm eating 4 egg whites, 2 whole eggs, 1/2 cup oats with 1/2 scoop ON, and 1/2 grapefruit. It's crazy. It's pretty much like that through the entire day. I love the fact that my metabolism is going nuts but the hunger is ridiculous. I will say however, that the hunger is not sweets or cravings related. I want real food so that's a plus. Body: Was checking in the mirror this morning and I can already see a definite change in body comp. I still look "large" but without the soft, fatty appearance. I'm looking leaner and toner which is great. In addition, my strength is still going up and I don't appear or feel like I'm losing any muscle so I must say, I think the IGF-2 is working and I'm very happy with the results so far. Energy: Always have it and again, not the jittery energy, but just regular clear, focused energy. Other: Still have the "weird" smell after the 3:30pm dose of the IGF-2. Will try to compare it to something but not sure I can.
Posted by: scalato23 Apr 15 2007, 03:19 PM
Sunday afternoon 4/15 Usual dosing for the IGF-2 and Lipo AM and PM. Mild cheat day today as I went to Sweet Tomatoes at 11am for the breakfast. I love that place. Have also had a protein shake but with waking up late and eating a big meal at 11, I haven't really had much else. Just ate some stew meat (plain). Getting ready to hit the gym for an intense leg and bicep workout. Slept well again last night without the PM so I think I'm going to permanently ditch the PM at night. Totally sucks because I want the extra properties it brings to the table but if I'm not getting the sleep I need, it's not worth it. Maybe I'll add it back in and try the melatonin and see what happens there. Will keep you posted.
Posted by: scalato23 Apr 16 2007, 08:22 PM
Monday night 4/16 Usual dosing today of all supplements supplied by Applied Nut. Feeling: Again, usual energetic feeling. I'm really liking this as my body does not seem to be "adjusting" to it and it still has the same effects as the first week taking it. Kudos!!!! Workout: Chest and tris tonight. bench incline dbell incline flye (went up another 5lbs.) have gone up 10 pounds so far in 3 weeks v-bar pushdown skulls only had time for 2 exercises on triceps but it's probably good because I had painful pumps that I still feel. Other: Nothing really. Did not get a chance to weigh myself tonight but will do so and update tomorrow. On my last bottle of IGF-2 and I'm checking my funds to see if I can buy a full bottle. I've been using the sample bottles thus far.

Tuesday. Weight: 210 (-6) BF%: 21 (-2.5) So far so good on the results. Feeling: Same as usual Dosing: Same as usual Workout: Smith Press (+2.5 pounds each side) Upright rows (+2.5 pounds each side) Superset with side and front raises Lat Pulldown Seated Rows (+10 pounds) Chins (took off another 10 pounds on assisted machine and still managed 3x8) Surprising strength gains for me as these two are typically my weakest body parts so I am very happy with that. Other: Still DOMS from Sunday's leg workout. Cardio Wednesday morning.
Posted by: scalato23 Apr 18 2007, 08:30 AM
Just got back from cardio. Did about an hour spread over treadmill, bike, and stair. I changed the dosing a little bit this morning. When I got up at 7:15 I had a small EAS shake and then around 7:30 I took 3 Lipo-AM AND two Redline. I know it wasn't the smartest thing but I just wanted to try it out. Let me tell you, I feel nauseous and jittery as hell!!!! I felt totally fine throughout the hour of cardio but now, not feeling so hot. So, note to others, do not take Redline and Lipo-AM together. lol
Posted by: Vitruvian Apr 19 2007, 02:47 PM
Wow.... that's a mean combination stack there bro! haha I am pretty sure I would've puked by now. Any news on the mystery smell?
Posted by: scalato23 Apr 19 2007, 04:58 PM
Mystery smell is still there. I've been eating pretty much the same foods from before starting this stack through now so it's not the diet or type of exercises. I really think it has something to do with the IGF-2. I took 3 caps at 5:15pm today and am getting ready to go work out. So, if the past is any indicator, when I'm done or close to it and I use the restroom, there should be the smell. I'm guessing no one else has experienced this while using IGF??
Posted by: Justin18951 Apr 19 2007, 05:02 PM
Mystery smell? What do you mean? IGF2 is giving you bad farts.
Posted by: scalato23 Apr 19 2007, 07:55 PM
No, just weird smelling urine that I can't describe. And, like clockwork...at 7:15 this evening, used the bathroom and the smell was there. Now, I don't notice it after the morning dosage at all. It's typically around 5 or 6 that I first notice it and it stays pretty much throughout the evening. Thursday 4/19 Dosing: Usual (will be using 1 Lipo-PM tonight to see how my sleep is). Feeling: Usual Workout: Pounded the crap out of legs and bis Squats (added 2.5 to each side and still squeezed out 3 sets of 10) Leg Press (added 10 pounds to each side and same as above) Calf Raise (added 5 to each side) Leg Curl (added 5) Dbell Curl (was only able to squeeze out 1 more rep for 10,10,8 Hammer Curl (went up 5 pounds on each side and did 3 sets of 8) Cable Curl (went up 10 pounds and did 3 sets of 10) Nothing like tasting your own vomit to keep you going toward the end of the workout. I used to think I worked out with alot of intensity but seriously, since I've been on this stack, I really feel focused and in tune with my body. It's great.
Posted by: scalato23 Apr 20 2007, 05:25 PM
Just a quick update to say that my sleep last night was great with only taking 1 Lipo-PM. I slept through the entire night and woke up starving!!!! So, I'll try again through the weekend and see how the single pill does works.
Posted by: scalato23 Apr 21 2007, 08:36 PM
4/20 Friday Dosing: Normal Feeling: Normal while dosing Workout: Strength was way up tonight for some reason. Flat dbell (5lb increase and was able to complete 3 sets of 10) Incline bbell (5lb increase on each side for sets of 9,9,8) Flat flye (5lb increase for 3 sets of 10) Tri Push w/rope (went up 20 lbs for 3 sets of 10!!!) Incline Skulls (5lb increase for 3 sets of 10) Cable Kickbacks (went up 10 lbs for sets of 8,8,8 on right and 7,7,7 on left) Other: Besides the nice strength increase nothing new to report. By the way, I am lifting more weight NOW than while I was bulking or have lifted while taking SD. So, I have lost 6 pounds to-date and my strength is increasing. Nice results applied nutriceuticals
Posted by: scalato23 Apr 22 2007, 07:21 PM
From 4/21 - Saturday Normal dosing and feeling today Workout: Ran a 5K with the gf today and had plenty of energy and stamina for the entire thing. Also, no shin splints (woo hoo). As far as diet it was a cheat day so we went to Cracker Barrel afterwards but ate pretty well for the rest of the day.
Posted by: scalato23 Apr 22 2007, 07:37 PM
4/22 Sunday Dosing: Normal Feeling: Have some soreness in the chest from Friday's workout and calves and shins are both sore from the run yesterday Workout: Dbell shoulder press (+5 lbs for 3x10) Shrugs (+5 lbs for 3x10) Upright bbell row (+2.5 lbs for 3x10) V-bar pulldown (+10 lbs for 3x10) 1-arm dbell row (+5 lbs for 3x10) Pullover (+10 lbs for 3x10) Flet great moving up a little bit on everything tonight. Some might be questioning my intensity at the beginning of this journal due to the fact that most of my weights seem to be going up. I can assure you that I am sweating just as much now as I was when I started. My shirt is soaked, my eyes sting, I feel like puking...that's the way it is for every workout. SFW

4/23 Monday morning Have been taking the 1 Lipo-PM the past few nights and sleep has been right on. Two seemed to be too much for me but 1 has been perfect.
Posted by: scalato23 Apr 23 2007, 04:48 PM
4/23 Monday End of Week 3 Weigh-In: 208 (-8 total pounds) BF %: 19.8 (-3.7) Waist: Can squeeze into the 32's but the pockets look stretched and it's hard to button. 33's are pretty good. Cardio tonight and will update afterwards.
Posted by: scalato23 Apr 23 2007, 05:43 PM
It's official...the IGF-2 is the cause of the weird urine smell. I didn't take my 3:30 dose this afternoon and I just went to the restroom at the time it would usually smell and there was NO odor. Just an observation.
Posted by: scalato23 Apr 23 2007, 08:25 PM
For Monday night, 20 minutes of HIT cardio on the treadmill. Nothing else to report.
Posted by: scalato23 Apr 25 2007, 08:49 AM
Tuesday night Feeling: Still have the clear energy and focus throughout the day and during the workout. Dosing: Same although I will run out Wednesday Workout: Awesome. Incredible pump in the legs and biceps. Squat (+2.5 each side from last workout 3x10) Leg Press (+15 on each side 10,8,8) Std. Curl (no change from last time 3x10) Calf Press (+15 total for 3x10) Dbell Curl (finally got 3 sets of 10) Dbell Hammer (finally got 3 sets of 10) EZ Bar Rev. Curl (same as previous 3x9) Other: Really concentrated on the bicep movement during all curls and the pump was incredible. I think I'm starting to see a little progress in their development.

scalato23; I assume you read TJ's log. Have you been feeling any effects like he did? Since you also have been taking the IGF2 for a while. Just curious, probably not right.

Nope, no symptoms as TJ.

Wanted to post a link for my typical daily diet. I also use Flax and Fish Oil during the day. I just didn't put it in there. http://www.fitday.com/WebFit/PublicJournals.html?Owner=scalato23

scalato, if you don't mind me asking - whats your daily intake (dosage and times) and exactly how long have you been using the IGF-2? TJ

Here goes: As soon as Iwake up at 5:40am - 3 IGF-2 At 3:30pm (in between meals) - 3 IGF-2 At 6:45pm (pre-workout, which is at 7:30pm) - 3 IGF-2

Wednesday - Thursday Feeling: Pretty much the same, still hungry all the friggin' time. Dosing: Pretty much the same as well minus the IGF-2. Great cardio session on Wednesday. That night did chest/tris. I had some minor DOMS on Thursday but they have rreally kicked in today (unusual for me to get DOMS in my tris and chest, usually one or the other). Thursday took the day off as my body was feeling a little creaky so I gave it a day of rest. Will be working shoulders/back tonght and working on the HIT routine for next week.
Posted by: scalato23 Apr 28 2007, 10:09 AM
Dosing: Normal Feeling: Usual but intensity wasn't completely there. Alright, shoulders/back night. Smith Press (+2.5 each side for 10, 9, 8) Bbell Upright Row (+5 each side for 3x10) Dbell Side (+5 for 3 sets of 10) Lat Pulldown (+10 for 10,9,7) Seated Row (+5 for 3x10) Chins (3 sets of 7) Good workout but didn't feel as intense as I had the previous few. Possibly because I was thinking about my upcoming foray into HIT starting Sunday. Diet has been good and I'm still hungry all the time. Next week I think I'll be cutting out the oats w/ my PWO shake. Will probably also cut out the 1/2 protein scoop in the morning with the oats. Also considering going from 4 egg whites and 2 whole eggs to 5 whites and 1 whole one. Need to cut more cals.

Quality strength increases so far man. I know the mental downer of looking ahead to HIT. LOL RPM should be ready to go soon.... it's the best cure I've found so far for those blah days. |

Sunday Dosing: Did not take the pre-workout dosage of IGF as I did not work out. Feeling: Great energy Workout: I was supposed to start HIT Sunday but I am in the process of moving and I ended up moving for most of the day. But all was not lost, I pretty much got a full-body workout from lifting/carrying/moving stuff all day. Other: I have reeived NeoVar and will be starting that as soon as I plug it into my daily list of supps. Will be logging that as well
Posted by: scalato23 May 1 2007, 05:27 PM
From Monday 4/30 Dosing: Usual, however I added 4 caps of NeoVar at 6:45pm (pre-workout). Feeling: No change Did my first HIT workout this evening. Leg Ext Leg Curl Squat Stdg. Calf Raise Super Pullover Incline Bench Seated row Tricep Ext. Bicep Curl (barbell) I did 1 set to failure on each exercise which was typically 12 reps. I have some modifications I still need to do on the exercises as far as weights used go. I will be doing this again wednesday and friday so next week will officially be Week 1 with the correct weights for the intensity needed. I felt great the rest of the night, nice full-body pump. THe pump has carried over today as well over the entire body. Nice feeling. (I also started taking NeoVar so who knows).

Tuesday - Cardio and abs (yes, first time in a while) Wednesday Dosing: Usual but with NeoVar at 6AM and 6PM Feeling: Felt pretty good and somewhat pumped all day Workout: Day 2 of trying to get the weights correct for HIT and I think I may have them down now. Friday will be the real test. I really like this workout so far as I have been doing splits forever!!! Honestly, you may think I'm crazy but I think my quads are already looking bigger and my biceps as well (the stubborn part of my body). It felt good during and after (although I'm wiped out afterwards). Also, the gf will be out of town for a week and a half so my "bad influence" of eating out will be gone for a bit and I can really get a GREAT week in.

Thursday Dosing: Usual, however I did take 4 caps of RPM about an hour before cardio. Feeling: Usual good feeling however after the RPM I had great energy but not jittery. Workout: 15 minutes treadmill, 15 minutes bike, nand 15 minutes treadmill. Followed by abs. I honestly felt like I could've done another 45 minutes. I felt absolutely tremendous and really didn't feel tired even though I was really pushing myself.
Posted by: scalato23 May 5 2007, 05:09 AM
Friday night DOsing: Usual dosing which includes the NeoVar. I also did another trial of RPM before the workout. Feeling: Nothin new Workout: I tell you, I'm loving this HIT. Was able to move up weight in some exercises and add reps in others. Definitely feeling stronger already and yes, its official, the quads are growing as well as the biceps (a little). I bought the book last night so I can plan out the entire cycle and do some focus work on specific areas. Other: Didn't really notice anything from the RPM today as compared to yesterday when I did cardio. People are starting to comment on my weight loss, asking what I'm doing because I'm "shedding so much weight so quickly."

Saturday was a day off from anything and today I will officially start the HIT Program. Last week was basically a warm-up. As far as the stack goes, I'm really enjoying it. Although I can't tell when anything kicks in (probably because my body is saturated with it now) I feel pretty much the same the entire day. I did however have a case of the runs yesterday. Literally, right after I ate something, I had to go. And as nasty as this sounds, it was what I just ate. I didn't have any other symptoms of anything so I'm going to chalk that up to maybe eating some chicken the previous night that might not have been completely cooked. Just an observation but will see how it goes today. I feel I need to lower the calories more as the weight loss seems to be slowing down which is to be expected. The strength is still there and going up which I am very happy about. So, the IGF-2 is doing what it says. Cravings are still very minimal, so, good on the Lipo-PM. Since I only take the Lipo-AM first thing in the morning and then pre-workout I don't know if I'm really noticing anything. I'm usually a morning person so I have no problem with energy in the morning. I'm going to maybe add a dose in the middle of the day. Instead of the 12:30 Lipo-PM, maybe I'll do 2 Lipo-AM. I had some time before I picked up a moving truck today so thought I'd post some information. Vitruvian, still waiting to hear how best to take the NeoVar with my diet and other supps. I've sent a couple of PM's.
Posted by: scalato23 May 6 2007, 06:26 PM
Sunday 5/6 Dosing: I missed the 3:30 dose of IGF-2 but was able to stay on track with everything else. Feeling: Good Workout: Kicked my ASS!!! Whew. Drinking my kwick karb and bcaas right now. This was official HIT workout #1 and it was a doozy. When done correctly, this workout is great. I am completely wiped out right now but in a good way. And the best part, it only took about 35 minutes. Leg Ext Leg curl sqaut calf press pullover seated row incline bench tri. pushdown bbell curl Going to go stretch a little more and I'll report how I feel a few hours later.
Posted by: scalato23 May 7 2007, 02:56 PM
Just an observation but I am still having upset stomach symptoms so I doubt that it was the chicken I previously thought it was. I believe this is now Day 3. I only report this because of TJ's observations. No real stomach distention but it does look a little bigger than it had the past couple of weeks and it really shouldn't.

End of Week 5: Weight - 204 (-14 pounds from the beginning) BF % - could not find electronic machine or calipers Cardio tonight.

Tuesday took the night off due to a team outing for work. Tonight will be HIT workout
Posted by: scalato23 May 9 2007, 04:44 PM
To any AN reps, I'm still having issues with loose stool and issues with stomach cramping after I eat. I am getting plenty of fiber and have never had any issues with digestion. Somewhat similar to TJ but not the distention.
| Posted by: Vitruvian May 9 2007, 05:37 PM | ||
I'm still waiting to hear back from TJ....... You however are using Neovar along with IGF-2, correct? Drop the Neovar, or lower your doses and let's see what happens. The corosolic acid in Neovar can cause loose stools..... trust me... been there. |
Posted by: scalato23 May 9 2007, 06:40 PM
Duh, I didn't even think of that!! I read the other log about you recommending someone going higher on NeoVar but possibly getting the runs. I do believe that this does coincide with me taking the NeoVar. I will lower the dose and see what happens.<br><br> Did you get the PM regarding my diet and dosing schedule? I'll try and attach here or PM you again. When should I add the RPM when I get it?<br><br>
Posted by: scalato23 May 10 2007, 04:56 PM
Thursday Dosing: Normal Feeling: Not too bad. Slight DOMS in the legs and calves from yesterday's workout. Workout: 10 minutes HIIT cardio on treadmill. 10 minutes HIIT on bike. About 20 minutes of various ab work (main focus was obliques) Other: I have noticed a slight increase in DOMS lately and I think that's due to me perfecting the movements and using maximum intensity on these workouts. I took 2 doses of NeoVar today of 3 capsules each dose as opposed to 4 capsules each time. We shall see if that helps the cramping.
| Posted by: Vitruvian May 11 2007, 01:24 PM | ||
While most people have no issues with Neovar, there are a few of us who it just doesn't agree with for long term or high dose use. Let me know how the decreased dosing works. For me, it worked great for a couple weeks, then it seemed ANY dose caused loose stool. Wasn't an uncontrollable thing, but enough that it got annoying. I had to fear doing squats! lol As for RPM, depending on when you workout, it seems like an hour or less before your workout is best timing. But if you workout within a few hours of bedtime.... you may want to just use it earlier in the day. Preferably an empty stomach as well. I'll look back and see if I have that PM.................. |
Posted by: scalato23 May 12 2007, 09:14 AM
Well today I took 2 RPM upon waking up with my 3 IGF-2 and wow!!! Exactly an hour later I started to feel my heart pick up a little bit and had some energy starting to run through me. In addition, I've been crazy hungry again. I ate at 6AM (5 egg whites, 1 whole egg, and 1 cup oats) and was starving by 7AM. I ate again at 8:30 (5 oz. chicken and 1/2 grapefruit, 1/2 cup brown rice) and was hungry again by 9:30. Just some initial feedback on RPM.
Posted by: scalato23 May 13 2007, 12:31 PM
Took it again in the middle of the day and honestly, crazy hungry about an hour after every meal. Took it this morning and same results. Tonight I'll be taking it pre-workout and will absolutely tell you how I feel afterwards.

Yesterday was a day off and had a cheat meal at Outback. I split a 14 oz. steak with the gf and got a side salad with veggies. We didn't eat all of the steak and I had it today for lunch. Oh yeah, cheese fries as an appetizer (we didn't eat it all) and no dessert. So, even though it was a cheat meal we still tried to keep it in moderation. Things are moving right along and I've already cooked most of my meals for the upcoming week Can't wait to weigh in tomorrow. No major changes upcoming, I might rearrange the timing of the meals soon as I just got a new job and won't have to wake up so early so I'll more than likely be missing a meal during the day which I don't mind as I need to start cutting calories a little more to adjust for the weight loss up to this point. I'm also looking into changing from Metamucil to psyllium husk before bed.
Posted by: scalato23 May 14 2007, 08:10 PM
From Sunday night's workout: Took a dose of RPM 1 hour before workout and definitely had plenty of energy and intensity was through the roof as evidenced today by DOMS in calves and back. However, sleep SUCKED!! I know it's not a good idea to take supps. like that in the evening but I told you guys I would so I did. I tossed and turned all night (even with taking 1 Lipo-PM). So, DO NOT take RPM past the late afternoon. From Monday cardio: Cardio was not all that great as I wasn't able to give it my all due to the calves being sore. I did of course tough it out and rode the bike for a bit and walked fast on a 7% grade incline. Dosing was normal throughout the day and I feel wired right now (took 1 RPM at 4PM).
| Posted by: Vitruvian May 14 2007, 09:40 PM | ||
Scalato...... move your RPM doses back earlier in the day... obviously. I must say, I am fairly stim tolerant.... I use 4 or 5 a couple days a week, at around 5:30. I'm usually in bed by 10 on those nights. Out like a light! Other days they are dosed in the morning, with no issues at all. |
Posted by: scalato23 May 15 2007, 03:47 PM
Yeah, right now I'm taking it as soon as I wake up at 5:40AM with 3 caps of IGF-2. I'm going to take 2 caps at 3:30 which is 1 hour after a protein shake. I think my body can adapt to this. Workout tonight so I'm excited. Also, the gf is going to start HIT so I'll have someone to push me a little harder and help me with that last rep.

Well, did not get to workout last night due to the fact that 2 new people decided to come in and inquire about memberships sooo, that took up my time. I did however wake up early and workout this morning. Needless to say the intensity and "desire" was not there as it usually is. I took my normal regimen of supps. today and feel as I usually do. Still always starving after 1 hour of eating prior. Will be getting in psyllium husk and more xtend tomorrow.

Sorry for the delay in posting. I am in the process of changing jobs, moving at the end of the month, and going out of town as well. Last night was the last workout of Intermediate Workout #1 (did it for two weeks). I will begin Workout #2 next week. As far as the testing goes, I am out of Lipo-AM and have been using the RPM in it's place. Liked the Lipo-AM but I seem to get more out of the RPM. Weight seems to be dropping a little quicker and I am always hungry with the RPM. Lipo-PM: Think my body has gotten accustomed to it as I really don't feel that much from it anymore. But, next week is the last week on it and we'll see how I feel after dropping it. IGF-2: Love it!!! Strength is still going up and I really don't feel or look like I've dropped much (if any) muscle at all NeoVar: Undecided. I added this after all the others and haven't noticed a change in anything. Come to think of it, I have been drinking alot more water than usual lately and it's not from working outside. Didn't really notice it before, but there might be a correlation there. Again, we'll see as I start running out of some of the supps. Diet: Next week will drop the 8:30AM meal of 1/2 cup brown rice and 4oz. ground turkey breast. I have also started drinking psyllium husk powder before bed. Man, that stuff is NASTY!!! By far, the worst thing I've ever tasted. Water intake has also increased. Workout: Intensity is still there and I'm really enjoying the HIT program. We'll see how #2 goes.
Posted by: scalato23 May 22 2007, 05:41 PM
The move is completed and I'm almost free of the hotel. Feeling: Same as usual and still having difficulty sleeping so it does seem that the Lipo-PM was not the cause or cure for it. Dosing: Same Workout: #2 on the Intermediate HIT workout which kicked my legs and back big time. Will be looking to add a 2nd bicep exercise as 3 sets/week are not cutting it. Other: Well, my cravings have increased slightly since being off the Lipo-PM so it does seem to have done what it said it would do for the most part. RPM is still going well first thing in the morning and again around 1PM.
Posted by: scalato23 May 23 2007, 08:27 PM
Wednesday Dosing: Usual, may start upping the RPM does however. Feeling: Good. Workout: Kicked my ass but HIT is still going well. Clothes fitting looser and looser everyday even though the actual weight is has been staying constant.

Have not posted in a bit so here's what I've been up to. Still continuing with the dosing of RPM and IGF-2 which are the only 2 supps. from AN I have left. Will more than likely finish off the IGF-2 this week. Since I've been off both Lipos for a bit here's my assessment of them: Lipo-AM - I noticed I was able to get going a little quicker in the morning but again, I'm a morning person so it probably didn't have as much effect on me as it would with others. I typically have enough energy before workouts as well so, for me, I probably wouldn't buy Lipo-AM. Lipos-PM - Would definitely purchase it. I have noticed considerable increase in cravings since being off of it. Other than the cravings however, no noticeable effects. Still going strong with the HIT workouts and diet. Looking to reduce the diet more however, will be going out of town next week and will more than likely not be eating as much. However, I'm noticing a problem with the HIT workouts. The workouts are so intense (especially legs) that trying to do cardio the next day and then legs again the next is pretty tough. My legs feel dead by the middle of the week and I can't go with total intensity the rest of the week. I think I'm going to split the HIT workout into 2 days to give my legs an extra day of rest. I'm still losing weight and keeping muscle but I know I could be doing better.
Posted by: scalato23 May 31 2007, 08:15 AM
Well, I worked out Tuesday and adjusted the HIT workout: Super Pullover Underhand Close grip pulldown Pull-Ups Cable curl Hammer curl Concentration curl Tricep pushdown Cable kickbacks Overhead rope pull I still used the same intensity with 4 and 2 seconds and 1 minute rest in between sets and only 2 sets/exercise. I have major DOMS and it's Thursday. The workout felt great and I really enjoyed breaking it up and focusing more on certain bodyparts. Think I will stick with this for the last month of the competition on bulknuttrition and last 2 weeks for the AN competition. Dosing has been the same as well as my general overall feeling.
Posted by: scalato23 Jun 1 2007, 01:11 PM
Dosing: Normal Feeling: Normal Did cardio yesterday morning and this morning as well. Worked out this afternoon at a local gym and was able to perform some different workouts and movements and I really feel like it was a great change and workout. Diet has been decent even though I've been out of town.
Posted by: scalato23 Jun 3 2007, 08:00 PM
Got back in town today and just finished unpacking and cooking for the week. Continued to do cardio and tried to eat as healthy as possible while out of town. I'm about 80% happy with the diet which is better than I expected. Only got 1 workout in but it was a very intense one. I am officially done with the IGF, both Lipos and only have a few RPM left. I will post my official thoughts and results this week.
