To keep this short, I think I strained my right pec. It's not very painful, I have complete flexibility; however when I do any chest-type lift I feel like it's abnormally tense (not a pump).

Has anyone ever had this? I've tried stretching and that has helped a bit, but does anyone know how fix it? If it requires time off, how much?

It's hard to say how long. Just wait until it feels back to normal. Could be 1 week, could be one month, who knows.

As long as you have insurance, go see the doc and have them refer you to a physical therapyst....could just be a strain, could be tendonitis or you could have torn the muscle. I'd get it checked out asap, just to bypass a serious injury.

You don't want to be in the middle of a set and the muscle completely tears sending the barbell/DB flying towards your face!! wink.gif
