| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Designer Supplements expands into Sports Nutrition! Long Island, New York – July 1st, 2006 At approximately the same time Designer Supplements moves into its brand new state-of-the-art, 5,000 Square Foot headquarters in Oceanside, New York, Designer Supplements announces launch of its third branch of the company – Designer Nutrition™! Designer Nutrition will provide the physique-oriented and athletically inclined all of their sports nutritional needs including high-quality proteins, meal replacements, protein bars, weight gainer, and pre, during and post-workout nutrition. As with all products released by the Designer Supplements brand, each product will be well researched with substantial scientific backing and backed with fantastic customer service. While many of the products released under the Designer Nutrition line will be straight-forward and no-nonsense, several planned releases will encompass the True Innovation™, always associated with Designer Supplements. The debut release from the line will be a high-quality protein blend subtly titled, SUSTAIN™. SUSTAIN™ is ideal for use between meals and before bed as it will have both fast and slow-release peptides to ensure that you sustain an anabolic environment for as long as possible. And it will taste sublime. SUSTAIN™ is scheduled for a near-immediate release in delicious Peanut Butter Fudge (more flavors to follow). Followed hot on its heels, DN will release two new products – the SUSTAIN Bar™, the accompanying meal-replacement protein bar also in Peanut Butter Fudge flavor, and of course, the eagerly-anticipated post-workout formula, Replenish™, in Green Apple Pie flavor. The masses have been patiently waiting for this, and both DS/DN (especially our athletes) are excited about its release. Other products already under construction for Designer Nutrition include Critical Mass™, a high-quality, no-nonsense weight gainer, with a more practical approach than the typical sugar-filled weight gainers available on the market today. A high-quality protein source and a low glycemic carbohydrate choice make this weight gainer ideal for adding quality mass without adding unwanted fat. Fire™ and Ice™ will serve as the final pieces of the workout nutrition puzzle, along with XCEED™ and Replenish™. Fire™ will provide the ideal pre-workout macronutrient profile for energy and growth while stacking beautifully with XCEED™ in terms of both efficacy and taste. Ice™ is intended to be consumed during training to help maintain those grueling workouts, encourage an anabolic environment and reduce the typical catabolic response to strenuous physical activity. Top your workout off with Replenish™ to set you on the road to recovery and growth. Finally, keeping in context with its new Mission Statement, XCEED™ will be moved to the Designer Nutrition label. Of course, XCEED™ will still be the measuring stick of the industry in relation to maximizing your performance as an athlete; the only difference will be the label and the brand new flavors! The first flavors available will be Lemon Ice and Cherry Ice. Keep an eye out for the full Designer Nutrition™ section of our website (www.DesignerSupps.com) to be live and full of information on the future products by August 1st. | PB Fudge flavor does sound good. What's the pricing and nutritional info? |
| Posted by: 40-yard dash_2 Jul 2 2006, 08:34 AM | ||
You can't compare Sustain to Dymatize in terms of quality or price, because high quality casein and whey protein isolate which are found in Sustain are not cheap. In addition, DS has reinvented the wheel in terms of top-notch flavoring, and best of all, it will not be a rip-off. You are assured that the nutritional profile is solid in regards to Sustain. I just don't want to release too much info on it a good month before it's release. Will definitely get back to you on this near it's release date. |

Quite a bold statement. A lot of the protein products currently on the market taste great so for you to take it to a whole new level may be a hard task to achieve. GF PRO's green apple is a great flavor and I can't imagine you can make a green apple pie flavor that tastes significantly better. But DS has introduced some innovative products so flavoring isn't out of the question. I did enjoy the DS sponsored ActivaTe trial and will defintely give the reformulated version a go. I do hope DS does some more sponsored logs here even though this board isn't as big as others. |

I was merely talking about taste and not protein blends, mrps, etc. I thought when DS was going to reinvent the wheel in terms of flavoring it was in regards to proteins in general. Hence a lofty goal to accomplish but if just confined to MRPs then it shouldn't be that hard. Casein is a bit harder to mask the taste of so perhaps I took things out of context. |

| I wasn't talking about Dymetize, actually. I've used Muscle Milk's Chocolate Peanut Butter flavor, which is cas. based. I do consider their flavors to be above most others, but it's hard to compare to this new product w/o knowing much about the nutritional profile just yet. Like the other posters, I'll def. look forward to trying it out, esp. if samples are available. I've tried lots of brands and am always willing to try anything new and innovative...and tasting great is an added bonus. |

| SUSTAIN is a blended protein, whose primary ingredient is high quality micellar casien. There is also whey (WPI) in there as well. Finally, we add a touch of inulin to improve taste, texture, add fiber, and slow digestion. |

| Sounds good. I am a big fan of Beverly International's protein powders like Ultra Size and Mass Maker. There are not too many high quality and good tasting MRP's on the market. |

I am waiting to try this PB fudge |

| We will do some testing groups here, but we will not be sending out full containers of Sustain. That would just be very economically difficult to perform, but we will however be sending out 3 heat sealed serving packs for you to try. This is protein after all, so a couple of servings is all you really need in order to effectively judge Sustain in regards to sensory appeal (taste, texture, smell, etc). We will also be sending out the Sustain Bars about the second week in August for you guys to try too, so look out for that. |

| Look forward to the bars, it's hard to find a decent one. I agree the samples are th way to go since taste will be hte key factor. It's protein so we know it works and it is from a reputable company so quality is not an issue. |

| I'd def. be interested to give it a try. I'm always interested in good nutritional profile AND taste and mixability combined. Looking fwd. to these developments. |

| Hi, Thanks for sharing your ideas and views with us. I would like to know more on this. CSK Unlike most supplements, these products are made from organic foods, not synthetics. Visit the Naturally Nova Scotia website for more information. http://www.naturallynovascotia.com |
