Can this stuff help you sleep?. I used to use St.Johns wort for axiety because I can't afford my doctors prescription - Lexapro. Also do you need a scale to use this stuff so you can weigh out the dose or does it come with a scoop, or is there volume equilivants so you can use measuring spoons?. There are volume equilivants for everything of course, just wondering if anyone has worked it out for this stuff?...Sorry to for the long run on sentences!

If you take a look at Ergopharm Gabatrobin, you can get a sense of what Phenibut is all about. As for measuring, look into a Cap Em Quik and NOW capsules all on this site.

A lot of people report very deep sleep on it, but also tiredness the next day.

sphongled, do you think while facilitating someone going into deep sleep that phenibut may decrease the amount of essential REM sleep during the night?

This in turn may lead to increased sluggishness when one wakes up.

I'm speculating of course, but do you think this could occur?

It's possible. GABA agonism can inhibit cholinergic function, which is important to REM sleep. It may also be due to the long half-life of phenibut, so enough is still in your system the next day to make you feel tired.

I just want some to help me relax. Especialy before bed. Also I want to know the volume equlivants so I don't have to purchase a scale just so I can use the powder....

Well if you take a flat teaspoon of phenibut, and remove approximately half of the powder you'll have around 1.5-2g of phenibut. This is a good amount for some people but depending on your preference you may want to knock it down to 1g. It'd be nice if scoopers could be included in powders but otherwise you'll have to fumble with teaspoons, or cap them.

I think for most people 1-2g of phenibut should be enough. Those who've taken benzo's or higher doses of phenibut may differ because they've built a tolerance to phenibut and might not feel the same effect at that dosage.

*Individual results may vary though*

Ok volume is on the bottle, thanks cobra. Thats great, so i can just add to to a drink...Would it interact with any stimulants like ephedrine or caffine?. I know you may be thinking why take the two together?. Well for a more focused but relaxed type of energy. Also I plan on taking it with my last meal of the day to help me relax before bed. So I will either do both(take it with my EC, and before bed) or just take it with my last meal. I have always been an anxious person, and have problems relaxing, but EC never botherd me. You would think ephedrine would bother a person like me, but after trying the first time several years ago, I found out otherwise.

Phenibut will probably blunt the effects of stimulants. If taking it to relax before bed, I would take it about two hours before you intend to go to sleep.

I got my order today, how much should I take for my first dose?. I am taking it to relax before bed. Just in case you need my weight, I am 206 pounds on an empty stomach after a trip to the bathroom. I'm steadily loosing fat while I cut calories. Things are going good as far as fat loss. Sorry, thought I would add that in since I a so happy about my progress.

I would try a gram first. You might not notice much but better safe than sorry.

I tried a 1/4 teaspoon first then an hour later another one. Then last night 3 1/4 teaspoons. It does help me sleep pretty good. I don't really notice much though in way of feeling drunk like some of you people say. I think I will stop using it for a few days though, I don't want to develop a tollerance. I didn't wake up and I slept all through the night which is good, although I did feel grogy in the morning, but its still worth it to use.

I don't think it induces a "drunk" feeling either although I have never been drunk so I can't be certain, just doesn't seem similar to what people describe from alcohol. However it should potentiate the effects of alcohol.
