After 3 years of dating and the usual ups and downs of a relationship where the age difference is 9 years, I finally asked my gf to marry me. We went back to where she lived and we met and I asked her on our 3-year anniversary. Other details went into it of course, but I won't bore you with those unless you want to know how. She said yes obviously and we have set a date of 2 years from now. That will give enable her to finish her last year of college and then another year to find a stable job and give us plenty of time to plan the wedding. We've agreed to take our time throughout our entire relationship so as not rush anything and having her finish school, get a degree and a good job before we get married is important to us both. Just wanted to let everyone know.
