Im looking for something to take for hitting a deeper sleep, but without the 'chemical hangover' effect that you get with other substances that do this such as melatonin. Would this stuff fit the bill?

Depends on dosing, but Phenibut will definitely give you that sluggish/hungover feel at the higher-end doses. I occasionally use it but only at half-dosing, it does its job and without the hangover...
