[PRODUCT]920[/PRODUCT] I just bought a bottle of this stuff because I'm almost done my ICE, and I figured I'd give this stuff a go. I just noticed that the intructions on the bottle say to take a scoop in your mouth and chase it w/ water or juice. From the original looks of it, I assumed it was similar to ICE in that I could just mix 2 or 3 servings in a big bottle of water, so I could sip it during my workout. Has anyone tried that with this stuff yet? I'm curious if it'll work the same way, or if the suggested way is the best way to take it...

I use 3 scoops mixed with a litre of water during my workouts and then have another 3 scoops mixed in with my PW shake. I contacted MRM about the instructions and they said that is primarily because the powder takes a while to dissolve in water, and just to swirl the bottle before drinking.

If the label is to be believed, MRM's BCAA+G looks like a possible alternative to using ICE. The MRM product is 5g BCAA / 1g Glutamine, per 6g serving size. Giving it a 83.33% : 16.67% BCAA:Glutamine ratio. ICE is ~6.84g BCAA / 2.77g Glutamine, per 10g serving size. Giving it an ~71% : 29% BCAA:Glutamine ratio. So the MRM product has a better BCAA:Glutamine ratio, which is quite desireable. Also, comparing the cost: MRM's BCAA+G costs the same amount as a tub of ICE ($48.99), but contains 1000g (compared to ICE's 908g). So there is a slight advantage here as well, for MRM vs. ICE. I haven't tried it yet, so I can't comment on the taste, but once I run thru my current supply of ICE, I paln to include a tub of BCAA+G on my next order.

alright, whats everyones thoughts on the need for bcaas and glutamine beyond the amount you will get from ON's whey (3-4 servings a day)? just a question. because this seems awful expensive to be running through one tub every month or a lil more. when i can get 50 bucks of Ons whey n itll last about 3 months. i just dont see the ADDDED benefits. but someone please correct me/ let me know whats up with this stuff.

According to an article I read, during intsense exercise the body likes to use BCAAs for energy because they are the best donators of amino groups (hence the name, branched chain amino acids). In order to do this, cells use vit B6 to catalyze the reaction (both ICE and MRM's product contain B6).

Tastes Good, Doesn't mix well. I ended up just putting the powder in my mouth and chasing it with water.
