On another thread, someone said the active ingredient is sulbutiamine.
You can get that currently on Rizzer's site (I've bought it there).
I may have the dose wrong when I take it in bulk, b/c I prefer Spike so far.
I asked if it was the same or slightly tweaked molecule -- didnt see a definitive answer yet, but I havent been searching for other threads.
If anything the Spike caps are convenient, and as I said in my other thread response, if I dont take the supplement, it doesnt matter how cheap it is.
Sulbutiamine is bitter/B Vitamin tasting - not terrible, but certainly not something I love drinking as a powder mixed in with
creatine,
piracetam, etc... I burped after taking a spike cap the other day - and the taste was fricken awful! Pretty much on par with what sulbutiamine tastes like, like chewing on a B-Vitamin.
That said - the best combo I've found for hiding icky taste is an Alacer, "Emergen-C" packet plus some diet soda, such as Diet Sprite/7-UP. The sugar free Hansen's drinks are pretty good as masking bitter flavors too when combined with an Emergen-C packet. Esp, orange or black cherry.
Beyond-A-Century also sells something called "Yuck-Away" which is a bunch of acids, like malic acid, fumaric acid, etc... and that hides bad tastes pretty well too.
Please let me know what you find ...
I'm curious to see what the other companies come out with - I'm sure there's some great stacks that havent been released yet.
