Yes, it's very important, as it's a source of healthy fat. It provides both
omega 3 and 6. It also helps correct lipid issues. The liquid is much cheaper than the pills, although the pills will be more convenient.
I usually only use it at night, so convenience isn't an issue for me. I'll take a tablespoon of it and chase it w/ a
casein based
protein shake before bed. Another benefit is helping to further slow the
digestion of that shake, by adding fats.
Flax and/or
fish oil should be a staple, in my opinion.
