I know it is best to mix creatine monohydrate with some time of sugar liquid. It is usually reccomended that grape juice is used, but what about gatorade or other sports drinks? Do they work as well. I know not to use orange or other acidic drinks. I would just like some feedback on what you use to mix it with, and if sports drinks are okay.

Powdered gatorade contains mostly dextrose which would make it better to take with creatine over bottled gatorade (mostly fructose). Grape juice works fine as well, and really there isn't much of an issue of taking it with orange juice or anything else acidic; creatine won't break down that quickly.

Honestly though, I don't feel that it matters all that much what you take it with. Whatever it more convenient/tasty for you is what I would go with. I usually just mix it in with my pre and post workout shakes, which depending on whether or not I'm cutting or bulking will or will not contain dextrose.

heh, doesn't mixing it in a drink and consuming that drink over long periods of time cause the creatine to turn to creatinine (since it sits in the liquid for so long). just be a boy (i say boy because even a boy can do it, rather than a man =p), scoop it into your mouth, wash it down with water.

This takes a few days, so consuming it over an hour or two is fine
