| gaba alone doesn't do much if anything. L-theanine,kava kava, valerian work better. Phenibut if you really wanna get serious. |

i take some once in a while at night... by itself... i should stack it... hmm, maybe i'll do that tonight... maybe i'll just fuck it up with sleep supps... but gaba by itself can really do wonders at relaxing sore muscles...when taken before you go to bed.. tolerance is built pretty quick on it...at least for me it did... so i only use it when my muscles are extra sore... and you really should be on an empty stomach... melatonin works pretty well for sleep... it does give you some vivid dreams which i like.. more so than gaba has the most vivid dreams i get comes from ZMA stacked with 5-htp though... i like that....i don't know which one does it... but i used the 5-htp because it has the b6 that i need phenibut i have.. i took it the other night... 2.5 grams chillin in the evening... felt a little mellow... then 2.5 grams an hour before bed... i woke up feelin pretty dazed... it was cool and all but kind of prevented me from getting my early bird workout... i kind of just lounged instead.. oh wait..nevermind... i wasn't suppose to post |

| Is the correlation between GABA and increased growth hormone BS? Thats the main reason I havent cycled it. Im assuming I too have built a tolerance because I dont get that flushed/tingly feeling or shortness of breathe anymore. I only got it the first time. Ive taken 5g a night the last week or so. Dreams are a lot more vivid and get pretty intense sometimes.... Its seemed to produce a lot of "hopeless" dreams for me. Like where you can never win or save yourself or do what you need to do. |

| i think the boosting growth hormone is mostly bullshit... i think there is something there but unworthy of a supplement for that alone...from what i remember reading originally...and i could be wrong... but that the increase in gh was attributed to getting yourself into a deeper sleep...i think it's pretty minimal... but the stuff is cheap through bulk... i think it's worth the money just for the tingling of the muscles and the relaxed sleep every once in a while... i don't usually go longer than 2-3 days straight....just cause of my tolerance issue. |

| you can go longer than two or three days... i just never do partially for the tolerance but also cause i'm not always looking for the effects |

| I have never had better sleep from any supplement like I have from ZMA. Phenibut worked a few times but ZMA is consistant. I take it every night and I sleep really good. I wake up drousy though. I have a lot of lucid dreams. I can controll them. ZMA has brought on some really long dreams. I wake up thinking I've gone through so much! LOL. |

I did not expect to feel anything from GABA, but I did. On an empty stomach, a few grams under the tongue can knock me out. It also gives me the itchies, a little like Niacin, every time. I don't know if it's doing anything much, but I definitely know when I've taken it. I even mixed my drink wrong once, and realized within five minutes that I had switched GABA for the Taurine. |

| And, FWIW, all the research I have seen suggests that GABA cannot cross the blood-brain barrier at all well, so the links above are irrelevant. This is more a discussion of GHB, and Phenibut. |
