GHB

Back in the day, AST Research was my favorite supplement company: They released Dymetadrine 25 and sold GHB in powdered form. I never bought it at a GNC. As far as I remember, GHB was banned when it was still sold as a powder. At least that's what I remember. Whatever the liquid stuff was, and where it was sold, that was lactone and 1,4 butandiol.

Just as a little trip down trivia and history lane... and to memorialize the past.

Bill Phillips used to produce a newsletter from Mile High Publishing (his company), as a spin off of his anabolic steroid review book and supplement review book (perhaps one of the best contributions he made). I remember him reviewing dymetadrine and Ghb, and selling them direct to consumers via his company. The next year, he introduced Met-RX in two bottles, base and plus. He had a great track record, and I still remember talking to him on the phone - was a pretty cool guy at least to me at the time, taking a call from a young bodybuilder who was totally into learning more.

I dont care for EAS's later days, but gotta give the guy credit for introducing me along with a bunch of other bros to ephedrine hcl, ghb, and met-rx in 1989/1990. And for pretty much convincing me to stop buying a bunch of shit for supplements (can anyone remember orchic extract, smilax, gamma oryzanol, dibencozide, HoT STUFF,. Lol ... Man, we have it so much better now. To think what protein powder tasted like back then and the freakin candy we drink now. That's why I laugh when people criticize what stuff tastes like in their reviews - everything tastes good compared to then.
