I made my own capper and what I do is make sure that my powder is just that...all powder and no lumps. I make enough passes to fill all the caps and then pick up the whole unit and bump it down on the table a few times. Repeat this a few more times before using the tamper. What this does is give you an almost perfectly even amount to start filling and tamping the remaining material. Takes a few minutes more but I feel I am getting the same amount per dose.

Are there ever any problems with getting more of the power into some of the caps than others? Or can you pretty much rely on an even distribution of the powder? Also, if you're putting several different powders into the same set of caps, should you mix them together first or just do each one individually?

I'd mix them all together. You'd be there for pretty much half your natural life trying to do each powder by itself.

if i had to dose ph or steroid (in bad hands is dangerous stuff) without scales i will throw a litle bit in a lot of creatine/dextrose. so if u buy 100g of PH throw then in 1kg(1000g) of creatine (shake well or this might becomme dangerous) now u have 1% powder for 1g of creatine u have 100/1000= 0.1g=100mg.
if u dont shake well and take 5g of PH u are pretty dead. this can be dangerous if powders that u mix together dont have the same density they wont mix well.

yeah so do u measure out say 4 g and divide it into 50 pills n thats how much is into each pill/cap or do some get more than others?

You pretty much just pour powder onto the tray and keep scooping it around until all the capsules are filled to the top. Then you weight them all together, determine the weight of 50 capsules using the empty ones, subtract that, divide by 50 and this is your potency. If you want to reduce the potency and still use the same equipment, this is where fillers come in (and it's also why almost all capsuled supplements have these fillers. To take up volume inside the capsule to get as close to 500mg (or whatever you goal is) as possible.

To help speed up my capping process, I bought three more of the same trays so I can arrange them together and fill four at once. I haven't tried it yet, I hope it makes it easier.

so basically capping is a bitch if u want exact amounts?
