Basically I'm really concerned with loss of muscle while taking stimulants such as an ephedrine/caffeine stack. If I rotate it on for 4 weeks and off for 2 will there be much muscle loss, if any, and how will it effect fat burning for those periods? I really don't do much of a work out, a 2 mile walk/jog twice a day, weighted crunches every other day and push-ups every other day, a 5 mile bike ride every weekend...

Yeah..

Thanks

If anything the stimulant will help you KEEP your muscle. That cycle sounds good

i'm not sure I understand, what muscle are you referring to?

what I mean is, I don't see any weight lifting in the workout, unless this is a new workout plan to attempt to lose fat (and muscle with it)..

you can't really expect to have muscles if you don't work them, and overworking cardio has a possibility of putting your body into a catabolic effect, does it not? I don't believe that ephedra/caffeine would help you at all to retain any sort of muscle, but maybe something like glutamine? Or maybe check into some avant labs products (i only mention them because i visit their boards so often, and people seem to be pleased).

Yes, ephedrine has an anti-catabolic effect, i.e. it will help you preserve muscle if anything. Glutamine only has an anti-catabolic effect if you are critically ill and not getting enough protein.

Thanks for all of the responses, I really don't have much fat but I really want to burn the amounts in my midsection and thighs, I'm not reallyl interested in getting more bulk as in muscle wise, as I am fairly happy and the nominal work out that I have going seems to keep me pretty stable. A friend was concerned for me coz he thought that there might be some muscle loss, but apparently he heard wrong..

Thanks again!
