Hi,

I have been impatient to test this one since I had good results with it at 1000mg. Now it should be awesome. I will run for 40 days, and post my results, reps, nutrition, etc...

Diet plan will be like this:

Meal one: 2/3 oats, 8 egg whites
Meal two : Cytosport's complete whey
Meal three : 4-6 oz lean meat(ex: chicken breasts...) with greens
Meal four : Cytosport's complete whey
Meal five: 80 g. gatorade w/2 scoops whey (Half during, half PWO)
Meal six: (1 1/2 after workout): 2/3 cup oats with 4-6 oz. lean meat and greens
Meal seven : 1 cup cottage cheese ( skimmed)

On non-training days, I will not have a meal five. I will have 2 x-factor pre-workout, and the other 3 will be spread thourough the day. No fish oil will be taken, and Purple Wraath will be used PWO. I want to gain no fat at all, and gain the cleanest muscle possible. I will enter my workouts as they are done. My measurements will not be taken now. Only at day 10, because I am bloated from competition (May 27th). How was it? Well we were 3 in junior and I finished 3rd, but did a great show, It was my first one, so I am extremely proud of myself just to get ther it takes a lot of will and energy.I will take measurements and all that once I am back to normal.

edit: SORRY, I kept having mail errors and tried again, but it posted 3 times! ohmy.gif

Congratulations on your first show!! I'm sure it takes a lot of discipline (and guts)...

Just curious, what were the results of your first experience with X-Factor (pounds gained - change in body fat %)? Also, when did it start to kick-in? A lot of people say the gains start only on the second bottle...

I am currently taking x-factor (clean diet, etc.). I've been taking it for 2 weeks. I've noticed DOMS especially after doing legs and some minor strength gains, but not much else yet. I decided to take 1250mg on work-out days and 1000mg on non-workout..... (I work out 4 to 5 days a week, so I figure taking 1 less on non-workout days would help extend a day or 2 at the end....).

Good luck with your log....

DAY 1
Thanks man smile.gif I will post some pics as soon as I get my USB for my camera. I wasn't 100% cut, but experience is also a really important thing, so next time I will be more ripped, and will know my body more.

For my first experience, I can say that yes, it really takes a bottle to feel good pumps. While I was on x-factor for the first time, I was eating like 3 tri-o-plex a day, and eating like a freaking pig. I did gain a little fat, but mostly muscle. For the gains, probably 7 pounds in 50 days if I remember well which are excellent gains by the way. It will kick in, don't worry to push your 100% and you will feel it do it's thing wink.gif

OK! Let's get to day one. I did chest today.
Incline barbell press, flat bench press, decline bench press, and high pulley.

Also did 30 min cardio.

I felt an awesome pump, (just got back on diet after 2 days on junk so thats why wink.gif )

DAY 2

Today I trained legs and biceps. Did:

Dumbell squats 4 sets 8-10 reps
Dumbell deadlifts 4 sets 8-10 reps
Calves: 3 sets 30 + static 30 sec at end of each set

French presses : 4 sets 8-10 reps
rope pulldown : 4 sets 8-10
dips : 4 sets 10

Felt pretty energized and felt the soreness has lowered a little. Prob. because of purple wraath. Nothing out of ordinary yet.
Here are some pics awaited!!!

another

What the heck, another

Could have been more cut, and there was a lot more space for mass, but its all experience and I am still extremely proud of myself just to have the guts to go there smile.gif Comments are greatly appreciated!!!

Congrats on your first time on stage. Don't worry about placing last. Look at it this way, you have plenty of room to improve. Like you said, you can add on more mass and get more cut.

DAY 3

Thanks Guarddog wink.gif I know I was not the best there, but still. How many are willing to do all those sacrifices? How many train bad, have injuries, and don't take it seriously? I am one of the rare that have the guts to compete. smile.gif Now that I know what it's like, and how my body reacts, I will tear the stage up in a couple years cool.gif

Ok, so let's get back to the x-factor log. I don't feel it really working, but I am sore big time! I've been out of competition, so that's probably why I am still recovering from this week-end. Everything is in check, and intensity is up in the air. I did biceps and cardio today.

Incline dumbell curl 4 sets 8-10 reps
Incline hammer curl 4 sets 8-10 reps
Concentration curl 4 sets 8-10 reps

Pretty good pump and cant move my biceps anymore.

Good luck man. I'm thinking about running XF + Activate for 50 days starting in a couple of weeks.

Posted by: jonathan85575 Jun 1 2006, 06:36 AM
Sounds great! I just cant stand activate because of the acne I get. So it works 100% sure, I am just too prone I guess sad.gif At least x-factor does not give me too much and I can live with it. It's the 1st time I do 5/day, so I hope I will get better results wink.gif

I found this interesting on the product write-up:

Because X-Factor™ intensifies protein turnover in exercised muscles, you may need to increase your total daily protein and calorie intake in order to gain significant muscle bulk. This often falls in the range of a 500-1000 calorie per day increase.

X-Factor™ relies on the body's ability to convert arachidonic acid to active prostaglandins in order to be effective. This conversion can be hindered by the consumption of anti-inflammatory drugs, supplements, or food products. The following is a list of things to minimize the intake of while taking X-Factor™:

* Pain medications containing acetaminophen, Ibuprofen, or Aspirin
* NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs)
* Omega 3 fatty acids
* Flax and Fish oil supplements
* N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC)
* Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA)
* Avoid the regular consumption of foods known to be high in omega 3 fatty acids or anti-inflammatory nutrients, such as cold-water fish, peanut butter, and sesame, olive or peanut oils.

IMPORTANT: Remember to drink at least 64 ounces of water daily while taking X-Factor™.

I guess I won't ever try this product.

Well, Guarddog, I guess you don't know what you are missing. Seriously. 90% of the people who tried it report significant gains, minimal sides, and gains are kept. No PCT needed which makes it a lot better than any hormone precursor IMO.

Peace

I would love to reap such benefit to GD, but that list of foods/supps to avoid would seriously alter my diet. Plus, I'd be afraid of what effects it would have on my already terrible joints.

Jon, you need to put on some serious mass. Weren't you um,.......embarassed? unsure.gif

Posted by: jonathan85575 Jun 1 2006, 11:40 AM
Dude, I am 18 years old, and on a junior competition. I know I have to put on more mass, but for a first comp, I am pretty proud of myself. Not everyone can go through this and no I was not embarassed. I am seriously proud of myself. I lost 35 pounds and will add some clean weight for the next year.

No offense but you look like a homo in that little black thong and dozen layered rub on tan.

That other guy makes you look like a fool, sorry.

You should be proud of your progress thus far.

Oh, and your diet sucks. Birds eat more than that.

Posted by: Notyelf Jun 1 2006, 02:19 PM
Yeah, joe was a bit harsh there wink.gif, but he does make a good point, you definitely need to eat more biggrin.gif

Posted by: joseph23573 Jun 1 2006, 03:03 PM
Sorry Jon, that was kinda harsh of myself. You have a lot of potential for 18.

Getting on stage is a feat in and of itself. Good job on that.

Eat and lift!

DAY 4

Thanks for the heads up guys. Don't forget what I was like before:http://teenbodybuilding.multiservers.com/Mylog/pictures/index.html

So let's focus a bit more on x-factor now. I am starting to feel good and get good pumps. Probably because I am eating more carbs than while cutting, and it gives a fuller feeling to the muscles. The reason why I don't eat like a pig is I want to do a clean bulk, and when you get out of a contest, your metabolism is quite slow, and to avoid fat gain, I will start slowly to increase calories. I have adjsted the diet. I eat 1 1/2 chicken breast instead of one for the 2 meals, and increased 2 scoops to 3 scoops that I will sip for about 30 min instead of chugging it right up. Got a desk job, so it's easy to have things handy and eat at the good times. I will keep carbs that way for now as I feel great, and don't feel like I need more. I get 160g. total in the day which is good for a clean bulk IMO. I will up on fat and protein instead.

DAY 6

I did Back yesterday. Today I did abs and forearms along with 15 min. cardio. I am not feeling it kick in like crazy, but I have a feeling of fullness which means it will start to be kicking soon wink.gif

Posted by: Phil98168 Jun 4 2006, 08:40 PM
Hey are you taking two caps before workout or no!?

Posted by: jonathan85575 Jun 5 2006, 07:53 AM
Yep I am taking 1 at 6:00 1 at 12:00 2 at 3:30(before workout) and 1 at night, usually at 7:00. I am starting to feel sweat and hotter. It's starting wink.gif

I'm curious, why? B/c of the limited omega 3 intake?

DAY 7

QUOTE

I'm curious, why? B/c of the limited omega 3 intake?

I think that he means it takes a lot of sacrifices to benefit from x-factor.

To day I did some
decline dumbell press 3 * 6-8 reps
flat dumbell press 3 * 6-8 reps
incline dumbell press 3 * 6-8 reps
incline flys 3 * 6-8 reps

Along with some abs a little bit.
Felt some fullness in chest and had a good workout. I will do 30 min. cardio weekdays on lunch hour from now on, because my job is to sit all day, wich means I still have to do some kind of exercise during the day, which will be 30 min. Just to say I did something in my day..

Just got BSN lean dessert, but at my surprise, there is some canola oil in that blink.gif I'll have to wait until the cycle is done sad.gif Oh well, we'll stick to what I have for now:) Overall, I am impatient to feel sore. We'll see on tomorrow's wakeup wink.gif

I'm curious, why? B/c of the limited omega 3 intake?

That is predominantly my rationale. I'm a bodybuilder therefore my diet is filled with omega 3's, olive oil, good fats premixed in my shakes, etc.

Plus, the inflammatory nature of the product minus such good fats make me think that it would further aggravate my already detiorated joints.

DAY 8

This was leg day. I did:

Squats 3*6-8
Stiff legged deads 3*6-8
Calves 3*50

I felt an awesome pump today, especially in my calves. I love it. My chest feels vevy sore today. DOMS are really setting in.

EDIT: Added some food on diet.
Added 2 cups cottage cheese : 1 with meal 1 and 1 with meal 7
Also added 8 egg whites to oatmeal for supper.

This brings approx 360g. protein and 2500 cal. I really have enough and feel better day after day smile.gif

Jon,

I commend you for even getting on stage...don't listen to all the cr*p just keep at it.

P.S. Food is the most anabolic substance out there.
