Thanks, I've been getting my ass kicked since I started. Haven't had my entire body cramping up like yesterday though. Upper/lower Back, chest, hips, hams, and toes. It was like torture. Someone said I had a few tears coming out of my eyes going into my third DL. I didn't realize it as I was just so focused on getting that 485 lift.

Happy for you bro, great job! Seems like just yesterday you were trying to bench 250x1...come a long way.

Some dude got 1800 unequipped? Damn, what was the breakdown? 700 deadlift, 650 squat, 450 bench?

Anyway, congrats Jason. Hard work is really payin off.

Thanks. I've been really happy with my training. Can't wait to get a good solid 6months in before my next meet. Last cycle was total chaos.

Adrian is a beast. He was talking of retiring last year and I'm glad he didn't because he is still improving. It was a really high 600 squat and dead and I believe something close to a 500 bench. I'll have to check the results again when they get posted this week. Incredibly nice guy.

It's just a singlet. Part of the rules of every federation which I'd imagine is to help allow the judges to get a better view for each of the lifts.

your total seems to be going up at a decent pace, but your bench sucks shit. I'd be seriously interested in knowing whether regular shirted sessions would make a substantial difference in your raw lift. Inzer claims it does but I always thought that was marketing bullshit. I do know that after I went through a session at Southside my whole body ached like nothing I had ever done before.

I plan on being in a shirt once a month when I go over to Bill's. I'm just happy that it keeps going up. I played it pretty safe this past meet. I played the numbers and did exactly what I had to do to get my 1275 Goal that I set for myself from the very beginning for this meet.

Edit: I might even do a bench only meet with the shirt July '09.

I'm talking once a week. I don't think one workout in a month is going to make or break you.

Body is finally starting to recovery from the weekend. Back is still really tight and so are the hip flexors. But at least I don't feel pain in my back when I walk anymore. Time to think about the next 6 months.

Goals I've hit or maintained: 220 body weight from 165lbs, PR every week of normal training, 309 Bench from 200ish, 1279 total, and breaking into the top 100 (68th) list as of 04/16/08 based on coef from 4/26th NASA Iowa State meet.

Goals to Achieve in the next 6 months: Maintain a PR every week, Drop body weight back to around 205 in the next three month then back to 220 for the meet, maintain my ranking, Hit a 500 squat, 500 dl, and total 1300.

Major Weaknesses -
OHP - I really need to work in more overhead pressing movements and shoulder strength
Lock out DL - Pin pulls and Band/Reverse Band pulls
Lower Back Strength - Need to be working GM's and Zerchers in more. Susspended GM's using height based on DL.

6 Month Training Cycle break down

Why are you going to cut 15 pounds, only to gain it all back again? Why not just stay at 220?

Because I'd like to cut some fat and gain some more muscle and it's something I've never done. It will also allow me to overload again for those 4 XXX weeks and eat like a beast. Plus getting down to 205 shouldn't be to hard. Just cutting out creatine and beta alanine I'm down to 214 already from 220.

First day back in three weeks. Feels like years. 275 was heavy as hell. Pull-ups sucked. I was done. Did a lot of GPP gardening style today. Hand tilled a pretty decent sized vegetable garden. Planted a row of watermelon, half a row of cauliflower, half a for of broccoli, a row of cucumbers, a row of giant pumpkins, a row of yellow sweet corn, two rows of white/yellow sweet corn, and finally a row of white sweet corn. Tilled up along side the garage for a bunch of varieties of flowers. Behind the garage facing the house planted 5 rose bushes. Then topped off the day by digging up a couple of holes of planting two Bradford decorative pear trees. Time to go pass out now.

You train in the morning, before work?

I never understood how people could do that. I would much rather train in the evening after work.
