 | QUOTE (GuardDog @ Jun 1 2006, 07:02 AM) | I found this interesting on the product write-up:
Because X-Factor™ intensifies protein turnover in exercised muscles, you may need to increase your total daily protein and calorie intake in order to gain significant muscle bulk. This often falls in the range of a 500-1000 calorie per day increase.
X-Factor™ relies on the body's ability to convert arachidonic acid to active prostaglandins in order to be effective. This conversion can be hindered by the consumption of anti-inflammatory drugs, supplements, or food products. The following is a list of things to minimize the intake of while taking X-Factor™:
* Pain medications containing acetaminophen, Ibuprofen, or Aspirin * NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs) * Omega 3 fatty acids * Flax and Fish oil supplements * N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC) * Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) * Avoid the regular consumption of foods known to be high in omega 3 fatty acids or anti-inflammatory nutrients, such as cold-water fish, peanut butter, and sesame, olive or peanut oils.
IMPORTANT: Remember to drink at least 64 ounces of water daily while taking X-Factor™.
I guess I won't ever try this product. |
I'm curious, why? B/c of the limited omega 3 intake?

 DAY 7

I think that he means it takes a lot of sacrifices to benefit from x-factor. To day I did some decline dumbell press 3 * 6-8 reps flat dumbell press 3 * 6-8 reps incline dumbell press 3 * 6-8 reps incline flys 3 * 6-8 reps Along with some abs a little bit. Felt some fullness in chest and had a good workout. I will do 30 min. cardio weekdays on lunch hour from now on, because my job is to sit all day, wich means I still have to do some kind of exercise during the day, which will be 30 min. Just to say I did something in my day.. Just got BSN lean dessert, but at my surprise, there is some canola oil in that I'll have to wait until the cycle is done Oh well, we'll stick to what I have for now:) Overall, I am impatient to feel sore. We'll see on tomorrow's wakeup

That is predominantly my rationale. I'm a bodybuilder therefore my diet is filled with omega 3's, olive oil, good fats premixed in my shakes, etc.
Plus, the inflammatory nature of the product minus such good fats make me think that it would further aggravate my already detiorated joints.
