[PRODUCT]106[/PRODUCT] hey guys, I just bought 1 gram of Yohimbine HCL and tried to dissolve it in 200 ml of water to make a 5 mg/ml solution.

However, instead of dissolving, the powder just settles to the bottom????

I thought this stuff was supposed to be hydrophilic. Can anyone recommend something please?

shake the crap outta it and then draw with a pin and shoot it into a gel cap and swallow, or just shoot it into your mouth. it doesn't have to be disolved to work

so I guess that goes for the guggulsterone powder as well? I was told to dissolve it in oil but it too did not do too well.

I was just concerned about taking the wrong dosage...i figured if there was still some powder, when I draw up some liquid it would not be a consistant concentration....one draw could be 5 mg/ml and another could be 10.

But i guess i am forced to do it this way for now

The fact that it clumps up is a good thing, this means that it's starting to dissolve: it just isn't going to finish anytime soon. Here's some things to try.

1) Add more solvent. One gram should, eventually, dissolve in 200mL (6.75 fl oz.) of water. You might try using 300mL. Don't worry about making your solution too dilute, you can always boil off excess solvent when you are done.

2) Mix it up. Break up the clumps with a pin; solubility increases with surface area. The more spread out you can get the powder, the greater it's chances of dissolving it will be.

3) Heat it up. Solubility also increases with temperature. The hotter you get it, the greater your chances of getting it to dissolve will be. When heating a substance you can also "supersaturate" the solution. When it is really hot, you can squeeze more milligrams of Yohimbe HCl

I hope this helps.
