Hey everyone, just thought I would ask peoples opinion...Anyway in the past week my engine on my vehicle was blown!. Me and the wife decided to move and on one of my trips to get stuff the engine started "knocking". Anyway after that I had to get help from others to help me move stuff back to my apartement!. I haven't been eating that well that past week, I had to eat some damn protein bars for meals. I finally got a new car on tuesday, actually its the wife's car. I need to find myself a job and quick too. I've used some basic supplements for a while now, was wondering what can I get away with cutting out?. Heres a list Efa lean RadoxSuper EPASuperior Mens Multi by Now FoodsRala for carb loads on the weekends. I have enough radox for about 1.5 months, the same with efa lean. I am running out of my multi, and super epa. Also I have some HSN driver which I take before bed and only have enough for about another week. I also have plenty of regular whey. I am planning on eating mostly chicken and tuna since those are the cheapest forms of protein I can find. I am trying to think of a cheap alternative to the before bed HSN Driver shake. Maybe some cottage cheese?. Also I am on a cycle of M4AD. I am about a week into it, I have my liver protection, and PCT is already all set, so I am set for all that. I actually gained 5 pounds since last Friday, but I don't think its muscle hahaahahah!. Any suggestions are welcome. I need to hit the pavement to find a job damn it!. All this bullshit happend in one week!. Oh well, tuna and chicken isn't THAT BAD!. Help!

Dump the radox, ala, driver, and efa lean. Keep the multi and the super EPA. Get a 10lb bag of whey. Gram for gram, its a cheaper source of protein than chicken/tuna. Before bed, just have a whey shake and add some fat/fiber.

Two and a half scoops of whey is 60g of protein for 75 cents. Two cans of cheap tuna is 66g of protein for $1.80. I never said protein was a meal, but neither is just chicken. The point of this thread wasnt to debate this guys diet, it was to give him a way to save money.

Hey man, Sorry about the hard times, but here goes my "during the college year, and I'm poor" list of how I eat high protein at lost cost. 1. Tuna, you already know this, sometimes they have deals 3/.99$ which i stock up on. 2. Cottage cheese, the low fat stuff is $2 for a thing, and thats 6 servings at 14p so 84 grams of protein(usually eating 1/2 of one thing a day) 3. The deli! they have some good deals on cold cut meat, also ask if they have anything near exp date. I was buying 5lb of lean turkey for $2 a lb when it was like 1 week from exp. 4. optimum 100$ whey, only $47 from 1fast400.com and you won't find more protein for your buck 5. Chicken, good ol' chicken, I like to eat 1/2lb a day chicken but cannot always afford that so I'll grab 2lbs of chicken in a package for $5 so like $2.50 a lb which isnt bad at all With this list, I eat well and get lots of protein, btw I put The deli meat above chicken on the list b/c I am on a tight schedule, sometimes I cannot get 30min to cook chicken and sit down to eat it. It's a 1/2lb turkey sandwhich and running to work! Hope this helps Big Jay O

Man, if youve got the dedication to try and stick to your diet through this kind of bad luck, then ive got no doubt youll eventually be taking home a very nice paycheck. Most people take the easy way out... and employers are always on the lookout for someone who can make the best out of what theyre given. One more thing about the diet, though... you could save a little more cash by just using normal 30% fish oil instead of the 50% super epa. It works out as 60g of epa/dha for $15 ( super epa), or 60g of epa/dha for $6.50 (optimums fish oil). You need to take more pills, but thats not much of a hassle. You might even be able to find the fish oil cheaper than here (when you count in shipping) at a Costco or BJ's type of wholesale store. Same with the multivitamin.

Thanks for all the suggestions and help. So for a slow digesting protein before bed I think I will use cottage cheese, or some low-carb milk. Actually both mixed together in a blender would make a good slow-releasing protein shake/meal before bed. Keep the sugestions(sp.) coming!. Maybe we can get a mod to combine all this stuff and pin it up permanent. "Po persons guide to bodybuilding nutrition" or "High protein food for dirt cheap".
