personally, i don't swear by creatine like a lot of bodybuilders do. i've tried a few different brands--EAS Phosphagen, Cell-Tech ( Muscletech), CytoVol HP ( EAS), Creatine HSC ( AST)--but was never very impressed with the results. i got the most noticeable effects from cell-tech, usually gaining 5-8 lbs in water weight, along with some strength (probably an extra two or three reps/exercise), and swelling up a bit. not that i would call these effects positive... but anyway, let me hear what all of your favorite brands of creatine are... cocktails or straight creatine... stories about taking it...any tips on getting greater effects? hit me back...

Optimum's Pure Creatine Monohydrate. The quality is always fantastic, the cost is always one of the most competitive ones in the market, and the guys @ Optimum (despite being dicks from time to time) just have a penchant for cranking out consistently good protein & creatine produts. Unless your're a non-responder, I wouldn't go anywhere else. If you are, go with Swole ( Syntrax) or Loaded ( SAN).

These are typical comments symptoms of a non-responder. I felt the same was as you did after a few experiances with Prolabs Creapure and AST Micronized. I have since tried NOZ and Swole V2. Although I liked NOZ at the time, Swole is a noticably superior product. Great for recovery. And not to mention that you can get it unflavoured for dirt cheap, you cant go wrong.

Pure creatine mono, any brand with the Creapure label (this includes Optimum), is the way to go in my opinion. If desired you can add in 20-30 g of dextrose. If you are a "creatine non-responder," any effect a "better" creatine supplement has will be independent of the creatine, because these supplements do nothing to increase creatine transport - JMHO.

Right now i am taking plain ol' creatine monohydrate. I got a good deal on some of the GNC creatine mono. Isnt GNC part of optimum?

Those who are non-responders of creatine, it means that your body is already producing the maximum amount of creatine monohydrate, which is a naturally ocurring molecule in your body. Cell volumizers such as v12, swole, 5-creacyamine and metaboic pump will get you past the sticking point. I havent heard anything about MRI's CE2, creatine ester is the most up to date form of creatine so there is no anecdotal evidence supporting it. MRI supplements tend to be pricey anyway.

I use allmost all of them, and to say CELL-TECH is the worsest is so bad the only reason you probably gain some weight and pobably also get bloated like I did is because all that dam sugar they put on it.If I wanted to I could do that my own self. And so for the best creatine the prize goes to V-12 TURBO, man is this stuff great I love it so much I just want to overdose on it, lol.

I have tried many different brands and have always been a bit of a non-responder to creatine, but recently I gave phosphagen elite a shot and the added beta-alanine (which is the only difference from regular phosphagen HP) really made a difference, because it was the first time I got a noticable difference from creatine.

I really like V12, but creatine mono puts me right into lipolysis mode. Any tips on staying out of the bathroom with this stuff?

I would have to say PrimaForce's CreaForm has been the best I have used so far. Both Syntrax's Straight and EAS Creatine both gave me great stomach discomfort and forced me to stop using them. With CreaForm I have not had this problem! Strength gains keep comming each week while I am cutting. So I definatly recommend CreaForm!
