 | QUOTE (Bryan60275 @ Feb 4 2006, 01:05 PM) | | I've been hearing about this stuff in a lot of threads lately and cant seem to figure out what exactly is in it, the page just says .... complex. Also, I'm curious as to what in it makes it NCAA banned? Anyone know? |
I wrote the following quote on another forum, but I think it might be of some help to you. Also, I believe it is NCAA banned because the GMS is a diuretic, so it could fall under "other related compounds" in the diuretic category. | QUOTE (dwm230000) | Controlled Labs Glycergrow
Amount Per Serving:
Calories 54 Calories from fat 54 Total Fat 6g 10% Saturated Fat 2g 10% Sodium 417mg 17% Potassium 417mg 12%
GlycerGrow Complex: 7,500mg Glycerol Monostearate (GMS from vegatable source) and l-taurine.
CellCharge Complex: 834mg Sodium chloride and potassium gluconate.
Normally, I am just putting up estimates of blends in here, but I am pretty confident I got these ingredients exactly right. I will explain why after the breakdown.
GlycerGrow Complex: 7,500mg 6000mg Glycerol Monostearate (GMS from vegatable source) 1500mg L-taurine
CellCharge Complex: 834mg 417mg Sodium chloride 417mg Potassium gluconate
- The CellCharge complex was easy to tell because they have to list the amount of Sodium and Potassium in the product. 417mg of each are listed(which adds up to the 834mg complex).
- Glycerol Monostearate contains 9 fat calories per gram. There are 6 grams of fat and 54 calories from fat listed in the ingredients. Obviously, there are 6 grams of GMS in the product then, as there are no other ingredients that would be responsible for those calories. The 1500mg of L-Taurine was found by default. That explains the GlycerGrow Complex. |
