That's not a simple yes/no question, but yes it would, to a degree. Ephedrine is anti-catabolic. But the best defense against that training volume is proper nutrition and rest. Depending on your size, you should consume a specific amount of carbs and BCAAs pre-weights workout, during (sip diluted mix), and, after. For the cardio, you should consume some carbs about 1-1/2 hours before and then sip a highly diluted carb/BCAA mix during, then have just BCAAs immediately post. Also, you need plenty of rest - 8 hours sleep a night plus naps when needed. And even if you do all this, it's probably a good idea to take a one week break from this training schedule once every 6-8 weeks. Quick note, if you're using androgens or anabolics, then that changes everything. But I assume you're clean?

Yes, I'm clean, never even done a cycle or anything like that. I've been doing endurance/cardio for years, and there is no way I can give that up. ( And yes, I do use carbs & protein in a way similar to what you describe ) ( And no, I don't want to do HIIT ) However, have recently started to weight train, and I'm fairly certain I'm losing any muscle gains because of the 50 mins endurance/cardio. I just wondered if there was any reasonably clean way of not losing any gains, specifically if there is anything I can buy from Bulk Nutrition, and I read somewhere that Vasopro MIGHT help, so that's why I asked the question. As for sleep, I used to sleep 8 to 9 hours a night, but my current stack has knocked it down to 5 or 6 hours, which I'm VERY happy about. ( Am fairly certain it's mainly ALCAR that's doing it, synergising with Green Tea Extract / Chocamine / Rhodiola ). Well, anyway, thanks a lot for your reply, and if you or anyone else can think of anything else to add re possibly a useful supp ( or combi of supps ) that I could buy from Bulk Nutrition, then I'd be delighted to hear of it.

Also, doesn't the body do it's repairs and rebuilding (this includes muscle) during sleep? For me, ephedrine definitely gave me a little more punch and attitude to fuel my workout, but I never got any noticeable gains. It made my heart palpitate sometimes, which I didn't like. As for losing muscle after adding cardio, you are burning more calories than you are eating. Eat more carbs and protein, aviod foods with bad fats and supplement with the omegas. You cannot increase muscle without sufficient calorie intake.

I believe this is true, yes.
I used to sleep 8 to 9 hours per night, and am COMPLETELY AMAZED that my stack has now transformed this into just 5 - 6 hours per night! I feel great all day as well, awake and focused etc. Supps have changed my life. - Oh yeah, and exercise! <g>
But are there any hidden dangers to reducing sleep like this, on a permanent basis? Is the body being denied some vital 'downtime' for repair & rebuilding and who knows what else?
Answer is, I just don't know.

I've been losing weight over the last few months, which I'm happy with, and I do avoid bad foods, and I do supplement with omegas etc. My intake of carbs is always higher on exercise day. I eat loads of wholemeal bread before any exercise, also have shake with dextrose & maltodextrine, and all kinds of supps ( CM, ALCAR, Chocamine, etc etc ). I now eat more protein than I used to, as well, tuna & chicken mostly, also protein shakes & protein bars. Gawd bless Bulk Nutrition, and all who sail healthily with her............ <g>
