First, I would like to thank Thermolife and Stalion for the opportunity to be a Ecdysten tester.

15 Day Log:

-Start: 1/24/06
-End: 2/7/06

Dosing:

-Ecdysten: 2 capsules 3 times a day

Current Stats:

-Age: 20
-Sex: Male
-Height: 5'6
-Weight: 139lb
-Bodytype: Ectomorph
-BF %: Pending

Workout Schedule:

-Sunday: Chest
-Monday: Off
-Tuesday: Legs
-Wednesday: Back
-Thursday: Biceps & Triceps
-Friday: Shoulders & Traps
-Saturday: Off

-Abs: Short routine of 4 sets of 25-50 reps two to three times a week
-Cardio: None

Lifting Experience:

-Been lifting for about 3 years, got really serious into it about a year ago. I train hard, eat right, and wont stop.

Diet:

-4000 cals daily. Clean, mostly derived from milk, oats, protein.

Short-term Goal:

-Get up to about 145lb of good solid mass.

Long-term Goal:

-160lbs of solid mass. Not really into the huge, giant look, more into the athletic look.

Day 1

Leg day:

-Squats
-Leg Press
-Leg Extension
-Leg Curl

-Leg day as usual. Took my 2 caps Ecdysten with dinner since thats when I got the package, 2 caps preworkout, and 2 caps before bed. Didnt notice anything, but of course since its day 1.

Day 2

Back Day:

-Wide grip front pulldown
-Close grip pulldown
-Tbar row
-Seated Rows
-Back extensions

Notes:

-Only did half the workout because I started getting a real bad headache halfwat through. I dont think it was the Ecdysten as I had a minor headache when I woke up, just seemed to get worse throughout the day. Dosed 2 caps with breakfast, 2 caps in the afternoon, and 2 before my workout.

Day 3

Biceps & Triceps

-Alternating dumbell curls
-Seated Preacher curls
-Close grip bench press
-French Press
-Standing Straight bar curl
-Vbar press
-dips

-Ab work

Notes:

-Felt really good today. Had a really nice pump going. Took my usual 2 caps of Ecdysten before my workout. Weights stayed the same so not sure if the Ecdysten has kicked in yet.

Lookin good trans, i personally havent used ecdysten yet, but from other testers we have it usually kicks in around day 4-6. I think 1 tester took a little longer, and 1 tester took a little less, but that seems to be about the average

Shoulders & Traps

-One arm lateral raise
-Seated dumbell press
-Bent over dumbell raise
-Dumbell Shrug
-Upright row

-Ab workout

Notes

-Had a good workout, nice pumps. Weights stayed same, im not as sore as I usually am from bicep day (yesterday), so im not sure if thats from the ecdysterone yet. Next week I beleive will be the true test of Ecdysten as it will have had ample time to kick in.

Off Day

Notes

Took my 2 caps Ecdysten with breakfast, and about to have another 2 with dinner. Abs seem a bit more visible today, not sure if its due to the Ecdysten yet. Next week should definitely be more of a test of the Ecdysten...

Notes

Took my dose of Ecdysten before my workout in the afternoon, felt good throughout the workout. Not sure if I notice anything different in terms of strength, recovery, endurance that the Ecdysten is suppose to help with... hopefully this week is really when it kicks in.

Off Day

Notes

Feeling kind of tired today. Couldnt sleep that well last night, constant tossing and turning. I dont think its due to the Ecdysten, just due to staying up late all weekend. Ive got Anatomy lab today at 6 pm till 9.... ahhh it sucks so bad.

Day 8

Leg Day

Notes

Today was suppose to be leg day, but I woke up today with a terrible headache. I dont know why, water intake, plenty of sleep, but I had a really bad one that lasted throughout the day. I ended up not going to the gym, but took a nap. Its about 10 at night now as I type this and I feel better, so hopefully tommorow will be a great workout day.

Notes:

Took my usual dosages of Ecdysten, 2 caps before my workout. Started to get a dull/slight headache, so didnt get to finish the workout. Im not sure if its the Ecdysten as I have just been very busy lately, but didnt notice anything in the recovery/strength dept. Im beggining to think that the dosages, which I read need to be near 300mg a day of Ecdysterone, are too low as suggested on the bottle. I havent noticed anything out of the ordinary with my workouts since using Ecdysten...

Notes:

-Today was a great workout. Weights were up, and felt a good constant energy throughout the workout. Not sure if the Ecdysten contributed to this weight increase, or if I had been just needing to increase the weights in that area anyway. Hopefully tommorow will yield similar results of weight increases...

-Felt like any other shoulder workout. Weights stayed the same. I had hoped some weights would have shot up. Had a chem exam from hell today, naw, not too bad just boring. Got a "B" on it, so I did alright, I get mad at myself if I dont make A's... smile.gif

Today is my off day, so lots of rest and relaxation smile.gif
Mom made some awesome tacos today, ate like ten of em, lol. Feeling kind of sore... Good some good cell volumization or "temporary hypertrophy" if you will.. Tommorow is chest day, looking forward to that... And I hope the seahawks win the superbowl as well wink.gif

Notes

Took my 2 caps Ecdysten with breakfast, and about to take another 2 now before dinner. Dont feel sore at all from Friday's Shoulder and Trap workout. Cant really attribute anything to the Ecdysten, feel the same as I did without it, and only one more day of Ecdysten left.

Leg day:

Notes:

Leg day was great. Felt awesome. I upped the weights on leg press, extensions, and curls and did it, when just last week the weight it was at was pretty heavy. I was a little suprised at the weight increase, could be the Ecdysten, or my awesome diet right? lol

Well, this was my last day of Thermolife Ecdysten. I will post a full review of the product at the end of this week so maybe some anticipation will build up for it smile.gif

Impact of Ecdysten on workout: 6/10, Some days weights seemed to go up a good amount, but didnt see a increase on most days. Didnt feel any greater pumps, strenght or recovery. I did not notice a decrease in DOMS.

Affordability of Ecdysten: 5/10, if you dose how the bottle says, it will last you 15-30 days depending on if you take 1 cap three times a day or 2 caps three times a day. But, from what I have read, you need 300mg of Ecdysterone a day for it to be effective, and each cap of Thermolife Ecdysten is 15mg. This makes doing a months worth of Thermolife Ecdysten very expensive.

Comparison of Ecdysten to other products on market: 6/10, I did see some strength increases, but only on some days, and could be contributed to other factors besides the Ecdysten. I think you could get better results from a creatine product.

Again, I would like to thank Thermolife International and Italion for the opportunity to be a tester for Thermolife Ecdysten. Though I did see some good weight increases, they were not consistent enough for me to contribute it fully to the Ecdysten. Based off my own research, I beleive you need 300mg of Ecdysterone a day to feel its full effects. Based of the dosage directions I followed from the bottle directions, I was getting 90mg of Ecdysterone a day. I did not notice any increase consistent increase in strength or recovery that I could contribute to the ecdysterone. Abs seem a bit more visible, but I will contribute this more to diet than the ecdysterone. Thanks to all who followed with this log!

thanx for the review Isomer! looks like you especially had some wicked gains in strength on legs!!

i apologize for seeing this late btw.

i think you are confused about how much ecdysterone you need however...there are different sources of ecdysterone, most others you see at 300mg-2g are 40-60% extract from cyanotis vega and are extremely inferior to our product. not as much is needed for effect when what you're using is pure and from the superior source - Rhaponticum carthamoides.

this is a very confusing concept to grasp, and i understand, but do not believe that every type of ecdysterone is needed in the range of 300mg-2g...this is how we have been trained to think via crappy Scifit and other company's b.s. Ecdysterone products.
