well yea I was just getting back into chest because of been having tendon problems with my chest/shoulder and felt good finaly but I just hurt it again I'm going to the doctor to find out what the hell is wrong with me. But yea my school reps out 225 I was going to get used to the lighter weights and get better endurance.

my last personal best for incline bench press was 255 for 6 reps.
barbell military press-185x5
dumbell row-80x8 after pullups
skullcrushers-115x6 after shoulder routine
barbell rows-225x6 a few weeks back now using db's
deadlift-400x1 5th time deadlifting in my life goal by end of year is 500
barbell curl-120x4 gone down since then now using lighter weights and high reps
squat-300x6 a problem area for me gotta keep working at it
stiff leg deadlift-300x8 then grip let go
incline dumbell press-80x6 after doing 255 on incline bench press for 6/ 3 sets
pb's for some isolation ex's
side laterals-40x8
d/p curl-40x6
d flyes-50x6
rear laterals-40x6
1 arm dumbell shrug-100lbsx8 after back routine (2nd time doing these)

Yeah, I've thought about doing a power phase ending with a meet. I haven't ruled that out in the future, but not in the next few months. Maybe, I'll do it between my next shows? I would do it partially for the learning experience too. I wouldn't use any suits and crap though. BB'ing is my main goal though.

My bench is my weak part though due to triceps strength. I am not a huge flat benchpress fan either. I prefer the other angles for growth.

Of note, I also squatted 315 for 11 reps nice and low and did 265 on the decline for 10 reps.

The other day I got a new DL PR... 425. Yeah, it's not runnin' w/ the big dawgs, but I don't pride myself on having great strength... just great muscles. wink.gif

Also, I did 100 lbs. DB incline presses the other day for 8 good reps. That was a first. The hardest part about it was getting situated in the incline seat holding 100lbs. in each hand. That is a bit awkward.

I'm not doubting you or anything and I'm not trying to be an a*hole but your Miltary Press and dumbell shoulder press seem awfully high for how much you bench do you do full reps on the Military Press and dumbell shoulder press?

yeah ive gotten that before, and i have no reason why...i think for awhile i was overtraining my chest so i wasnt getting any stronger in that dept., and yes i do the full ROM, i make sure i feel a good stretch and then get the contraction

yea I've been pretty close there before but everytime I would get hurt so I changed my form I keep my back tight and tuck my elbows now I think this helps alot to prevent injury I'm trying to get a video up here but I can't find my camera Im trying to get someone to loan me one.

Last PB's for me were a 400 lb squat/ 325 lb bench/ 430 lb deadlift.

also 100 lb db's on incline for 6 reps, 205lb military presses for 4 reps

Cant do this anymore went through a training downfall due to work.

I wouldn't say 4 reps is "mastered". You should stick with the 100 pounder until you can eight reps....then just use plates instead of db's...btw...pb last week weighted dips 4x45 (180lbs) plates for 5 reps on fourth and final set.

Great job with getting into the Deadlift. It is a tough lift and I'm also trying to get mine up. That 325 that you did for 6 is where I started with my 1 rep max.

The time I did 245 x 4, I'm pretty sure the spotter (some random dude) gave me the last 2 reps. I hate people that don't know how to spot. Oh well. Yeah, I think 270 and beyond are within reach. Gonna test 1RM again in a few weeks, after working the shoulders/tri's some more.

I dont know how much longer Ill be able to keep this up. My hopefully soon to be job is going to kick my ass. Ill be lifting over 35,000 pounds of grocery product per day and be walking/standing every hour on the job. Probably drop a couple weight classes and some strength since I will be burning massive calories and probably only lift 4-8 times a month depending on how my body responds.

Yeah, I just don't have much time any more besides the occasional post and daily check-in. My days are typically 12-13 hours long and I have to post on bb.com and cl.com as well.

I give a little advice here and there, but I just do it so much in the evenings as part of training.

yep. Deadlifts are a great mass builder, and form/technique is a huge component to deadlifting. Thats why you should keep in the 1-4 range. If your going with high volume your very prone to breaking down your form and ''cheating''. You can easily injure yourself that way. because your going so heavy, you should only deadlift twice a month.

Train Smart. Do a ton of deadlifting singles with a low weight for a while and have someone who knows what they are talking about critique your form. Or just post up a video here so we can help you out.

Nice pulls. Did you touch and go, or did you pause at the bottom. I find pausing makes it quite a bit harder on subsequent pulls.

I haven't deadlifted heavy in two years. I only did 405 once. unsure.gif

I paused at the bottom but next time i attempt that im looking to do the "touch and go" as it seems to be easier!

Squat I didn't max but I was working with 5-6 rep sets of 405-425.

Yeah, I'm always doing something different that hits different areas of my main lifts. The monsters are bands and are stronger then the mini bands. Not sure how much tension just make sure I set them up the same way every time.

According to Elitefts the monsters provide around 135lbs of tension at the top. That includes being doubled up and both sides I believe.

That's a great bench opfor. You really should be hitting those deadlifts man. That would really get that christmas tree standing out plus all the other benifits of them.
