Athletic Edge NutritionIntraXCell-FAQhttp://forums.bulknutrition.com/?showtopic=35254 SteelEdge-FAQhttp://forums.bulknutrition.com/?showtopic...07&hl=steeledge Statistics-Age: 30 -Sex: Male -Height: 5'10'' -Weight: 186.47 (1 week average) -Bodyfat: 14.2 (1 week average) Training experienceFor a good 6 years I was in a bodybuilder mode on and off but never had any desire to compete but just gain a lot of size. I went from around 135lbs to peak around 185lbs. I then started to get very inconsistant with my workouts and waveried anywhere between 165 - 180lbs. I never considered myself strong compared to the size that I gained. Then I started a Westside Barbell program back in November 2006 and have moved entirely over to the Darkside for good. I'm now training for a powerlifting meet in April of 2008. Present diet Currently for the past month I've been eating around 4,500 to 5,000 calories a day. Percentages split up somewhere around 40c/30p/30f. Training outlineTypical Westside so far Day1: DE Bench Day2: ME Squat/DL Day3: ME Bench Day4: DE Squat/DL Then throw in some GPP work here and there. Supplements taken for a least 2 months before testing Wake up 5:30am: 3 scoops (133g) Universal Real Gains, 2cups Milk (703cals, 5g fat, 101g carbs and 63g protein) Workout 6am: water PWO: 2 scoops (88.6g) Universal Real Gains, 1 scoop whey, 5tbls Dextrose, as much water as I can fit in the shaker (641cals, 5g fat, 101g carbs(50/50), and 53g protein.) Get to work 45min later: eat, drink water eat, drink water as much as I can all day and night Go to Bed: Casein Mix with 1 cup Milk, multi-vit Will Add in the following and test for a two month period: On Training Days: Pre-workout: carb drink as usually but with 1 scoop of Steel Edge and 3caps of IntraXCellPost-workout: PWO shake as normal plus 3 caps of IntraXCellOn Non-Training Days: No Steel Edge Morning Breakfast with 3 caps IntraXCellDinner with 3 caps IntraXCellPresent goalsCompete in the 2008 NASA Iowa State Power Lifting competition. Going for at least 450SQ/300Bench/415DL. Any and all prescription or recreational drugs you use that may alter resultsNever did any drugs and haven't had any alcohol since 1996. Anything else that may alter results – disabilities, conditions, life situations, etc. Nothing right now but you never know. "Before" picture O /H\ / \ Current Bench, Squat, Deadlift I did my 1RM 9 weeks ago now and was planning on waiting a good 12 weeks before I did it again. But I will go ahead and shoot for a 1RM again on my Squat, Bench, and DL. Then I will go for another 1RM in another 9 weeks after doing my test with IntraXCell and Steeledge and be able to compare. I know it probably wont be as large of a gain in weight increases as increases probably wont come as easy in the future. Previous Max: (With creatine) Squat: 355lbs Bench: 255lbs DL: 325lbs Total: 935lbs Current Max: (No Creatine) Squat: 405 Bench: 270 DL: 385 Total: 1060 Goal Max in 2 months: (With Steeledge and IntraXCell) Squat: 430 Bench: 280 DL: 405 Total: 1115 Any other relevant information I've been off creatine now for over a month and can feel the effects on my endurance and recovery. I haven't lost any strength as I have consistently lifted PR's the past month. My muscles seem to get sore quicker and for longer periods of time. I was going to go back onto creatine by April before I saw the opportunity to test SteelEdge and IntraXCell and decided to try something different that is supposed to help with exactly what I'm feeling. Will updated regularly the following information:- My workouts - How many calories, macronutrient ( protein/carbs/fat) amounts -Any cardiovascular or other exercise – include intensity and duration: Cardio? What's that? I'll list any GPP work that is done. -Any comments that I have on the product including side effects, impressions of the product, etc. even if they are possitive or negative -Answer Any questions anyone might post or PM

Week1/ Day 1 CommentsFirst day of taking SteelEdge and IntraXCell. Didn't know what to expect but was waiting and preparing myself for the "tingling" feeling that people talk about. I did notice more a rush feeling probably from the stimulants in SteelEdge which I'm not used to taking early in the morning or at all really. It felt like a drank two cups of coffee which I might do on occassion. My foot tapped quite a bit between sets and my body temp felt slightly elevated earlier in the workout. Normally I feel really warm after my workouts. Never got any tingling sensation but I took everything together this morning with my normal 3 scoops of Real Gains and 2 cups of milk. The taste wasn't as bad as I was expecting as I mixed a citrus flavor with chocolate flavoring. I did feel the buzz of stimulants well after my workout was over but I do a pretty quick and intense workout. Week1/ Day 2 Comments A little about the experience taking the products. I wanted to mention a few things again about the taste. I said yesterday that it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be and it's not. I wasn't saying that is was like drinking koolaide because it wasn't. I've just had much worse when it comes to supplement drinks. I might try it out tomorrow morning even though I don't workout by itself with water and see how it really tastes. Also wanted to mention that the scooper in the SteelEdge has way to long of a handle. Pain in the butt to pull out at 5:30am when you're still half asleep. I guess it's like that so people don't have to get their hands messy when it gets to the bottom but they still have to stick their hands in there to get it out. I said I was going to mention everything about these products in the log. The intraXCell caps are just the right size and I can pop all three in at the same time. I was really tired this morning and didn't feel the kick from the SteelEdge as strongly this morning but did start noticing the blood rushing a little more than normal by the second set into my first exercise. I had a really tough workout and felt extremely drained by the end. One of those days where you just sit down in the locker room and try and decide to either hit the bathroom to throw up or hit the showers to cool down. My body temp was pretty high and I felt like I had steam coming off me coming out of the showers and sitting back down. I noticed those my head was throbing a little on my way out of the gym. Not painful or a headache just feel like the stimulants were still trying to kick in. Finally starting to gain back my composure after todays workout now about an hour and a half to almost two hours since leaving the gym. This is typical for a really good intense Max Effort day for me. Energy level after waking up: 1 still asleep and 10 wide awake and about to explode 2 almost 1 Energy level once in the gym:4 then 7 after my second set of first exercise Energy level after workout: 1 (I'll say 0 would be puking and/or passing out) Time to complete workout: 43m The WorkoutME SQ/DLArch Back GM (Going for 3 RM) 1x3@bar, 95, 115, 135, 165, 185, 205, 225, 255 PR, 275 PR, 295 PR, 315 PR 1x1,miss@345 PR I haven't done these in a long time. I figured I'm due to do them again. Watching the westside squat workout tapes I noticed how much explosive power they have in their hips when doing these and standing with a wider stance. Last time I did these I used a shoulder width or so stance. So, this time I brought my stance out like a squat and did them concentrating on exploding my hips into it. I can really feel them now.
