Wed. June 21, 2006 ~ As stated, I received a bottle of letrozole and am starting at 1.5-2mg / day for ~ 5 days then lowering to .5-.75mg for the remainder of the bottle. If I notice a difference I will buy another bottle before it runs out. I've taken raloxifene and tamoxifen with mixed results most to all of which are just temporary. I have very low BF% and it is glandular gynecomastia from puberty. I've had it for ~4 years. Will be updating as I see fit. This should be a good aid for those trying this in the future. Tips, advice, is all looked at. This is my log, please do not hijack it. ~

Letrozole is by prescription only. You can't just go out and buy another bottle. From what I understand, letrozole is only effective a short time after the gyno has set in, such as after an anabolic cycle. In your situation, where the gyno has been prevalent for many years, the breast tissue is probably hardened, leaving surgery (either liposuction or reduction mammoplasty) the only treatment option. Good luck.

tufnutz - I hear ya. It's not extremely hard to find letro online. This is going to be my last resort before I see what surgerys good for. Thanks for the advice. If anyone else wants more info visit my post in the prohormone section: "Will Insurance Cover Gyno Surgery"

I guess after two days I'm really not supposed to update it. But for the record it kinda looks like the puffiness went slightly down. It's like water weight or something and it just drains it. But it's probably placebo. Anyways - I've been doing 2 mg ed, I will keep this up for a little bit, see how things go. For the record no side effects - I think on raloxifene I had a real bad acne reaction but in two days on letrozole no breakouts. thats it for now hopefully I can update some good stuff in like a week. And then if it's no good or gets no better after ~3 weeks im going for surgery... I might need a kick in the balls to go do it. Hopefully I get kicked.

day 5- Monday (Really sunday) June 26(25), 12:22 AM. As I said after two days, the puffiness looks smaller. I can say now that it is definitely smaller but I wouldn't say it's any smaller than it temporarily got while on the other meds. It's noticably smaller to me, but I still hate it. When I feel the gland it feels like it has little bumps in it now like it is breaking down... I do believe I recall this same feeling while on raloxifene. I would definitely not go so far as to say it IS breaking down by any means... I hope it shows more improvement soon. It may be a lot to ask so soon but it's killin me. Will keep the updates

I would definetly get the liposuction. It will cost a preaty penny but, well worth the money. The money it cost is nothing compared to the change is your self esteem, and ego that it will bring. TheDon |

thedon have you personally had it done or know someone who has? I don't even know that I need lyposuction just glandular excision. im trying to get it covered by isurance by saying it causes emotional distress/depression etc.

letro its self will reduce gland but taking letro with nolva will reduce the gland to about .25 the starting size. Reversing it is virtually impossible w/o using surgery if you've had it for four years.

If I can get the gland to .50 of it's starting size I will probably be happy - it's ~2 inches in diameter and at 1 inch it probably wouldn't be an emotional bother. When you say it's virtually impossible do you mean you think it won't get ANY smaller? Dead, I was wondering how old your gyno was when u used letro to reverse it, and what your schedule of letro dosage was. I still have like 15ml of nolva left I can definitely use. I thought using both was like overkill? Anybody else have thoughts on this? Thanks, alot.

Day 8 I don't believe the situation has changed much. I believe that it sort of drained the area, and made it sliiightly less prominent but the actual gland is still very much so there and does not feel to my hands any smaller. I am convinced that this will not help me more than 25%... if that. I will let you know though.

yeah it will definetly get smaller but do nolva and letro at the same time (pct?) the fat will disappear and the gland will actually shrink

dead> what did it feel like as you noticed the gland actually shrinking, was their any specific feeling or symptoms. How old was your gyno - what was it from?

gyno was 4 months old from damn M1T, i used Rebond after (shouldve used nolva) the gland fealt like it was breaking up. i would rub it in my fingers b4 and it felt solid, now it feels much smaller as if there are gaps and slices in it
