I'm actually asking this question on behalf of my gf. She is about 5'6" and 130lbs and she works out at least 3x a week with weights and cardio. She is looking for a product to help her lose maybe about 5lbs or so and help her tone up but the problem is that she has a hypo-thyroid condition. She takes Levothyroxine 0.125mg everyday and is also on birth control with Cyclen. I was wondering if there are any products that can be taken that will not interfere with either of these because it seems most fat loss supplements say not to be taken if you have a thyroid disease. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

I would be interested in this too, since my wife is in the same boat.

tell her to get off the BC and she'll prolly drop 5lbs easily...

she should also get a 2nd opinion on her dose of thyroid meds. it maybe too low for her age.

Getting off the BC isn't really an option, but getting a second opinion on the thyroid dose couldn't hurt since she thinks it's too low anyways.

Getting off the pill won't necessarily make you drop the weight. 5 lbs. isn't a lot, so she can probably do that with just diet. What is her diet now? You can always find ways to cut calories.

Her diet is actually pretty good already I made sure of that, just wondering if there were any supplements out there that wouldn't interefere with those 2 conditions?
